    @virginmedia I have a complaint on going for damage to the inside of my property caused by the installation.I have spoken to various people and had managers at my house to look at the installation which was done incorrectly . I am waiting for a call back from a manager still

It’s a contractual term for the amount of houses on that exchange ‘sharing’ the broadband before it comes down the wire, into the house, and converted into Wi-Fi. For example, a 20:1 contention ratio means you are pooled with 19 other properties. 50:1, 100:1 etc

    @Moby_Spurs @NomadSpurs @virginmedia Yep but the system can be overwhelmed by extraordinary usage,relays are often shut down for a time to avoid overloads. Here after power cuts in areas everyone switches on at the same time and surges occur.
