@virginmedia I'm not sure this is the 3rd box. It's the one with the router in same room. Re advice remotely got message saying problem could not be solved.

  • Gary_Kilroy
Gary Kilroy (@Gary_Kilroy) reported from Liverpool, England

Having the choice of the awful customer service of @virginmedia or the @bt_uk network which in my area might as well be two tin cans tied together with string is great!

  • les_murray71
Lesley Murray (@les_murray71) reported from Wallasey, England

@virginmedia Thats just an update to say they are dealing with the issue, people want to know what the issue was and why it is taking so long to repair, there is a continuous extension to repair time and your customers at least deserve detailed information

@virginmedia do you want the prize for the shittiest broadband ever or would you like to fix my internet service?

  • lurkinhead
Martin Travis (@lurkinhead) reported from Birkenhead, England

@virginmedia There's no point raising a complaint is there, as you won't comprnsate? Other reputable oroviders offer a back-up 4 or 5g device to kick in if their main broadband goes down, to keep the service running. Not VM though - it's just all really poor customer service innit?

  • Radebreast
Graeme Radebe (@Radebreast) reported from Ormskirk, England

@virginmedia what have you done to the Sky TV app - its constantly buffering and showing error messages. Just awful service. Please can you get this sorted ASAP please.

  • JohnMurphy9172
murf (@JohnMurphy9172) reported from Liverpool, England

@virginmedia Just managed to get hold of someone, and apparently after over 10 years of no problems I now need WiFi boosters at an extra cost to myself all of a sudden, they couldn't tell me why just trying to squeeze more money out of me

lloyd #utft (@111O1O1O11O) reported from Wallasey, England

@virginmedia I only worked as a network Ops mgr for nearly 10 years, so I guess I wouldn't understand network issues and connectivity, really. Or service level agreements. Or teaching my grandmother how to suck eggs.

  • JemimaCamhs
Jemima (@JemimaCamhs) reported from Garston, England

@virginmedia Hi, will this continued investment mean finally getting signal in my area? It’s a central area and the signal is awful. Thanks

  • 1AnneMcCormack
Anne McCormack (@1AnneMcCormack) reported from Billinge Chapel End, England

@virginmedia I tell them to ring 999 or 0151 709 6010 if they want to report a crime. They hang up but they sound South Asian and their English is poor. I worry about other oaps being conned. Good luck chasing them.

Sort your awful Wi-Fi out @virginmedia

  • TimmyJ1972
Tim Jackson (@TimmyJ1972) reported from Garston, England

@virginmedia To be honest, the issue is an intermittent fault. My wife works from home and the broadband just drops out numerous times a day. Then comes back on. It’s only worthwhile doing a remote test if it’s when it drops out. Otherwise all will look fine

  • agarnett
Adam (@agarnett) reported from Wigan, England

@virginmedia Is there any way to tell if there are signal issues in your area? This says i should get 4g indoors and outdoors, i dont though i can barely access mobile internet from my house. Last 3 months have been awful

After 25 years with @virginmedia it’s time to say 👋. Relocating your customer services to SE Asia a few years back was a stupid move, I have wasted hours waiting and talking to your reps. Even now I must do the leg work to find a better deal. You should be phoning me to keep me.

@DigBipper188 @LiveFastSimp @miaaowing In the EU I get 30GB included, and there’s international minutes in my plan anyways. Just data that’s the issue outside the EU. Also O2 in my area was garbage last time I tried it, was on a virgin media contract so experienced both before and after the VMO2 merger. Then again, haven’t touched it since 2022.

@biggle1908 I’ve been with virgin media for 15 years now no issues whatsoever other than they cut the power to my old WiFi router which left me with no internet connection at all . They done this because I told them my WiFi box was fine I didn’t need to upgrade. I pay £78 pm just for interne

@biggle1908 Virgin media broadband is excellent. Problems start when you phone them…if you understand Indians with a less than rudimentary ability to speak English, go for it.

@virginmedia It’s a disgrace I have been trying to get a refund from my account for near 2 months now and it still has not been sent. 9 phone calls an email from a manager to guarantee it would be sent back and 7 chats all recorded. Think is a complaint to ofcom now !!

@Charltonater @skytv I was with Virgin Media before they put my price up by £100. I wish I had just paid it. I have not used my Sky Stream since Friday I am fed up with having to reset it every 20 mins. Just using the Apps on my smart TV now. I’m going to cancel the contract.
