Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Gateshead and nearby locations:

  • gazza_d Real Gaz on a proper bike #fbpe (@gazza_d) reported from South Shields, England

@_MMaritima @virginmedia Wired speed test would be to isolate between a wireless problem or the connection in. Router might be shielded which would kill signal. Make sure other electronics aren't too close. I can ruin my wireless if I put router on top of my TiVo box

  • liamsholder91 🇺🇦liam sholder #ISTANDWITHUKRAINE🇺🇦 (@liamsholder91) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@virginmedia why is my internet not working ne4 8qh please sort it 🙏

  • stephwales_ Steph. (@stephwales_) reported from Gateshead, England

@virginmedia everything else is working except kids channels 712 to 717, W02 error. No other channel issues or broadband, done all the standard resets, unplugged at mains etc. Do I need to call to have this resolved? TV guide just says 'to be announced' Everything else is fine.

  • Ne31phil Phil Robinson (@Ne31phil) reported from Hebburn, England

@virginmedia please advise Reduced mobile signal in the NE31 area. The signals were fine until a couple of months ago. previously had 4g I now mainly get E or sometimes 3G this is an issue due to my elderly mother-in-law being in hospital and now very poor signal in their home

  • Stevedey Steve Dey (@Stevedey) reported from Newburn, England

@GingesLife @virginmedia Honestly mate it’s a joke! Just paid the bill yesterday and now the cheeky buggers can’t even provide the service they charge us so much for.

  • Dave_is_Elvis David (@Dave_is_Elvis) reported from Boldon Colliery, England

@virginmedia checked your outage tracker and says all services good on the area. Been without internet for nearly an hour. What is going on?

  • UnicornRunning Paul Jukes A874036 (@UnicornRunning) reported from South Shields, England

@virginmedia This appears to be a known issue on your forums (phantom calls) but we refuse to be charged for the visit. Also waiting for a WhatsApp for over an hour because the direct debit still has his late wife's name on account after 7+ years, & we can't change it online (same acc no.).

  • liamsholder91 liam sholder (@liamsholder91) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

Ain't happy with @virginmedia cancelled the TV months ago and yous are still charging me for it only just noticed just checking on the bill online now this isn't the first its the second wtf man really i have phone and broadband I'm want out keep the money you've taken 🤬

  • UnicornRunning Paul Jukes A874036 (@UnicornRunning) reported from South Shields, England

Ye gods, @virginmedia customer service is beyond terrible. An hour trying to resolve a "phantom calls" issue last night which now needs an engineer visit, and spotted that a direct debit is in an incorrect name but this can't be changed via WhatsApp chat and needs *another* call.

  • geemiller71 Gareth Miller 🇺🇦 (@geemiller71) reported from South Shields, England

    @virginmedia broadband down??? Ne34????

  • liamsholder91 liam sholder (@liamsholder91) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@virginmedia can you help me please everytime I try to log in the virgin media app on my mobile account it's logs me off all the time why ?

  • gazza_d Real Gaz on a proper bike #fbpe (@gazza_d) reported from South Shields, England

@_MMaritima @virginmedia I'd say that needs an engineer visit then at least. Probably either a bad connection or a flakey modem. Phone and log it every time it goes off.

  • stephwales_ Steph. (@stephwales_) reported from Gateshead, England

A week of no issues after a month of next to no tv and now it starts all over again. I have sound and the guide but just a black screen on every channel. So glad my contract is up, deffo going to be leaving this time. Waste of time and money!!!!! @virginmedia

  • stephwales_ Steph. (@stephwales_) reported from Gateshead, England

@virginmedia That was the original issue, the main thing outside was flooded and corroded (affecting 6 customers in street), so the network team I think came and fixed that, we've had 1 week of working service until today.

  • geemiller71 Gareth Miller 🇺🇦 (@geemiller71) reported from Washington, England

@ee no signal on 5g in @IcelandFoods wife 4g on @virginmedia full signal.

  • stephwales_ Steph. (@stephwales_) reported from Gateshead, England

1 whole week without any @virginmedia, months of signal issues. Engineer has gone out of his way but having to continually wait. Hopefully the engineer booked for tomorrow turns up and replaces my now faulty equipment.

  • stephwales_ Steph. (@stephwales_) reported from Gateshead, England

@virginmedia 2 technicians over a week period, 4 visits. TV back on but Internet on and off now. Will be ringing Sky tomorrow and also your cancellation team. Clearly this is my service from now on.

  • jamie_davison1 Jamie Davison (@jamie_davison1) reported from Seaham, England

My wifi and 4g at home is absolutely garbage, sort your **** out @virginmedia

  • tenchylad Stu (@tenchylad) reported from Sunderland, England

@virginmedia why is your self service so poor please. Unable to resolve the fault that I have on my service for 2 days now. No one to speak to and the website is abhorrent in terms of customer experience and engagement. Endless loop of bad requests within the servers you use too

  • UnicornRunning Paul Jukes A874036 (@UnicornRunning) reported from South Shields, England

@gotthegistofit @virginmedia Same, just spent a frustrating hour on their "customer service" line because about £40 of calls are on my father-in-law's bill which weren't made. Still not resolved and an engineer has to come our first (which they wanted to charge for!)

@virginmedia Hi, had broadband go off for about 20 mins at weekend, it's now off and not come back up. Checker says no issues in my area and I've rebooted the hub, no joy.

  • TerezaLoux Tereza Louise Kirwan (@TerezaLoux) reported

@virginmedia You keep charging me over my packet price and then saying you'll give me credit and never do! Iv had 2 bills this month after paying over £200 last month ... and no one makes sense they go to and from and lie.

  • mikeystorey 🇲🇮🇨🇭🇦🇪🇱 (@mikeystorey) reported from Grantham, England

@virginmedia I’m an existing customer and it wants me to start a new order for a package?

  • donmcallister Don McAllister (@donmcallister) reported

@virginmedia I had to get my password reset by support. Looks like I can login using the Virgin TV Go app on all devices. However, it looks like access to the MyVirginMedia app is only showing the error on my iPhone

  • Smiggylfc19 Lewis (@Smiggylfc19) reported

@virginmedia The break down shows last months bill as unpaid and a late charge on top of this months bill, however, I had this whole bill wiped as good faith due to a complaint so this isn’t ideal to see this on my bill today

  • LDHMarketing LDH Marketing (@LDHMarketing) reported

@virginmedia About 2 weeks. And no, it's totally unpredictable. It's happened in the past too a year or two ago. I've had a new TiVo box since then, and I think, anyway, it was found to be a national network, not local, issue.
