@virginmedia can you please advise how I can easily cancel my service ASAP. It's (deliberately) impossible to contact your company by phone.

@virginmedia Media service. I waited 30 mins to speak to someone, after selecting an electronic option to cancel. "I'm not authorised to cancel". Now back on hold. Virgin has the worst customer service of any company I've interacted with. It's insane.

Michael Taylor (@mickeywhizz) reported from Newburn, England
@virginmedia This has never been suggested before; you’ve been quite happy just to take the money and then hit me with an annual increase way above inflation. I’ve spoken to customer services on a couple of times in the last couple of months, and the offers have been quite frankly insulting.
-
CazzaW (@CazzaW) reported from Walker Gate, England
Cancelled @virginmedia Starplayz subscription as they have no channel number and no app to search for programmes! Crazy and call centre staff don’t understand why this is a problem. Don’t waste £5 a month.

Janice (@Janthebestmam) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England
@virginmedia its for my broad band service
-
Michael Taylor (@mickeywhizz) reported from Newburn, England
@virginmedia Media. I ditched the TV part of the bundle years ago, but am still currently paying £50.99 p/m for 150mb broadband and a phone we never use. Come September, when you increase it by another £3.50 it’ll have gone from £37 in Dec 16 to £54.49 - A ridiculous 47% INCREASE......

-
Bev Frankland (@BevFrankland) reported from South Shields, England
@virginmedia That's all well and good but you have insisted we update our box or it will not work, your website link is not working, text service and chat not responding and your telephone advisor insists I buy a new service whilst your letter states its free! Not paying more for less!!
-
Chris Higham (@rl_chris_higham) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England
@virginmedia £20 a month 'existing customer' penalty on the best you can offer me Vs the best new customer deal is just too much, afraid that's a cancellation from a 10 years loyal customer. £240 is a lot of money!
-
⚕ ᑕᕼᖇIS ⚕ (@kicka11) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England
@virginmedia Worst customer service I've ever encountered. On multiple occasions over several years. Rudeness and lack of knowledge being the main issues, along with the usual very long hold times.
-
Michael Taylor (@mickeywhizz) reported from Newburn, England
@virginmedia Thanks for your help with this, but can you please refrain from using foreign call centres; it is incredibly frustrating trying to explain to someone that you’re unhappy about your bill, who interprets this as a technical problem.......
-
pipkins (@fredspoon) reported from Chester-le-Street, England
@DMcCSE17 @virginmedia All phone signal in London is terrible including public Wi-fi. I love when I come back to north east for a decent signal and decent Wi-fi speed :)

-
Graeme Stickings (@Stickings90) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England
@virginmedia what was my TiVo box meant to be updating. I woke in the night to find it on and the screen saying it was updating software, don't switch off. I rang 151 to find out, but the automatic system said there was an issue and sent a restart pulse 1/2

@virginmedia @whippletom The problem is that you’ve doubled my cost! How is that fair. I now pay more than someone who has just started a contract for 100% slower speeds. How is that fair??!

@BendyBen999 @virginmedia I had an outage the other week. Their website says £8 per day compensation, the advisor I spoke to tried to offer me £5 so I called them out on it, so don’t hold your breath! Can’t wait to switch from Virgin.

@virginmedia Also if I follow the link through Twitter how am I supposed to monitor Twitter for a response on here also without closing the live chat? Not fair on the customer putting them in that situation

@virginmedia hello. I have experienced a really rude staff on the call and since it is giving in my nerves. Your staff need to be nice to the customers, not because they do not understand WHATEVER your staff says and they need be more understandable and nice. I found it really-

@virginmedia I’ve done this a million times and now spoken to a technical advisor who has now left me with NO internet as opposed to slow internet. I have an engineer coming on the 24th November but I work from home!

@virginmedia No faults just poor transmission from your side. My reliable speed checker even tells me who is providing your service and that changed yesterday. Please sort this out and pay me the £8.50 compensation for each day lost.
-
John Pizzamiglio (@johnnyroddam) reported
@virginmedia Many many times. It tells me you are working on it and hard luck, it’ll be 8 hours. You « fix » it. It crashes the next day. You admit it’s your fault. Be honest with your customers and tell us how many days we have to prepare for with no broadband.
