Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Prescot, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Prescot and nearby locations:

  • alandean1878
Alan Dean (@alandean1878) reported from Roby, England

@virginmedia Everything struggles to stay connected to the Internet. Mobiles, laptops, the TV's. I'm not sure if the speed is an issue as I haven't checked it. (I'm not sure how to.)

  • lurkinhead
Martin Travis (@lurkinhead) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia There's no point raising a complaint is there, as you won't comprnsate? Other reputable oroviders offer a back-up 4 or 5g device to kick in if their main broadband goes down, to keep the service running. Not VM though - it's just all really poor customer service innit?

  • SmithysMaud
Mrs Smith (@SmithysMaud) reported from St Helens, England

@jenwahkiddles @virginmedia Pity they didn’t do it for us, had no tv or broadband for over 3 months and can’t even get the compensation they owe us, plus the direct debits they took knowing we had total loss of service. Shambolic company.

  • SmithysMaud
Mrs Smith (@SmithysMaud) reported from St Helens, England

@virginmedia It’s to our address, we need a full repull and was told it would be done within 48hrs. This issue has been going on for months, they were just telling me to reboot the hub.

  • Mick_McIver1984
Mick Mc 23 (@Mick_McIver1984) reported from Kirkby, England

Anyone else useless @virginmedia gone down got no internet house is in melt down

  • lurkinhead
Martin Travis (@lurkinhead) reported from Birkenhead, England

@les_murray71 @virginmedia Still saying 12.05 on the app Lesley .... have they put that new estimated fix time out elsewhere? 😱

  • SmithysMaud
Mrs Smith (@SmithysMaud) reported from St Helens, England

@virginmedia 3 x engineer visits, each time telling me there’s a blockage. Why does nobody fix it? I can’t even get through to cancel my services and get a refund for the direct debits I’ve paid when I’ve had zero service.

  • LindzDDub
Lindz Devine (@LindzDDub) reported from Wigan, England

@virginmedia @virginhelp I've never had this much issue as I have had today. I'm plugged in on ethernet, I've reset my hub, and checked my area and there is no issue at all. My WiFi is working from my hub but yet its booting me out of Destiny 2 and not just that but the chat parties on PS5 itself

  • cambo691
Cambo (@cambo691) reported from Birkenhead, England

@les_murray71 @virginmedia This and their woeful customer service is why we binned them off mate

  • jmcloughlin
Jamie McLoughlin (@jmcloughlin) reported from Liverpool, England

Anyone having @virginmedia issues in Liverpool area? Our TV has been showing static for the past half hour.

  • RayWaring
Ray Waring (@RayWaring) reported from Liverpool, England

@virginmedia Please contact me via this route - will be the quickest way to respond and resolve the issue

  • supergran22
Maureen StewartJones (@supergran22) reported from Eccleston, England

@virginmedia I'm not sure this is the 3rd box. It's the one with the router in same room. Re advice remotely got message saying problem could not be solved.

  • lurkinhead
Martin Travis (@lurkinhead) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia Okay, but with respect, the problem is your call centre say different stuff every time, which inevitably bears no resemblance to reality. Later, VM deny those conversations ever took place and there is no written evidence to back up what was agreed. That's what I am after here?

  • SmithysMaud
Mrs Smith (@SmithysMaud) reported from St Helens, England

@virginmedia can someone help me please? I’m about to lose my ****. Never ever known anything like this company. Now telling me lies on WhatsApp. Saying i logged an issue weeks after engineers had already been out to find the fault. Refusing compensation after 4 mths no service.

  • pstock62
Paul Stockton (@pstock62) reported from Horwich, England

    @virginmedia Internet down in BL6 5RN, any idea's

  • John_Kelly17
John Kelly (@John_Kelly17) reported from St Helens, England

@CruisingTheCut I’ve had very few issues with virgin media - depends if you need TV though. Otherwise I’ve heard very good things about over the air using the three network or EE.

  • JohnMurphy9172
murf (@JohnMurphy9172) reported from Liverpool, England

@virginmedia Just managed to get hold of someone, and apparently after over 10 years of no problems I now need WiFi boosters at an extra cost to myself all of a sudden, they couldn't tell me why just trying to squeeze more money out of me

  • andrewjmcgill
Andy McGill (@andrewjmcgill) reported from St Helens, England

@virginmedia I have been without broadband all day, a day after you sent me a letter about price increases, an increase for what, even poorer service!!!!

  • jgrailpics
James (@jgrailpics) reported from Liverpool, England

When will I be able to go just one single day without @virginmedia failing, cannot wait until next year when the contract is over, increase the bills but reduce the service to next to nothing?

attend later in order to connect the fibre optic cable. No engineer attended and today we have had to contact virgin media 3 times by telephone to find out what is happening.Despite being told earlier in the day the issue was being escalated and we would receive an update

  • WilliamWeirFun
    Dr. William Weir (@WilliamWeirFun) reported

@virginmedia I don’t need your reminder, know my bill is overdue. It’s not with the want of my me not trying to pay it mind. I’ve been trying to sign in to PAY the bill for days but due to your insane stupid link up with O2 I can’t.

  • oldpoyntz
    MrsM 💙 (@oldpoyntz) reported

@PeterBakerMcfc @virginmedia Internet is back now. No one touched anything and it goes off. Moving to Community Fibre once this contract is up. I can't keep having these issues & paying through the nose. At least we'll be able to rotate through the apps as and when needed.

  • garyb007
    Gary Broadbent (@garyb007) reported

@TezzaBelle88 @virginmedia Yep, pretty standard. By miles, the worst customer service I've ever experienced. What's more, nobody seems to want to improve it.

  • cleggy1966
    Simon (@cleggy1966) reported

@virginmedia I already have done and it is hopefully being sorted. All depends on whether the engineer turns up this afternoon or whether you decide to cancel the appointment again
