  • DagsJT Darren Thomas (@DagsJT) reported from Warrington, England

@virginmedia So it looks like the router resetting was the start of a bigger issue. Router appears to be having issues again. Your diag service thinks the router is switched off but it certainly isn’t.

  • lorraineayrton Lorraine Ayrton (@lorraineayrton) reported from Bolton, England

Dear @virginmedia I don’t want an automated response, I want a solution. I have had intermittent internet access for 4 WEEKS and have had ENOUGH. I want to speak to a human being, can I have a number to complain to please #crapservice

  • lorraineayrton Lorraine Ayrton (@lorraineayrton) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia I have tried EVERYTHING to speak to a human however the automated rubbish doesn’t let me get there. It just tells me there is a problem that you are trying to fix. Clearly I am aware there is a problem and has been for sometime I have done all usual diagnostics my end

  • DagsJT Darren Thomas (@DagsJT) reported from Warrington, England

@virginmedia So service resumed around 3pm with an email confirming it. In the last 5/10 mins the wireless connection keeps disappearing off. It’ll return for a second or two, then drop again. Unsurprisingly your status checker says there isn’t an issue despite there clearly being one.

  • wlasinclair Wendy Sinclair RN (@wlasinclair) reported from Hindley, England

@virginmedia Yes I’ve tried a few times but I keep getting cut off when they don’t know how to deal with the query. I’ll keep trying and maybe someone will be able help!! Thank you 🙏

  • DagsJT Darren Thomas (@DagsJT) reported from Warrington, England

Pretty ironic when the @virginmedia Service Status page doesn’t work.

  • lorraineayrton Lorraine Ayrton (@lorraineayrton) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia Estimated fix time, it’s been going on for 4+ weeks and yes that is the number I am calling. It reset everything and did tests and currently running HOWEVER the next drop will be 5pmish as per the norm. It last went off at 14:53. I need a human being & cant speak to one

  • shaunbentley Shaun (@shaunbentley) reported from Atherton, England

@virginmedia Still on the phone. Just found out the eng that was supposed to come today to fixed the frayed cables outside was a no show. Also all my smart lights have stopped working meaning the local network (not broadband) has gone down. Finally you’ve agreed to issue a deadlock letter.

  • Lara__1302 LaraB (@Lara__1302) reported from Abram, England

@virginmedia It’s for mine and my daughters mobile. Been going on now for 2 days. Can’t make or receive calls. Been into Virgin store today and they gave me a new sim. But couldn’t help with checking to see if there were issues in my area.

  • Tinkerbellkimmy KimSmith⛳🧘‍♀️ (@Tinkerbellkimmy) reported from Risley, England

@virginmedia came home to a letter today stating your increasing my bill 3.00 per month from September! What's happened to loyal customer discounts utter joke! #Nothappycustomer

  • Gfunk_in3D Gfunk_in3D (@Gfunk_in3D) reported from Runcorn, England

@virginmedia I really don’t know how you can morally charge for the pitiful service you provide. You have the most consistently unreliable download speeds I have ever come across.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • lunar0003 Grumpy auld wumin (@lunar0003) reported

Virgin media appear to have cut my landline but are still taking money. Thé phone App refused to let me in and their phone number tells me there are no issues? Here’s one VM, I’m cancelling my DD and moving to Bank of SCOTLAND.

  • joshuajaharwood Joshua Harwood (@joshuajaharwood) reported

@virginmedia Do you have plans to finish your rollout on Camden Rd, CT10 3DS? Only half the road has had your service for about a year now.

  • Gem52964654 Gem (@Gem52964654) reported

@MartinSLewis Help!! @virginmedia offered me a price in writing 3 times and are now unwilling to do what was agreed due to their staff errors and are charging me more for my package. The managers won't help. Please help!!

  • DrSidBakshi Sid (@DrSidBakshi) reported

@virginmedia There was a complete outage of broadband and phone service today morning around 9:45. Got restored approximately 5 hours later. So I wanted to register for loss of service, but really doesn’t seem straightforward. I really don’t know if I was able to do it!

  • frobiu5 The Cyber Sausage (@frobiu5) reported

@virginmedia Having spoken to someone who dubiously said that they were senior technical support, apparently reversion to EE is not possible. I guess it’s time to cancel.

  • michaellondonsf Michael Edwards (@michaellondonsf) reported

@virginmedia Your charming phone person simply said that your engineers are working on it. It must be a known local problem as your phone system initially tried to get me to ring off with the news that they were aware of trouble in N4.

  • xKyberz Kaine 🌋 (@xKyberz) reported

.@virginmedia your internet service is dog ****. I want a refund on all these months i’ve used your service

I know you sent letters round the BD13 area telling us to expect issues with our broadband today as you're doing upgrades @virginmedia but it's been off for hours now and doesn't look like it's back until six tonight. The kids are home from school and have no clue what to do!!

  • AeitZean AeitZean (@AeitZean) reported

@virginmedia Yup. Wired and wireless devices, and the hub ip is unreachable even from wired devices. It then seems to go through a reboot cycle. I tried unplugging our homeplug network in case something of ours was causing it, but it crashed again at least twice since then
