𝙲𝚊𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚊𝚡𝚎𝚛 (@catallaxer) reported@omotforest @bt_uk @openreach Fully accept your point. However, you are missing out. 1 gigabit+ speeds really are worth it. 2.5 gigabit is next. You will never get that over copper or satellite. Copper is being phased out.
-

-
Graeme Davis (@GraemeDavis) reportedi’m trying and failing to report a broadband problem to @bt_uk - online is an endless loop to linecheck (fault found), chat message won’t open, phone sends to txt not a person, txt is a very long wait on a charged-for line. How does anyone ever contact BT?
-

Trevor Chenery (@Krisp06) reported@countrymousie @btbusinesscare I wouldn't have thought so. You can keep your landline but you would need to move it -eventually - to a 'digital supplier' when the line service finally ends. However, I checked with Dr Google & his Elves & they made the following points which sound like very good news. "Starlink does not directly provide a traditional copper landline service, but it can fully replace one as part of the UK PSTN switch-off by supporting Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. You can keep your existing phone number and handset by using a VoIP adapter connected to the Starlink router, suitable for replacing old copper lines. How it Works: Starlink provides high-speed internet, allowing you to use third-party VoIP providers (e.g., Plexatalk, Premitel) to make calls via your internet connection. Requirements: You will need a VoIP Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) to plug your existing telephone handset into the Starlink Wi-Fi router. Suitability: VoIP over Starlink is ideal for rural areas where copper is being removed, offering sufficient speed and reliability.Alternatives: If you do not wish to use VoIP, you may look at mobile phone-based solutions, which are also often used when replacing old copper lines. As the UK moves towards a digital-only network by 2027, switching to a VoIP service via a broadband connection like Starlink is a common solution." You need to find & check it al lout with a good IT man to help you through the key steps & stages. You may also need to invest in new telephone hand sets around your house to replace your old BT ones. You won't need wires to connect them, it all works digitally through the air.

jack250213 (@e4290936) reported@bt_uk calling itself 'customer centric ' grates with me after an internal transfer of my broadband went horribly wrong, then four hard searches on my creditworthiness and three attempts to get BT broadband and a TV package also successfully completed by phone after a time on the phone that I regret all fell through with no explanation or apology. Customer centric? You are having a laugh BT!

Glo 🏴 🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧 (@Glo_Thienel) reported@bt_uk Hi. I have done that, cleared. Called the number which button to press, as it's all about products, not help with online account?

Vae Vix 🇫🇷 🇦🇺 🇨🇭 🇬🇧 (@VaeVix) reported@grok @bt_uk For ease of use, especially for a low risk case like that, I mean at worst hackers can pay my invoice (cool) or change my plan (less cool but of no interest to them and easily remedied), something like Google validator could be an alternative.
