@virginmedia Considering my router is a 1gbps it shouldn't be an issue. However even with wired it'll vary between 15mbps and 110mbps. However our average over a month is 53.6mbps, which is less than half the speed we pay for 😳.

@virginmedia absolute terrible customer service. Not only did it take 50 minutes to get through, they then cut me off so had to wait another 30 mins. 12 years of loyalty and all you could offer was £5 discount! Good bye Virgin, hello Sky 👋

@stewart_me @virginmedia I wouldn't bother if I were you. I got through after 90 mins to be told there systems were down till approx 5pm and to ring back then. Hope this helps.

After spending hours on hold (at least 4 today)and being cut off.i wonder if @virginmedia could explain to me how I cancel my contract with them?it honestly looks like writing a letter would be quicker..absolute joke

@virginmedia I have your smart hub 3, or as I like to call it the dumb dumb 3000. (It's struggles to broadcast a decent connection around a 2 bed flat, so it's been banished to modem mode. (Honestly, it's the worst router ive ever dealt with) 😳

@virginmedia Yeah, I've done all that (I'm a techy) it's why it's in modem mode and replaced with a capable router. The issue isnt the equipment it's the connection. Without the hub3 I can run upto 900Mbps download and 240mbps upload.

@virginmedia LS, I have and do regularly when ever it seems slow. It varies from 12mbps download to a maximum of 110mbps. However the monthly average is under 60mbps. Which falls well short of my guaranteed speed.

@virginmedia Yes after waiting almost an hour..... It turns out the price increase doesn't apply to me as was stated in the letter......it's an hour I will never get back! Maybe @virginmedia need to be more careful about who they are sending these letters out to.....

@virginmedia I was told that if I have 3 technical issues in 30 DAYS that I could leave without penalty. I currently have a 14 day cooling off period. I'll be checking the small print (App N I believe) VERY carefully.

@virginmedia It's been gradually going down each month for the last year. To clarify all the devices I've used for tests are wireless however that does not excuse week long drops in the Kb ranges

@virginmedia Sorry, this is an ongoing issue on our street, no point doing the tests now as its working. We are all experiencing this at random times. A few of us have tried doing this before and it just says its fine... We pay alot for the services and it is an ongoing issue.

@virginmedia We have another engineer booked this Friday as the last two couldn’t figure it out after checking cables and replacing the hub. Customer service has been awful, I feel like we’re going around in circles and complaints keep being closed with ‘an apology’.

@virginmedia I have called more than 15 times, they transfer to Technical to Customer Service to Sales and disconnect calls deliberately. Talking to UK, India, Indonesia, UK. Simple solution , replace ther Router Hub but they dont want to.
