  • shaunyg1985 Shaun Glover (@shaunyg1985) reported from Warrington, England

@virginmedia @O2 Poor timing this announcement seeing as my broadband seems to be down! Northwest England..

  • trishy_wishy88 Tricia Gill (@trishy_wishy88) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia I’ve had an issue with my phone since February this year…I’ve sent it to you twice for repair and followed the online troubleshooting more times than I can remember but I’m still facing the same issue.

  • originalkitten 🌸🐾originalkitten 🐾🌸 (@originalkitten) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia I’ve just rung up agai every single time I tell my problem, they tell mr they will put me through to the right team. The right team answers & immediately hangs up. Just done the text thing and someone called me. I say hello & they hang up. I’m getting sick of it.

  • LesleyH80821454 Lesley Hughes (@LesleyH80821454) reported from Seaforth, England

@virginmedia didn’t resolve it. The error codes seem like delaying tactics as each time it would tell us it was something else that was the problem. Even when we did get to watch some of the episode it was stuttering at regular intervals. The same also applies to the two

  • LesleyH80821454 Lesley Hughes (@LesleyH80821454) reported from Seaforth, England

@virginmedia Thanks for your response. We tried on numerous occasions to get it back last night and on the occasions it did kick in it would stall again part way through so we would have to start the process all over again. We closed down the TiVo box to reboot but this

  • tvarsanyi Toby Varsanyi (@tvarsanyi) reported from Bryn, England

@virginmedia after 15 years loyal custom I decide to cancel my contract because I am moving home and you charge me £50 in cancellation charges. Classy. I won’t be using you again.

  • originalkitten 🌸🐾originalkitten 🐾🌸 (@originalkitten) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia I’ll pass. Virgin can write to me then if they want me. I’m not sitting on a phone for an hour, being passed from pillar to post, not being able to hear cause of awful connection and background noise. Having to repeat myself over and over is not how I wish to spend my day.

  • lyndseym123 Lyndsey Moss (@lyndseym123) reported from Halewood, England

@virginmedia Internet issues all morning. Service status checker says no issues in the area & the automated number said to keep an eye on it for 24 hours after finding an intermittent issue. This is unacceptable. We pay a lot for your service and need the Internet for work

  • Stixx1979 Whittle (@Stixx1979) reported from Birkenhead, England

@wilkinsonpete @virginmedia Its appalling mate. Its flagged up daily on here. In a couple of days. You will be contacted on here asking is there any way they can help. Joke of a company.

  • tonydavo22 TonyD (@tonydavo22) reported from Liverpool, England

@virginmedia absoulute joke.. c Worst customer service

  • LesleyH80821454 Lesley Hughes (@LesleyH80821454) reported from Seaforth, England

@virginmedia movies we recently purchased. It’s important to note that we don’t have any WiFi connection issues with Netflix etc.

  • leannef55 leanne (@leannef55) reported from Aintree Village, England

Virgin Media and Sky viewers. Is yours the noisiest, most horrible sounding thing when your remote falls off the settee and hits a wooden floor? Virgin remote holder here- massive yes from me! 😖

  • Swell09 Swell ✌🏻 (Pronoun: She/Her) (@Swell09) reported from Seaforth, England

WFH really would be so much easier if @virginmedia internet didn’t just bomb out!! Literally so fed up with the poor service, and issues never being resolved, even complained and never received a phone call although they told us they phoned 😡😡

  • LesleyH80821454 Lesley Hughes (@LesleyH80821454) reported from Seaforth, England

@virginmedia any more movies/box sets from you as we don’t have the latest TiVo box to support them OR we transfer WiFi suppliers from EE to Virgin!! The word ‘blackmail’ springs to mind!! In the meantime the engineer is going to return with a replacement like for like TiVo box -

  • philroue10 Ya Ma's Athletic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (@philroue10) reported from St Helens, England

@O2 network is shocking now u have merged the @virginmedia anyone else havin the same issues can connect calls , internet slow as Car with 1 wheel if any at all. Utter shite

  • LesleyH80821454 Lesley Hughes (@LesleyH80821454) reported from Seaforth, England

@virginmedia Hi - after holding for 25+ mins I spoke with an individual who arranged for an engineer to call the next day which was excellent. Unfortunately it transpired that we were not eligible for a new upgraded box because you did not support our WiFi which means we either don’t purchase

  • steveeades Steve Eades (@steveeades) reported from Runcorn, England

@virginmedia checked this and currently it says no issues, there clearly is a issue as this is not an isolated incident and is affecting others closeby. Unless you can actually do anything that may solve or attempt to solve the issue dont bother replying because your just giving me lip service

  • Paulwhittle8 Whittle (@Paulwhittle8) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia I've tried many times. You're customer service is appalling. Nothing ever improves. So no there isn't anything you can help with AR.

  • steveeades Steve Eades (@steveeades) reported from Runcorn, England

@virginmedia Previous appointment had to be cancelled due to work commitments. Unsure what they would have done at the property anyway when it looks like an issue with the service to my property and others. Can’t you check Wa74rf postcode service supply?

  • DumboFi DUMBO (@DumboFi) reported from Golborne, England

@virginmedia any chance of a new remote your website is broke and your call centres hang up very rude

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • waveyx1970 Dave (@waveyx1970) reported

@virginmedia yet again my 350Mbps broadband is operating between 20 and 56Mbps. This is causing issues for my daughter’s on line A level lessons now. Virgin this is a joke and no one seems to care!

  • Ayresie_ Ayresie (@Ayresie_) reported

@iambaddiee @virginmedia used a different cable, Im not gonna try fix anything now though, just gonna wait until virgin media see it so I can show proof that its actually **** lmao

  • Ebb1 Eb (@Ebb1) reported

@Jcobleuk @virginmedia Time to vote for Virgin Media customer service. Retweet for a fair representation.

  • tiaralove_uk Jill (@tiaralove_uk) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Been trying to cancel account for weeks, moving house very soon. Do I disconnect equipment when I leave and cancel DD! Appalling customer service, will now not be using Virgin at new house.

  • villa_sol21 James (@villa_sol21) reported

@officialrobert0 @virginmedia Never had this happen to me and my bill is going up again. They also make it hard to find a deal on the website when you already have an account. I'm surprised @Ofcom haven't cracked down on this kind of thing yet

  • Leeds_Demon E K D (@Leeds_Demon) reported

@Keir_Starmer @SteveTheQuip Maybe tech & internet companies can help out a bit more. The Govt, can't force businesses, such as @virginmedia to provide free internet access, although a fair few have reduced prices.

  • ScanlanWithAnA Michael S (@ScanlanWithAnA) reported

Despite cancelling with @virginmedia two weeks ago, we keep getting phonecalls offering to knock the price down. Top tips, lads, if you'd made that offer first time around, we wouldn't have cancelled. Don't make customers jump through hoops.

  • jackodwyer7 Jack O'Dwyer (@jackodwyer7) reported

@AntoCondon That’s it yeah, would much rather be forking out a bit for virgin media broadband at least that works consistently. Eir is brutal and the customer service is non existent

  • iambaddiee 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀 𝙞𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙚 (@iambaddiee) reported

@Ayresie_ @virginmedia About time! I hope they fix it lad! Is it only your pc? Have you tried another new cable? Tried that test on your phone?

  • PiersJH Piers #StayHomeSaveLives (@PiersJH) reported

@Ofcom That doesn't apply to Virgin Media's network where I can receive usable speeds. I can't on OpenReach/BT networks. Perhaps time to look into opening up the cable market?
