  • SamRSparrow

@virginmedia Why would my page have no update since 1pm? I’m only getting updates via community Facebook page and my parents. My postcode is CT10 2SW. I would also like to know why my engineer visit was cancelled and how I make a complaint.

  • CaryAWright
Cary Wright (@CaryAWright) reported from Margate, England

@Dan13lBurk3 @virginmedia My neighbour has spoken to Customer Service too, who have informed him that it will not be fixed until the 28th!!!

  • andeenic

Three formal complaints to @virginmedia and three promises of a returned call within 24 hours. 3 fails out of 3. At least your appalling service is consistent

  • SamRSparrow
Sam Sparrow (@SamRSparrow) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia Already done it and there is an outage in the area and now saying won’t be updated until 9.30pm? How am I supposed to work?

  • SamRSparrow
Sam Sparrow 🇪🇺 (@SamRSparrow) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia I am extremely unhappy broadband been down since 1.15pm. Booked an engineer. This has been cancelled with no explanation. Can’t book another. Service status says it’s fine but many others online in CT10 says there is an area issue. First person on phone hung up.

  • grant_saffery
Grant Saffery (@grant_saffery) reported from Margate, England

1st day with @virginmedia & **** all is working. Waited all day for an “engineer” to come & make an abysmal attempt at installation before telling me everything was working & then ******* off rather sharpish. Spent the rest of evening on phone trying to sort. Appalling service

  • CaryAWright
Cary Wright (@CaryAWright) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia not had internet, for 24 hours. I spoke to customer services at 18:00 who “guaranteed it would be fixed by 21:25” I checked this 3 times as, at that point, I could arrange alternatives to finish work for Xmas. Now I can’t and still have no internet. Appalling!

  • CaryAWright
Cary Wright (@CaryAWright) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia @Dan13lBurk3 I spoke to your customer service team who “guaranteed this fault would rectified by 21:25”. I explained the gravity as I needed to finish work for Xmas. They lied!! I’ve now got to drive to London and work through the night! Appalling!

  • bobmitchell82
bob mitchell (@bobmitchell82) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia I checked on the app and it says my account has finished . I’m not going to waste more of my time being left on hold when I have requested someone phone me back and been told 24-48 hours and still nothing. If only the customer service were as helpful as your Twitter team

  • LoadedStudios
LOADED (@LoadedStudios) reported from Margate, England

Hi @virginmedia me again. How come I get a bill sent to my email address which is not linked to my account? I login in and it's someone elses account!

  • revdmesmith
Michael Smith (@revdmesmith) reported from Kingsdown, England

****** @bt_uk been at my parents for past couple of days. Had to reset router every day at least twice. Broadband goes down regularly. Thank goodness we have @virginmedia at home!

  • jimmygreen83
James Green (@jimmygreen83) reported from Margate, England

Hi @virginmedia my internet has gone down in my house, it has been like it for about 2 hours now. I have the hub3, baselight is staying green, wifi light is staying green and the internet arrows are flashing green. Help please. Have turned off and on, didn't work.

  • CaryAWright
Cary Wright (@CaryAWright) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia @Dan13lBurk3 I spoke to tour customer service team who “guaranteed this fault would rectified by 21:25”. I explained the gravity as I needed to finish work for Xmas. They lied!!

  • SamRSparrow
Sam Sparrow (@SamRSparrow) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia I would suggest then that the service status should be updated to reflect that situation.

  • jimmygreen83
James Green (@jimmygreen83) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia Hello, thank you for your quick reply. If i search via postcode it states there is a broadband issue but if i use my app it just states a tv issue. Have try rebooting twice and issue has stayed.

  • heavenndhell666
Heaven And Hell (@heavenndhell666) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia Seems every night I lose my tv, on my router I have a flashing red telephone. Sick of paying for tv and not having it, not even got an aerial so when your service goes off I’m left with nothing

  • dknowlton1
Dan Knowlton (@dknowlton1) reported from Acol, England

😂 Twitter Automation gone wrong... Take a look at this @virginmedia thread for a great example of Twitter automation gone wrong. 🤖 Automation < Customer service 😀

  • heavenndhell666
Heaven And Hell (@heavenndhell666) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia Up to your services you make sure they are unemployed so available when your company makes errors. Needless to say the day my contract ends I leave

@itsuu___ yeah its a DNS or routing issue on virgin media's end. because the VPN connection is working all traffic is routed through that on the virgin media side. so to them they are connecting you to vpn, then it's the vpn that's connecting you to twitter.

  • mitchhirsty
    Mitch Hirsty (@mitchhirsty) reported

@Frugal_ways @O2 @virginmedia Frustrating isn’t it? Now imagine that’s the only way you can actually pay the bill and O2 force you onto a promise to pay to restore service, tell you that you must pay, and it’s still not fixed! (Long story. Disabled, only method I can use is via the app or website) thanks O2🙄

  • brattandeaf
    Jeff Brattan-Wilson (@brattandeaf) reported

@Si_Vargeson @virginmedia We also are having issues with them. We are new customers and I can confirm that we regretted already and we haven’t even moved properly yet and unlikely it won’t be solved until mid Aug! Thinking about moving to Virgin Media? DONT DO IT!

  • Edeaulx
    Adrian Weale (@Edeaulx) reported

It's becoming increasingly clear that @VirginMedia customer service is based on the premise that if you make it excruciatingly difficult to make a complaint and then follow it up, people will simply not bother.

  • mikey_mol
    Mikey Molfessis (@mikey_mol) reported

@virginmedia You close a call and open a new one without resolution. That’s how you avoid @Ofcom ratings

  • je_durrant
    James Durrant (@je_durrant) reported

@coveragechecker @virginmedia Was initially a local outage but turned into someone had unplugged my cable at the exchange and it needed replacing. Sh*t happens, I get it, but to leave someone who pays £1500 a year for a service without anything for a month is plain bad

  • Phoenixrahman
    Phoenix Rahman (@Phoenixrahman) reported

@virginmedia @RA0307J No companies know how to treat loyal customers anymore. Was with VM for over 20+ years. They acknowledged that but they did not try to keep us. Glad I moved away from them. Companies are all about greed now

  • DymDymok
    Dmitriy Lobov (@DymDymok) reported

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt 18 years? Man, has it never occured to you to check what alternative were?

  • Edeaulx
    Adrian Weale (@Edeaulx) reported

I would contact you directly @virginmedia but your 'My Virgin Media' website won't allow me to sign in. I assume that this kind of obstructiveness is what got you fined so lavishly by @Ofcom

  • AlanRob68902430
    Alan Roberts (@AlanRob68902430) reported

@virginmedia Anyone reading this I'm now being threatened with charges for not returning there router, anyone else get conned into an @O2 contract sim by virgin media fancy starting a class action via the ombudsman @O2 I've never made a single call or text yet you have debited my bank for the last 2 years
