Simone Perrin (@simoneperrin123) reported from Wellingborough, England@VirginMediaCorp what does it take to speak to someone at Virgin media. Your customer service is absolutely appalling. I am having issues with my broadband and I can't speak to noone to rectify the issue. Waiting an hour to get through to someone. Disgusting

Rob Anderson #TipToeingOutOfHibernation (@Tech_Analyst_UK) reported from Bedford, England@virginmedia I'm well aware of the service status page, but when it just gives a generic 'we know there's a problem and hope to get it fixed by 3pm' it's not very helpful. But seemingly the chatbot is even less so. Just lost connection for the 3rd time in 28 hours. #Anyone4Starlink?
-
Chris Walker (@chris87uk) reported from Wootton, England@virginmedia internet connection has been so shoddy last 24 hours! Customer service says nothing wrong , amount of resets and hearing Alexa and google home saying no connection suggest otherwise

Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England@virginmedia The outcome of the call was what I wanted. I mean your pour service telling people to sit online for 4 hours waiting for someone to talk to me rather than call your call centres. If I'd called up straight away I'd not have needed to tweet you. You didn't even tweet back quickly.
-
Matt Lucas (@MattLucasTweets) reported from Bedford, EnglandHey @virginmedia, can you please let me know what your formal complaints procedure is? Just experienced an absolutely horrific customer service call

Garry Solomon Photography (@gsolomonphoto) reported from Rushden, England@virginmedia My broadband fluctuates, but even when I’m getting above 200mbps WiFi , my Ethernet to the back of the house is 5-10mbps. I’ve done all your tests, but read lots of comments that this is due to the virgin hub. Can you find a solution so I can work from home please!

Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Jeremy Burrows (@JezDons) reported@Gatty63 @SkySportsRL @SkySports Sky pay £21.5m per year which is peanuts, down from £40m in 2021. Why RL is on its arse. In contrast Sky pay £1.3 billion for Premier League & £179m for EFL. I’m on Virgin Media so can watch on the red button but the casual viewer would never know #RugbyLeague
-

Startup Heist (@startupheist) reportedLook up Scammer Payback on YouTube. This guy has 8.6 million subscribers. Over a billion views. His whole thing is picking up scam calls and keeping scammers talking for as long as humanly possible. Sometimes 40 minutes. All of it recorded, edited, posted. Content gold. Kitboga does the same thing. 3.6 million subs. Makes about $450K a year wasting scammers' time. These legends built an entire content genre out of revenge customer service. And they're both doing it manually in 2026. See the pattern? Smell the opportunity? Not yet? Okay: Virgin Media actually built an AI granny called Daisy in 2024. She answered scam calls, confused the hell out of scammers, kept them on the line for 40-50 minutes. 1,800 pieces of media coverage. After paying £20K to robo-granny and winning some big deal marketing award, they pat themselves on the back and just sayonara everybody. See it now? 52.5 billion robocalls hit Americans last year. 71% of people say they want a way to get back at scammers. The creators already proved the audience. The AI already proved it works. The product that puts them together — an app where an AI persona answers your suspicious calls, wastes their time, and turns the transcript into a clip you can post — is sitting right there. Jolly Roger Telephone Company already does a basic version. $1.2 million a year at $24 per subscriber. Running on ChatGPT. That's with zero creator tools and zero viral mechanics. Add auto-clipping, captions, one-click export to Shorts and Reels, and every scam call becomes a piece of content. The consumer app gets people in. The creator layer is where it prints. Use our playbook, or not, seriously someone build this already.

Simon Brennan (@Simon909) reported@virginmedia Another weekend and another broadband outage in Fareham, do believe this is the fourth in succession in my area. Please sort it out as it’s becoming too predictable. Funny thing is you want me to renew my package at £80.00 per mth, not worth it and looking elsewhere

Jessica Simpson 😺🐶🐾 (@Jess_Simpson645) reported@virginmedia just trying to cancel an engineer appointment by phone. The amount of questions I am being asked to verify it’s me is absolutely ridiculous. They are wanting information that I will have to look up on my computer which is not to hand, so unfortunately they will have to turn up at my house and I will have to tell them they are not needed and I will tell them why.
