  • tuite_liz Liz Tuite (@tuite_liz) reported from Atherton, England

@virginmedia I first informed Virgin Media that my internet was down via online chat on Friday afternoon. Will this have automatically been the time when my loss of service was registered as at the time the advisor said it would be fixed in 24 hours?

  • JoshuaBurns Josh B (@JoshuaBurns) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia Yes, tried last night and your service status page was actually down. Today I checked and it showed no issues, I run the diagnostic and no issues either. Came back up late this afternoon.

  • gamepopper Gamepopper (@gamepopper) reported from Salford, England

@virginmedia Oh, my bad. Apparently the wiring outside my house has a fault, someone did come last Monday to work on it,and someone was supposed to work on it for Thursday, but it keeps being pushed back (order ref 55230469).

  • roslers_vest Scott Moseley (@roslers_vest) reported from Rochdale, England

@virginmedia well the woeful service in Heywood continues after “fixing” the fault this morning which resulted in me being unable to work from home the network has dropped again this evening absolutely shocking service

  • Lerounxi Reece Jordan Doonan, RN (@Lerounxi) reported from Salford, England

@virginmedia can you confirm if there’s active engineer trying to rectify the service outage Manchester (M30). Widespread issues reported according to your service outage on website ?

  • tuite_liz Liz Tuite (@tuite_liz) reported from Atherton, England

@virginmedia 2/2 who can I speak to as it was working fine on Friday until the issues that were nothing to do with me happened, so don’t see why I should now pay for a technician

  • StevomacMUFC Stephen Mackenzie (@StevomacMUFC) reported from Ashton-under-Lyne, England

@virginmedia Hi, I’m trying to raise a complaint online but I’m not receiving any acknowledgment. Is there another way I can raise my complaint? Thanks

  • tuite_liz Liz Tuite (@tuite_liz) reported from Atherton, England

@virginmedia Can you check that I will be receiving a credit on my next bill as it has been down since Friday afternoon and I don’t think it will be fixed by 12pm today, I think that time will get changed again.

  • JoshuaBurns Josh B (@JoshuaBurns) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia I will. 2nd week in and these kind of issues is worrying considering my partner needs a connection to work from home. How long do I have to switch providers is it 30 days?

  • Miniboom2 Rach (legacy fan) (@Miniboom2) reported from Salford, England

Ah @virginmedia with this up and down service today you are really spoiling us!

  • roslers_vest Scott Moseley (@roslers_vest) reported from Rochdale, England

  • rachaelstafford Rachael Stafford (@rachaelstafford) reported from Salford, England

@virginmedia shocking service from you today, I booked an engineer visit for my mum supposed to come today between 12-4 nobody came she’s since called and been told it was a phone call not a visit but still nobody had called. She’s now got to wait till Tuesday for a visit 😠

  • SurrealPaulT Paul Terry (@SurrealPaulT) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia hi Virgin. We had an outage of broadband and TV services beginning 23rd Sept which lasted for 4 days. At the time we were told we would be compensated for this loss. As it hasn't come off our latest bill, how do we claim?

  • tuite_liz Liz Tuite (@tuite_liz) reported from Atherton, England

@virginmedia Could the problems in the area have caused damage to the equipment? As it was working fine before. Do I get compensation for all this time as the earliest appointment is Friday 14th?

  • roslers_vest Scott Moseley (@roslers_vest) reported from Rochdale, England

@virginmedia Yes currently showing resolution time of 0230 04/11 this is a really poor service it has been off for the majority of the day

  • roslers_vest Scott Moseley (@roslers_vest) reported from Rochdale, England

@virginmedia Submitting a complaint will probably result in an apology at best. Given I pay £1k per annum for an unreliable service it’s time to look for an alternative provider who can offer a more satisfactory customer experience

  • twiddlemeister Definitely not Elon Musk (@twiddlemeister) reported from Cheadle Hulme, England

Probably consider an unlimited tariff at some point to make up for when Virgin Media goes down.

  • tuite_liz Liz Tuite (@tuite_liz) reported from Atherton, England

@virginmedia I looked and that says it’s from the day I registered the total loss of service which was yesterday but really it should be from Friday afternoon when I did the online chat. If I DM you can you check?

@virginmedia Hi, I am out of contract since Feb this year for broadband although I still receive a fibre service. I am due to house shortly to an area that has Virgin as well. Is there a way I can get a new customer package when I move? Or will I have to get the same contract.
