Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Prescot, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Prescot and nearby locations:

  • laineypb2109 Elaine Brown (@laineypb2109) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia sort your **** out. No service at all since half 8 last night. Wirral CH41 area

  • les_murray71 Lesley Murray (@les_murray71) reported from Wallasey, England

@virginmedia Thats just an update to say they are dealing with the issue, people want to know what the issue was and why it is taking so long to repair, there is a continuous extension to repair time and your customers at least deserve detailed information

  • lurkinhead Martin Travis (@lurkinhead) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia There's no point raising a complaint is there, as you won't comprnsate? Other reputable oroviders offer a back-up 4 or 5g device to kick in if their main broadband goes down, to keep the service running. Not VM though - it's just all really poor customer service innit?

  • andrewjmcgill Andy McGill (@andrewjmcgill) reported from St Helens, England

@virginmedia I have been without broadband all day, a day after you sent me a letter about price increases, an increase for what, even poorer service!!!!

  • TheWiganParky Laser Lux, Wigan. (@TheWiganParky) reported from Haydock, England

@virginmedia If my bill went down with my speed, I wouldn't mind.

  • TimmyJ1972 Tim Jackson (@TimmyJ1972) reported from Garston, England

@virginmedia I’d love to hear from how I’m supposed to report an issue with my broadband. You can’t do it via live chat and seemingly not via the phone either as you’re “experiencing difficulties”

  • les_murray71 Lesley Murray (@les_murray71) reported from Wallasey, England

@virginmedia Yes got the update thanks, but not helpful receiving texts to say issue resolved, services been off for 14 hours now, any background to the issue?

  • les_murray71 Lesley Murray (@les_murray71) reported from Wallasey, England

@virginmedia Yes got the update thanks but not helpful receiving a text to say issue resolved, service has been off for 14 hours now, any background to reason why? Its a massive area to be out with no explanation

  • lurkinhead Martin Travis (@lurkinhead) reported from Birkenhead, England

@BlaggerBly @virginmedia Seems to be Wirral wide at least, and I think Liverpool is affected too. VM should be massively compensating their affected customers for this, but they hide behind their terms and conditions where they only deem it reasonable to compensate if the outage last more than 3 days!

  • TimmyJ1972 Tim Jackson (@TimmyJ1972) reported from Garston, England

@virginmedia To be honest, the issue is an intermittent fault. My wife works from home and the broadband just drops out numerous times a day. Then comes back on. It’s only worthwhile doing a remote test if it’s when it drops out. Otherwise all will look fine

  • laineypb2109 Elaine Brown (@laineypb2109) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia 15% increase, don't think so mate. I'll be in touch via phone shortly with a cancellation notice. So much for long serving customer loyalty

  • les_murray71 Lesley Murray (@les_murray71) reported from Wallasey, England

@MarkKav15119614 @virginmedia Well my bills ain't getting paid today so will get charges, anything i try to do on apps / chrome not working, twitter on and off

  • TheWiganParky Laser Lux, Wigan. (@TheWiganParky) reported from Haydock, England

@virginmedia It says there's no issues at the moment, but I'm only getting 13mbps.

  • 111O1O1O11O lloyd #utft (@111O1O1O11O) reported from Wallasey, England

@virginmedia I only worked as a network Ops mgr for nearly 10 years, so I guess I wouldn't understand network issues and connectivity, really. Or service level agreements. Or teaching my grandmother how to suck eggs.

  • lurkinhead Martin Travis (@lurkinhead) reported from Birkenhead, England

@les_murray71 @virginmedia Still saying 12.05 on the app Lesley .... have they put that new estimated fix time out elsewhere? 😱

  • cbray72 Christopher Bray (@cbray72) reported from Liverpool, England

@virginmedia I think so yes there's definitely a issue of some description as it keeps happening all the time

  • 111O1O1O11O lloyd #utft (@111O1O1O11O) reported from Wallasey, England

No service in CH44 for 2 days last week, back on for 2, then off again today. No text updates but service status says a fix by 20.00. Won't happen though will it? @virginmedia

  • lurkinhead Martin Travis (@lurkinhead) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia Okay, but with respect, the problem is your call centre say different stuff every time, which inevitably bears no resemblance to reality. Later, VM deny those conversations ever took place and there is no written evidence to back up what was agreed. That's what I am after here?

  • les_murray71 Lesley Murray (@les_murray71) reported from Wallasey, England

@virginmedia @joshyw0shy Its the whole of the Wirral by the sound of it, no statement from Virgin, just telling hundreds of customers to check for an outage, only have to look at their twitter to see how many of us have been told the same thing

  • cambo691 Cambo (@cambo691) reported from Birkenhead, England

@les_murray71 @virginmedia This and their woeful customer service is why we binned them off mate

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • emdrsuejenssen sue cowan jenssen (@emdrsuejenssen) reported

@virginmedia @vmbusinesshelp It was your customer support team that was failed so miserably

  • 1ginalee1 Georgina Pottinger (@1ginalee1) reported

@virginmedia Yes it is attached to an active Virgin account. I think there might be a problem with the server.

  • TwoToesTone Two Toes Tone⚓ (@TwoToesTone) reported

Can someone @virginmedia please explain how a customer who has been with you since the very beginning cannot get the same deals as a new customer ? 1130 Mbps broadband only deal £39 for 18 months. Existing customer £60. £360 worse off for loyalty..C'mon give us a break.

  • dragon15a Avril (@dragon15a) reported

@virginmedia Your customer service left a lot to be desired before but now it’s appalling!

  • melonie45678 Mel (@melonie45678) reported

@virginmedia Yes, upload speeds were very slow last night but download speeds were normal, I couldn’t download 100mb files, it would cancel around 8/9pm. I was doing some work then. I checked status checker and it said intermittent signal issue. Then it fixed itself around 5-8am.

  • emma64979643 emma-kvs (@emma64979643) reported

@virginmedia Well that reply is no help is it! I’m still no further forward with what it means… just that the switch over is 6th April. WhTs the point of your call centres if they’ve no idea of what’s going on

  • Neilmackay19 N (@Neilmackay19) reported

@virginmedia Yep I discussed with your retention team, who used the loyalty word to seek to retain me and then offered me a worst deal than you advertise. Also a prior call when I was offered a ‘deal’ was then withdrawn when I phoned back…until I threatened to complain. @MoneySavingExp

  • EllieMcConnel18 Stealthy🎮👾🥔 (@EllieMcConnel18) reported

@virginmedia Hi Gareth Really confused right now. Yesterday I did as Netflix asked us to do because they said the accounts were no longer connection. So I created a new Netflix account in my dad's name. The prompt mentioned never came up when we resigned in. Also why is our next bill £201?

  • Toadfish007 David Longstaff (@Toadfish007) reported

@virginmedia If it's one of your call centre or someone working for virgin I have just had another call and they are very rude, not a good look for the company

  • VikTheViking85 VikTheViking85 (@VikTheViking85) reported

@dad_in_plaid_ @virginmedia Nope, not down that way lol
