@virginmedia I see. It is very unfortunate as I cannot do my work when I’m not online and I also spend more on mobile internet because the service I pay for regularly is simply not there.

@virginmedia I’ve sorted the problem I think. Or maybe until the next time it goes off. I’ve disconnected coax cable etc and blew them clean and tightened them back up and done a speed test and it’s up to 365mb download speed. Hopefully this has fixed problem

Ha ha @virginmedia it’s gone off again. This is twice since dinner time where it’s just randomly turned itself off. #annoying and yes it’s saying there’s nothing wrong with the service in my area. So why does it turn itself off ffs

Please be aware everyone when you get a inbox from virgin media. I got one yesterday asking about my account and asking me to send my card details and card holder name and security number to verify the account. It wasn’t virgin media but a scam. Because my internet was down. Scum

@virginmedia Each time it says there is a known issue in the area. Please can you actually read my thread of tweets and absorb what I've written, and then answer my questions from the tweets. So frustrating that all you ever say is to check the service status when I've already told you I have

Jason Deline
(@JasonDeline) reported
@virginmedia That doesn't help. They take me through a few modem tests and tell me there's nothing they can do, that the lines can't handle both speed and stability. Apparently my area supports neither. This needs to be escalated. I'm paying for 50 Mbps and getting less than 5. Do better.

tom

@virginmedia Nope, and the outcome was a complaint being filed and me then hanging up due to their circling around back to "nothing is wrong" I wouldn't be complaining if everything was hunky dory would I!
-
tom
(@Tomoulds) reported
@virginmedia Yes they did. After years of being a customer I'm sightly miffed my 3-4 year old hub 3 isn't working properly and having to do weekly having to reset the box and frequently restarting connections is considered normal 👍

@virginmedia Continuous outages for all 3 of your services over a period of 18 days. No response to complaints and constant “no issue in your area” updates when clearly there are significant issues across the postcode (M33).

@alxndrt @lynrobinson @virginmedia I’ve learned that basically you should dump their hardware. I bought a decent wifi network, and plug it into their wifi box as just a non-wifi router. Had zero problems in a year now. So it’s not their network is their wifi hardware that sucks. No comment on customer service tho
