  • RockcliffeFiles Rockcliffe Files (@RockcliffeFiles) reported from Whitley Bay, England

@virginmedia It’s difficult to articulate in a tweet but speaking to someone in an offshore contact centre who has a very poor grasp of English is extremely frustrating. There is no malice in this, it’s just a statement of fact, I couldn’t make myself understood, it took 4 calls and 75 mins.

  • Stickings90 Graeme Stickings (@Stickings90) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@virginmedia what was my TiVo box meant to be updating. I woke in the night to find it on and the screen saying it was updating software, don't switch off. I rang 151 to find out, but the automatic system said there was an issue and sent a restart pulse 1/2

  • Darylx Daryl (@Darylx) reported from Gateshead, England

@virginmedia Can you please help me. I've rang twice to upgrade my TiVo box free upgrade. Tried online can't do it. First time cut off. Web chat I tried was told I had to phone.40 mins in second time lady was having system issues so transferred me and guess what I was cut off

@virginmedia Media. I ditched the TV part of the bundle years ago, but am still currently paying £50.99 p/m for 150mb broadband and a phone we never use. Come September, when you increase it by another £3.50 it’ll have gone from £37 in Dec 16 to £54.49 - A ridiculous 47% INCREASE......

  • fredspoon pipkins (@fredspoon) reported from Chester-le-Street, England

@DMcCSE17 @virginmedia All phone signal in London is terrible including public Wi-fi. I love when I come back to north east for a decent signal and decent Wi-fi speed :)

  • CazzaW CazzaW (@CazzaW) reported from Walker Gate, England

Cancelled @virginmedia Starplayz subscription as they have no channel number and no app to search for programmes! Crazy and call centre staff don’t understand why this is a problem. Don’t waste £5 a month.

@Kasiohead_ @virginmedia I have no advice for you but I would like to add my voice to the fact they are utterly terrible.

  • rl_chris_higham Chris Higham (@rl_chris_higham) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@virginmedia £20 a month 'existing customer' penalty on the best you can offer me Vs the best new customer deal is just too much, afraid that's a cancellation from a 10 years loyal customer. £240 is a lot of money!

  • VictoriaBarry82 Vicki barry (@VictoriaBarry82) reported from Sunderland, England

@virginmedia There seems to be a network problem. The box had a green light flashing. Our phones & iPads are connect but the sky boxes don’t seem to be. Can I DM you please

  • RockcliffeFiles Rockcliffe Files (@RockcliffeFiles) reported from Whitley Bay, England

@RevDubbleD @virginmedia Absolutely appalling service today. The attitude of the people I dealt with was staggering for a customer centric organisation.

  • BevFrankland Bev Frankland (@BevFrankland) reported from South Shields, England

@virginmedia you write stating have to upgrade to free tivo box & I must contact you 2 arrange. Web site doesn't work, no answer online chat, no answer on text and phone advisor tries to sell me an upgrade. Then email advising price rise in inbox. - total joke!!!

  • RockcliffeFiles Rockcliffe Files (@RockcliffeFiles) reported from Whitley Bay, England

@danielpwood1 @virginmedia I don’t have a regional accent so am normally easily understood, I’m also very patient, enjoy speaking to the Indian guys about cricket, but tonight it was unprofessional and my near thirty years service to VM in all it’s guises rendered irrelevant

  • BevFrankland Bev Frankland (@BevFrankland) reported from South Shields, England

@virginmedia That's all well and good but you have insisted we update our box or it will not work, your website link is not working, text service and chat not responding and your telephone advisor insists I buy a new service whilst your letter states its free! Not paying more for less!!

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • stimooo1 stimooo (@stimooo1) reported

@virginmedia Thanks for having me on hold for two hours and cutting me off! Problem not solved at all! Fantastic customer service! NOT! All I want is you to come and install the indoor wall socket so I can actually use my broadband I have purchased from you!😡

  • sjslfcforever Si Smith (@sjslfcforever) reported

@virginmedia No nothing on service status page

  • stimooo1 stimooo (@stimooo1) reported

@virginmedia Brilliant customer service had me on hold for two hours and cut me off cheers! Can you reply so we can sort this out!

  • LittleToRelate Phil King (@LittleToRelate) reported

@uk_domain_names Possibly, tho' all broadband providers apart from Virgin Media use the Openreach local network, and this is the bit that is most likely to fail (cables particularly). Reckon on an outage of around 24 hours per year on average (but could be days). So mobile backup could be better.

  • PennyArcade10 Mr Spgt (@PennyArcade10) reported

@virginmedia Stay connected? I disconnect 5/6 times daily. No reason. Raised complaint, 4 failed contacts later I called Liberty Global. Engineer changed hub. Still the same. About 6 weeks later a letter came. Complaint would close if I didn't contact them by... 10 days ago. Please help.

  • AnnMemmott Ann Memmott PGC🌈 (@AnnMemmott) reported

Really looking forward to leaving @virginmedia broadband soon. A whole month of being unable to contact a human being is quite something, adding to the broken promises to send a router, engineer, etc. Hurrah for the new company. So nice. Real people.

  • SteveSteveu35 jollybaker1 (@SteveSteveu35) reported

@virginmedia Well they never replied to me so good luck 👍

  • DuddyFiona Fiona duddy (@DuddyFiona) reported

@virginmedia @LynneyS I have to laugh at this, so many people have been impacted by issues with your company from home schooling, working and your vulnerable customers as well. No connection and no way to get help

  • xokmxo KARENMURPHY (@xokmxo) reported

@virginmedia 2 days later and its STILL not working

  • aspielifec Charlotte 💙 (@aspielifec) reported

@AnnMemmott @virginmedia My advice is don’t switch to BT. Our wifi kept cutting off for days at a time and we then had to wait weeks for someone to fix it. And even after it was fixed, it kept cutting off for very long periods.
