  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia That doesn't tell me anything. Just that the engineers ".. are working hard to fix it....." The service has been down since 7 last night. And no idea when it will be fixed. With zero redress after 4 incidents in a little over a week. Poor.

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia Now showing estimated "fix" time of 16:00. 21 hours without "service". This. Is. Not. Funny.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia @JTCHANGINGBIZ Whilst they provide a marginally better speeds than competitors their customer service is just non existent, until you say you're leaving..

  • DougHall18 Doug Hall (@DougHall18) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia The worst possible service from your disgraceful company TV and broadband down 5 times over Christmas. No explanation, no apologies. Sod the fact that I can't wfh or watch prime time TV. Had enough, I'm leaving.

  • SidMooreManc Moore AccountancySid (@SidMooreManc) reported from Sale, England

@virginmedia My app says we are. However I can not click through to how we get service updates

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@johntweedie @frednfrank I've switched the router to Modem to get the signal to the 2nd floor loft. Allied to the self installed mesh network, that works well. The signal isn't now the issue. Being without services from @virginmedia 3 times in just over a week, is.

  • ButterscotchDe6 Butterscotch But Christmas ❄ 🏳️‍⚧️ (@ButterscotchDe6) reported from Salford, England

@virginmedia stop artificially dropping my bandwidth youre *************** at this point 1 Mbps up and 20 down is not ok

  • LordFoxx75 Si 🦊 🐝🐝 🇮🇪 🏳️‍🌈🇬🇧🇪🇺 (@LordFoxx75) reported from Manchester, England

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@johntweedie @frednfrank @virginmedia It may be 30 years old. Strangely, with BT (Cable), Sky (wired), never had issues.

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia ANOTHER outage in BL4 9LR area? Are you kidding me? That's the fourth in just over a week. And the second today!

  • shell634 Michelle Oldroyd (@shell634) reported from St Helens, England

@virginmedia problems in St Helens WA9 any chance you know when will be back up and running had an outage all day before Christmas too and now again no TV !!

  • ButterscotchDe6 Butterscotch But Christmas ❄ 🏳️‍⚧️ (@ButterscotchDe6) reported from Salford, England

@virginmedia It's been gradually going down each month for the last year. To clarify all the devices I've used for tests are wireless however that does not excuse week long drops in the Kb ranges

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Considering my router is a 1gbps it shouldn't be an issue. However even with wired it'll vary between 15mbps and 110mbps. However our average over a month is 53.6mbps, which is less than half the speed we pay for 😳.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia LS, I have and do regularly when ever it seems slow. It varies from 12mbps download to a maximum of 110mbps. However the monthly average is under 60mbps. Which falls well short of my guaranteed speed.

  • Cuttsrich rich cutts (@Cuttsrich) reported from Tyldesley, England

@virginmedia I've woken up to no Internet service at all, again

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Yeah, I've done all that (I'm a techy) it's why it's in modem mode and replaced with a capable router. The issue isnt the equipment it's the connection. Without the hub3 I can run upto 900Mbps download and 240mbps upload.

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia If does now. 12:00. That's 17 hours without service.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia I have your smart hub 3, or as I like to call it the dumb dumb 3000. (It's struggles to broadcast a decent connection around a 2 bed flat, so it's been banished to modem mode. (Honestly, it's the worst router ive ever dealt with) 😳

  • PIL0TPEDR0 Pete Best (Pil0t Pedr0)💙 (@PIL0TPEDR0) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia BL1 2NJ Still having problems with disconnecting and connecting, been like this for 4 hours. I have reset my router numerous times

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia You did. At about 6pm. Now it's down again. That's five times in a little over a week. Beyond irritation now. Are you - company - going for some record? Or just reminding me to take my blood pressure meds?

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • HaigL Miss LVH (@HaigL) reported

@virginmedia I was told over the phone last night that an engineer would need to come out but then received a text this morning to say it was resolved remotely and service seems to now be functioning.

  • 82ladyK Kirsty Richards (@82ladyK) reported

@virginmedia Any timescales?. They said by 3pm? It’s making WFH difficult and I need to be back online ASAP. If you could advise of the likely time for the fix that would help planning.

  • blanaba1985 Mark (@blanaba1985) reported

@virginmedia Really did confirm that you do not care about our custom and have taken a regular bill later for granted. To compound the issue, my mother in law has received yet another call to discuss her account. Proves that no one has listened.

  • surreykiwi Rachael (@surreykiwi) reported

@xlizagx @virginmedia Having the same issue. Have tried everything to resolve but must be an issue with network provider aka @virginmedia

  • pareshthakore Paresh Thakore (@pareshthakore) reported

@virginmedia After being a Virgin customer for over 20 years, today was shambolic, transferred 3 times, waiting 45 mins, only to get cut off 😡 Then asked me to serve 30 day notice for cancellation, even though we had Virgin installed at new home? @skytv didn’t do that. Fleece me all you can

  • Anett26047877 Anett (@Anett26047877) reported

@VMO2News @virginmedia You don't care about customers! Spent nearly 2h on the phone to quit contract after 15 years with virginmedia Agents just held me on telephone line 20 minutes and after put the phone down!! It was 3 times like this.

  • TEDDYBEAR2079 TED 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧 (@TEDDYBEAR2079) reported from Motherwell, Scotland

@virginmedia @virginhelp I am recieving one of your customers contact details, phone no... contract detail... billing info to my email address... the customer has the same name as myself... tried to contact Virging but to no avail...

  • xcalibrate Dog bites man (@xcalibrate) reported

@virginmedia Except that you need to receive the email to reset the password. The address hasn’t been used for 10 years. Wouldn’t it be simpler just to cancel Virginmedia, since this is so difficult?

  • skullemoji666 rob ☠️ (@skullemoji666) reported

@virginmedia I called up yesterday & they said there is nothing you guys can do bc it shows up as no errors on your side. Our internet drops out every single day. We’ve already had an engineer come out and the issue is not sorted. Think we need a new router but apparently we can’t have one…

  • LlianaBird Lliana Bird (@LlianaBird) reported

@virginmedia i was told this wasn’t possible and the only way to do so would be to cancel so i did so
