  • RobbyRSSRobot
Robby #CelebrateNeighbours (@RobbyRSSRobot) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

Mike Moody (@classicm) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@virginmedia All my tv, broadband and phone services are down. Nobody available from Virgin to help. Done all the usual checks and still off.

  • Deggsytweets
Deggsy™ (@Deggsytweets) reported from Sunderland, England

@virginmedia I have to wait 24hrs & call back not only is the red light an issue, the WiFi has now stopped working!

  • UnicornRunning
Paul Jukes A874036 (@UnicornRunning) reported from South Shields, England

Ye gods, @virginmedia customer service is beyond terrible. An hour trying to resolve a "phantom calls" issue last night which now needs an engineer visit, and spotted that a direct debit is in an incorrect name but this can't be changed via WhatsApp chat and needs *another* call.

  • clairekitty12
claire🐱🐾🐾 (@clairekitty12) reported from Gateshead, England

  • scotty8461
Bob Scott (@scotty8461) reported from Shiremoor, England

@virginmedia more disgustingly slow speeds in NE27

  • Look_North
Karl Ward (@Look_North) reported from Whitley Bay, England

@virginmedia I dread clicking that link. I fear being sucked down the rabbit hole of Ai customer service bots where I eventually give up until I'm exasperated by the next monthly bill increase.

  • UnicornRunning
Paul Jukes A874036 (@UnicornRunning) reported from South Shields, England

@virginmedia Lots of people are complaining about this on the customer forums. We've had very little downtime since the separate router was connected, it's suddenly gone to pot and seems to be a general issue at the moment.

  • tenchylad
Stu (@tenchylad) reported from Sunderland, England

@virginmedia why is your self service so poor please. Unable to resolve the fault that I have on my service for 2 days now. No one to speak to and the website is abhorrent in terms of customer experience and engagement. Endless loop of bad requests within the servers you use too

  • Ne31phil
Phil Robinson (@Ne31phil) reported from Hebburn, England

@virginmedia please advise Reduced mobile signal in the NE31 area. The signals were fine until a couple of months ago. previously had 4g I now mainly get E or sometimes 3G this is an issue due to my elderly mother-in-law being in hospital and now very poor signal in their home

  • P25_Fletch
Paul fletcher (@P25_Fletch) reported from South Shields, England

@virginmedia You’s really do make it almost impossible to cancel. I’ve called 5 times over 3 days. Either don’t get transferred or get cut off. Looks like I’ll try by writing a letter….

  • mickeywhizz
Michael Taylor (@mickeywhizz) reported from Newburn, England

@markcatchlove @virginmedia Pleased it’s not just me Mark. It really pee’s me off the contempt with which they treat their existing, loyal customers, some of whom have remained loyal since the days when they were Telewest. #newcustomersonly

  • seldomseenkid16
Georgina McGowan (@seldomseenkid16) reported from Gateshead, England

@virginmedia can you help with my phone services not currently working

  • gazza_d
Real Gaz on a proper bike #fbpe (@gazza_d) reported from South Shields, England

@_MMaritima @virginmedia Wired speed test would be to isolate between a wireless problem or the connection in. Router might be shielded which would kill signal. Make sure other electronics aren't too close. I can ruin my wireless if I put router on top of my TiVo box

  • purplelime
Sam (@purplelime) reported from South Shields, England

@virginmedia I was told to log into the Myo2 app to change it myself, but I have been sent no login details and of course if the email address is incorrect it won’t be recognised if I try to register. O2 said we would receive texts with updates on number port timeline but had no communication

  • liamsholder91
liam sholder (@liamsholder91) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@virginmedia what's going on still nothing no data no phone service nothing sort it out

  • tenchylad
Stu (@tenchylad) reported from Sunderland, England

@OliverStanding @virginmedia It's not a great self serve option and poor customer experience. I have an issue trying to remove a service from my current package. Cant be done digitally or remotely. Only via phone which even then very few of the advisors have the levels of authority to amend your package.

  • stephwales_
Steph. (@stephwales_) reported from Gateshead, England

@virginmedia 2 technicians over a week period, 4 visits. TV back on but Internet on and off now. Will be ringing Sky tomorrow and also your cancellation team. Clearly this is my service from now on.

  • dothefunkgibbon
    ArtVandaley (@dothefunkgibbon) reported

@virginmedia Instead of silly twitter replies , when you know there is a big outage why don't you publish it on the website ? Have a message on the phone line also , would solve a lot of problems . Your phone lines were overwhelmed yet that could have been prevented .

  • PaulOBrienKil
    Paul O'Brien (@PaulOBrienKil) reported

@VMSportIE I strongly urge anyone thinking of subscribing to @virginmedia to NOT do it. Took over a hour to get through to customer service & they still won't fix their mistake. Shambles of an organisation.

  • JHNaismith
    James (Jim) Naismith (@JHNaismith) reported

Usually optimistic on technological progress so disappointed broadband speed being > halved to 67Mbps next month by @bt_uk. @virginmedia can’t fix their “blocked duct” at front door, not good advert for uk infrastructure, I live in Jericho, central Oxford, not remote Highlands.

  • Dharmi04
    dharmi04 (@Dharmi04) reported

@virginmedia hi I have a problem with my broadband

  • maxinewilson121
    maxine wilson 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 (@maxinewilson121) reported

@MelJanie @virginmedia I’ve just left virgin media. Their customer service is abysmal

  • GauciReports
    Gauci Reports (@GauciReports) reported

@LPXIOP This isn’t anything new tbh. The two copper networks are basically BT & Virgin Media. They’ve been migrating across to VOIP (Voice over ip) for a long time now. Unfortunately copper networks have become old and expensive to maintain and quality of service just deteriorates over time with fault calls, replacing cables and customer complaints etc.
