  @CruisingTheCut I’ve had very few issues with virgin media - depends if you need TV though. Otherwise I’ve heard very good things about over the air using the three network or EE.

  @virginmedia I reported a total loss of service on 31/8. It was finally fixed this morning. After no shows, lies and weeks between visits. They have not even offered to cover the cost of my last 3 dd’s which I wish I hadn’t paid as I had no service whatsoever

  To @virginmedia- Many thanks to your Technician who came out today following the outage in my area. Although I was back online by this time he checked over all the equipment and settings, and also discovered that the router needed changing-which he did - very polite and efficient man.   @Pirat_Nation @virginmedia has been having issues all week. Can't turn on or off my smart light, can't download or play anything online. All I can do is play some old DVDs and Games on disk.

  @virginmedia It's tells me you'll be in touch within 48 hours, it's now over 72 hours and nothing. You didn't send me an email with my ticket details of the complaint, got back to the page to make a note 20mins later and the page had gone. Absolute shambles. Broken service & broken support!

  I’ve had it with @virginmedia No service since 10 Jul and it won’t be fixed until 17 Aug. They can’t give me a 5G modem despite being joined with O2 and say I should be happy with the £10 p/d Ofcom comp; that doesn’t help me do work. £800 to cancel my contract, it’s a racket

  @EE I was on a call for 42 minutes this morning and got nowhere. Nobody wants to take any responsibility and suggesting I didn’t order despite the fact SIMs have moved over to One plan and Virgin Media contacted me about leaving. Very poor service

  @virginmedia - But you can do this in the app. Download app. Login. Accept renewal offer. - Am told new contract has been sent to an email address I removed from my account ~1 year ago. - Return to "my Account" in app. Still says my account is due for renewal

  In 2003, Stan Beaton lost his wife, Ruby, to stomach cancer. Before she passed away, she had recorded the voicemail greeting for their home telephone. It was an ordinary message to anyone else, but to Stan it became the last recording of her voice. For more than a decade, he kept that voicemail safe. He even stayed with the same phone company because he feared changing providers might erase it. Whenever he missed Ruby, he would call his own home just to hear her say, "Sorry, at the moment, Stan and Ruby are not available..." For him, those few seconds were enough to bring her close again. Then, in December 2014, a network upgrade accidentally deleted the recording. Stan was heartbroken. He later said it felt like losing his wife all over again. Believing there was nothing left to lose, he contacted Virgin Media and asked if there was any way to recover it. What followed was something no one expected. Eleven telecommunications engineers spent three days searching through backup systems for a single deleted audio file. They described it as looking for a needle in a haystack, but they refused to give up. They found it. Instead of simply returning the recording, BBC Radio Leeds arranged a surprise during an interview with Stan. As Ruby's familiar voice filled the room once again, he broke down in tears. "That's her. Wonderful. Wonderful." The company later gave Stan permanent copies of the recording on a CD so he would never have to fear losing it again. It wasn't just a recovered voicemail. It was the return of the last words he could still hear from the woman he loved, a voice that had waited silently for years until someone cared enough to bring it back.

  Not long upgraded to 360. Is there a reason I need to login to @BBCiPlayer every single time I open it? I can't get into my @DisneyPlus account on one of the boxes. Not too happy with this 360 service atm. Could you help please @virginmedia
