Mrs Smith (@SmithysMaud) reported from St Helens, England@virginmedia No, they just left. Rang your customer service they are now telling me the problem is internal. I’ve had no internet since July, no tv since August. It’s beyond a joke now. 5 visits I’ve had.
-
Gareth Hughes GBC TV (@GarethWHughes) reported from Roby, EnglandHas virgin media gone down? #virginmedia @virginmedia
-
Mrs Smith (@SmithysMaud) reported from St Helens, England@virginmedia Yes, this has been going on now for months. Was just on to your team to cancel, they hung up on me. I’ve never known a more woeful service. They are quick enough to take payment every month for a service I’m not getting.
-
Mrs Smith (@SmithysMaud) reported from St Helens, England@jenwahkiddles @virginmedia Pity they didn’t do it for us, had no tv or broadband for over 3 months and can’t even get the compensation they owe us, plus the direct debits they took knowing we had total loss of service. Shambolic company.
-
Anne McCormack (@1AnneMcCormack) reported from Billinge Chapel End, England@DoctorLemma Well done . Always had great service from @virginmedia just cant afford them anymore.
-
Liz Tuite (@tuite_liz) reported from Atherton, England@virginmedia Can you check that I will be receiving a credit on my next bill as it has been down since Friday afternoon and I don’t think it will be fixed by 12pm today, I think that time will get changed again.
-
Anne McCormack (@1AnneMcCormack) reported from Billinge Chapel End, England@virginmedia I tell them to ring 999 or 0151 709 6010 if they want to report a crime. They hang up but they sound South Asian and their English is poor. I worry about other oaps being conned. Good luck chasing them.
-
Mrs Smith (@SmithysMaud) reported from St Helens, England@virginmedia are an absolute joke. Was told to call back at half 6 and guess what? They’re shut! And again, no engineer visit. Getting cancelled 1st thing in the morning. Over a month of total loss of service, piss take. #avoid
-
Emma (@EmmaZhaan64) reported from Roby, England@virginmedia according to your representative my wifi is working perfectly and I don’t have any issues! That’s a bit odd considering I no service what so ever!
-
Graeme Radebe (@Radebreast) reported from Ormskirk, England@virginmedia Hi - Ive noticed alot of people are having the same issues. Its the Sky TV Go app on Playstation 4. Ive checked it on another internet and it works fine so it is definitely an error on your side. You need to sort the internet settings. It struggles to load “on Now” on the app.
-
Colette Ellison (@colette2511) reported from Warrington, England@richardbranson you really need to sort your @virginmedia company out. There nothing but robbing bastards, everything about the company is bad. 😡
-
Alan Dean (@alandean1878) reported from Roby, England@virginmedia Everything struggles to stay connected to the Internet. Mobiles, laptops, the TV's. I'm not sure if the speed is an issue as I haven't checked it. (I'm not sure how to.)
-
🥔 A bean has no name 🥔 (@ylilxanoi) reported from Wigan, England@virginmedia Internet is down in our area since Monday. I keep getting multiple emails saying it'll be fixed by 12pm tomorrow, then 4pm Wednesday 12pm Thursday, 12pm Friday and now 4pm Friday. None of your call centre staff can help us we've spent hours on hold this week.
-
CryptoDan2k (@CryptoDan2k) reported from Roby, England@virginmedia I'm guessing they don't work Saturday Sunday, so that will take us from Thursday to some point Monday for a resolution? Would it be quick if I phone up, send me a case ref number or something?
-
UtilitaRian 🔶 (@SoloUtilitaRian) reported from Bolton, EnglandWith the intro of new dedicated Gigabit lines in my street I can't wait to switch over and leave Virgin Media for good. 3x internet has gone down this week and I just called VM. The systems there are down and gotta call back in 3hrs..... useless
-
Laser Lux, Wigan. (@TheWiganParky) reported from Haydock, England@virginmedia If my bill went down with my speed, I wouldn't mind.
-

Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Ibam (@imzyii) reported@virginmedia Why should I DM so people cant see , sort your telephone options out make it easy press 1 for customer service bang straight in a queue and 2 for tv 3 for broadband but no you've made it so dam difficult
-
Andy (@andyosb) reported@Ofcom @virginmedia did exactly the same thing to me back in 2019! It was - and still is - the worst customer service experience of my life (and I'm now 65). It was just so glad to escape them eventually. They're utter scum. Do yourself a favour & don't go anywhere near this company.
-
101FXK101 (@EricBlair820643) reported@kcpollock They do the very same thing in Ireland. Except the music makes you irate. They expect you to silently acquiesce to their recording. So when I have to call them, I record them but do not tell them I’m recording the call. You can be left waiting for 1 hour. They will then raise the phones hand piece from the cradle and you have to go thru’ the entire press 1 if you’d like us to speak in your left ear, press 2 if you’d like us to speak in your right ear, press three if you’d like us to speak softly, press 4 if you’d like us to speak in both ears. They are always busy, even in little tiny Ireland. I cancelled Virgin media because the hung up on me three times. I told them that this is the very last time you’ll ever hang up on me. And I cancelled my subscription.
-
Liam (@kestrel89B) reported@itvnews To be honest it is so difficult to speak to a human at @virginmedia I'm not surprised anyone could cancel their contracts. #virginmedia
-
Chris Hannon (@ChrisHa42768937) reported@virginmedia I'll never use your company again...
-
Tommy Jones (@TommyJonesUK) reported@TheGriftReport Virgin Media fined £28m for trapping customers like hostages who can’t cancel. Their service is slower than rigor mortis, but leaving? Harder than faking your own death to escape.
-
entrustTMF (@entrustTMF) reported@aidan_codtello @virginmedia Good luck! When the service works at @virginmedia it's great-but when there's a problem you're pretty much on your own with a fanciful bunch of stories until you can finally get an engineer to pitch up. I always think that how they handle a problem is the measure of a company...
-
Barry Stevens (@BarryStevens75) reported@virginmedia @virginmedia message sent midday today and no response not the best customer care
-
Victor (@winningearly) reportedVirgin Media O2 has acknowledged that its customer service fell below expected standards during the period investigated. The company says it has since made significant improvements to its cancellation processes, customer service operations and staff training.
-
LaurenA (@LRNA11) reported@MartinSLewis Another major issue with Virgin Media (and possibly other similar providers) is that they don’t provide customers an option for “No Roll-on” at the end of the contract. Their reminders are puny and twice I got caught with paying almost double monthly rates after contract. 1/
