  • lizziespeller

@Football101blog @virginmedia And it’s not just one customer. Is there some magic number of customers that make a complaint valid? When you have a business to run, a job to do- and are in lockdown already- days without internet are a major problem.

  • Jenacious_D
Jenacious_D (the D is a Tribute) (@Jenacious_D) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@dcb72 @virginmedia I reckon it’ll be just before the point at which they’d have to pay compensation for the outage.

  • harmsy
Andrew “2 m away” Harmsworth (@harmsy) reported from Oakington and Westwick, England

Virgin Media. Two words synonymous with Customer Disservice.

  • nleaney
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@UKPowerNetworks short (7 minute) power outage experienced in CB245** @virginmedia service lost as well as @EE service too. I know the value of a UPS and while I recognise that residential broadband isn’t protected, I’m shocked that the EE mobile service was compromised.

  • ScottWestron
Scott Westron (@ScottWestron) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia I’d love to meet you head of customer care. I have nearly ten years’ experience of being your customer - purely - because you are the only people I can get cable with. You have been consistently *awful* every single time that I have had the misfortune to need your help.

  • LizzieSagoo

For a while now, I’ve been dissatisfied with the performance of my elderly rented @virginmedia TIVO TV box. Tonight it ceased to function, so I phoned for a fix. I didn’t get a fix. Instead the operator tried to sell me a new one at extra cost. Not a happy bunny!

  • LizzieSagoo
Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia It’s now past 6pm and still no internet. Website now says no problem in our area, but phone (150) says there is a problem but no fix time. Can we have an update?

  • Adam_CFLP
Adam Moghadas (@Adam_CFLP) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia please explain why I should be paying close to £100 a month for a service that seldom works? & why they don’t employ enough customer services operatives (do love a no one here please call back later message)! #profitoverservice #time4achange #intenselyfrustrated

  • GoMcMahon
#DocMartin (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia why is it impossible for you to provide customer support? Every other major company has managed to set up employees to work from home and continue customer support, but your great media company cannot! 20+ mins waiting for an answer, is very poor.

  • HarryAldridge92
Harry Aldridge (@HarryAldridge92) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia Hi, I disabled 5ghz on the IP website because someone at ‘Ring Doorbell’ said it will only work on 2.4 but now none of my devices will connect to WiFi. I now can’t log back in to change it back to what it was. Is this something you can please help me with? Thanks

  • MakelyStudio
    Ali@Makely (@MakelyStudio) reported

10 years. 50M+ users. £11M+ revenue impact. Citibank. Mercedes. Sky. Virgin Media. NatWest. I spent a decade fixing conversion problems at companies most startups would kill to work with. what I learned: the same broken patterns show up everywhere - onboarding that loses people in the first 60 seconds, pricing pages that confuse instead of convert, signup flows with friction nobody ever fixed. now I build the same systems for funded startups.

  • JulieFeronica
    littlemisssunshine (@JulieFeronica) reported

@virginmedia what's going on in CF14? The broadband is constantly dropping out. App is useless... always says there's nothing wrong until I check the hub, then it's an "intermittent signal". This is just woeful.

  • DaveJBanks
    Dave Banks (@DaveJBanks) reported

@virginmedia what's the problem and how long is the fix likely to take please? (LE8)

  • Nasher6328
    Mr Nash (@Nasher6328) reported

@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Under UK law (primarily the Consumer Rights Act 2015), broadband services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and be of satisfactory quality. A complete outage lasting 7 weeks is almost certainly a breach, giving you the right to end the contract and seek a remedy (like cancellation without penalty or a refund for the affected period). Virgin Media participates in Ofcom's automatic compensation scheme for total loss of service (no internet at all via wired connection). You should already be getting ~£10.34 per day automatically after the first 2 full working days of reporting the fault. This doesn't directly let you cancel penalty-free, but it supports your case.
