@virginmedia It's not a problem at my end, and it's not just me affected. Have you really not noticed a flurry of people saying the same thing? I know people in different areas of the UK who have the same problems at the same times.

  • UnicornRunning
Paul Jukes A874036 (@UnicornRunning) reported from South Shields, England

@virginmedia This appears to be a known issue on your forums (phantom calls) but we refuse to be charged for the visit. Also waiting for a WhatsApp for over an hour because the direct debit still has his late wife's name on account after 7+ years, & we can't change it online (same acc no.).

  • PaulCraig24
Mr Smoggie (@PaulCraig24) reported from Whitley Bay, England

@virginmedia my Mam has been trying to sort her mobile out today. As she can’t remember her password or security answer, she has been unable to access her account to cancel it. Can you let me know what she can do?

  • gazza_d
Real Gaz on a proper bike #fbpe (@gazza_d) reported from South Shields, England

@_MMaritima @virginmedia Wired speed test would be to isolate between a wireless problem or the connection in. Router might be shielded which would kill signal. Make sure other electronics aren't too close. I can ruin my wireless if I put router on top of my TiVo box

  • gazza_d
Real Gaz on a proper bike #fbpe (@gazza_d) reported from South Shields, England

@_MMaritima @virginmedia I'd say that needs an engineer visit then at least. Probably either a bad connection or a flakey modem. Phone and log it every time it goes off.

  • PaulCraig24
Mr Smoggie (@PaulCraig24) reported from South Shields, England

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Real_Priception
    Priception (@Real_Priception) reported

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt Threaten to leave and they'll drop it down to the original rate

  • quizrollawin
    Asha rollawin (@quizrollawin) reported

@virginmedia I'm a former customer and want to make a complaint but this isn't possible online without having a VM account - so how can people complain as former customers who are owed money?

  • Cieran_Smith98
    Cieran Smith (@Cieran_Smith98) reported

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt I left them last month after 12 years, also gone to open reach (EE) the service is far superior both the hard product and the customer service.

  • srobinson2709
    Steven Robinson (@srobinson2709) reported

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt I moved to alt net, **** the main companies. Been with Quickline 6 months, during initial setup there were some speed drops, contacted support was fixed next day. Other than that no issues so far.

  • cycleprawn
    SFB-Mod (@cycleprawn) reported

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt Scum company. Lying cheats on their OS call centres. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

  • je_durrant
    James Durrant (@je_durrant) reported

I’ve had it with @virginmedia No service since 10 Jul and it won’t be fixed until 17 Aug. They can’t give me a 5G modem despite being joined with O2 and say I should be happy with the £10 p/d Ofcom comp; that doesn’t help me do work. £800 to cancel my contract, it’s a racket

  • Phoenixrahman
    Phoenix Rahman (@Phoenixrahman) reported

@virginmedia @RA0307J No companies know how to treat loyal customers anymore. Was with VM for over 20+ years. They acknowledged that but they did not try to keep us. Glad I moved away from them. Companies are all about greed now

  • DeviateDefiant
    R.L. MacMurray 🇬🇧 (@DeviateDefiant) reported

@DeviousPL @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt Yeah their C/S is absolutely atrocious, I'm basically 'grandfathered' into VM from when their network was the only way to get more than about 8mbit down. These days the DOCSIS/coax setup is vastly inferior to any OpenReach FTTP, with fibre directly to the socket.

  • Edeaulx
    Adrian Weale (@Edeaulx) reported

I would contact you directly @virginmedia but your 'My Virgin Media' website won't allow me to sign in. I assume that this kind of obstructiveness is what got you fined so lavishly by @Ofcom

  • robsmit54519473
    rob smith (@robsmit54519473) reported

@scripture36 @virginmedia Perhaps try being actually disabled. Instead of a bit slow
