@virginmedia It’s difficult to articulate in a tweet but speaking to someone in an offshore contact centre who has a very poor grasp of English is extremely frustrating. There is no malice in this, it’s just a statement of fact, I couldn’t make myself understood, it took 4 calls and 75 mins.

@jeffsprogress @virginmedia I changed to Virgin because BT would drop out regularly in the middle of the Moto GP. Used to have a great service with Sky but they charge an extra 30 something quid for BT Sport

@virginmedia £20 a month 'existing customer' penalty on the best you can offer me Vs the best new customer deal is just too much, afraid that's a cancellation from a 10 years loyal customer. £240 is a lot of money!

@danielpwood1 @virginmedia I don’t have a regional accent so am normally easily understood, I’m also very patient, enjoy speaking to the Indian guys about cricket, but tonight it was unprofessional and my near thirty years service to VM in all it’s guises rendered irrelevant

@virginmedia No known issues. It’s only wireless speeds. There is no excuse for this, it happens to me almost everyday. I would like to discuss it with someone as I tried at the weekend and was completely fobbed off by your service team. I pay nearly £50 a month and often have to use my 4G

I'm wondering how much worse @virginmedia can get. A retentions person just CALLED ME & during the call advised that my hub MUST be in router mode to provide a connection to my devices. Even though I have my own router & mesh WiFi. I was then COLD TRANSFERRED to 1st Line Support!
-
Mike Ferguson

@virginmedia The wording of the scheme states that your customers need to register that they are impacted. Your webpage isn’t allowing this as it is showing normal service. Catch-22?
-
Charles Hadji

@virginmedia The best way I can describe the call is shite. I got transferred to Dean in retentions, he tells me he has expertise in the problem area and has had me on silent hold for half an hour and counting. You couldn’t run a tap, let alone an telecommunications company. What is going on?
-
Charles Hadji
(@charleshadji) reported
@virginmedia Apparently it is “noise on the line” and an area manager is being brought into the loop. We had this same issue a few weeks ago and you gave me the same bullshit story that compensation is not possible because it is an intermittent fault, not a total loss of service. Ridiculous.
