Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Euxton, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Euxton and nearby locations:

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia I have your smart hub 3, or as I like to call it the dumb dumb 3000. (It's struggles to broadcast a decent connection around a 2 bed flat, so it's been banished to modem mode. (Honestly, it's the worst router ive ever dealt with) 😳

  • mgsevs sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@virginmedia @Piethagoram How about maintaining free roaming charges then seeing as you've hiked the cost of using your service

  • Cityredandy Andrew Olive (@Cityredandy) reported from Boothstown, England

@virginmedia It is now showing me what's available but will not allow me to sign in?

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Yeah, I've done all that (I'm a techy) it's why it's in modem mode and replaced with a capable router. The issue isnt the equipment it's the connection. Without the hub3 I can run upto 900Mbps download and 240mbps upload.

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia If does now. 12:00. That's 17 hours without service.

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia LS, I have and do regularly when ever it seems slow. It varies from 12mbps download to a maximum of 110mbps. However the monthly average is under 60mbps. Which falls well short of my guaranteed speed.

  • TheRealRagtag Stephen Murtagh (@TheRealRagtag) reported from Penwortham, England

@virginmedia No email access for 3 days now on the blueyonder access. All I get is "Oops, this page is broken." System says nothing is wrong. Terrible. I have done a check, and it says everything is working correctly on BBand/Telly. ??? Area 01.

  • DougHall18 Doug Hall (@DougHall18) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia The worst possible service from your disgraceful company TV and broadband down 5 times over Christmas. No explanation, no apologies. Sod the fact that I can't wfh or watch prime time TV. Had enough, I'm leaving.

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia ANOTHER outage in BL4 9LR area? Are you kidding me? That's the fourth in just over a week. And the second today!

  • mgsevs sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@MeNigeStew I'm with @virginmedia suffering for decent coverage in parts of the house & despite trying a pod (which has yet to work btw) wifi extenders (which fight with the main router) & 2 engineer visits I'm still suffering. Having full TV as well not sure how broadband price breaks down

  • mgsevs sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@virginmedia Tried them all over 18 months. Short of moving the router, which imo will shift the issue from one room to another, there's not a lot else open to me according to your representatives. We work from home and my wife uses all her mobile data every month as a wifi hotspot

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia Considering my router is a 1gbps it shouldn't be an issue. However even with wired it'll vary between 15mbps and 110mbps. However our average over a month is 53.6mbps, which is less than half the speed we pay for 😳.

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia That doesn't tell me anything. Just that the engineers ".. are working hard to fix it....." The service has been down since 7 last night. And no idea when it will be fixed. With zero redress after 4 incidents in a little over a week. Poor.

  • Baynesi83 bay (@Baynesi83) reported from Mellor, England

@NadineDorries @virginmedia @O2 Here she is again that glam Nan spouting bollocks that is instantly shot down by ordinary people who seem to actually know facts. She really needs to shut up or just read factual information instead of coming across as an incompetent muppet.

  • mgsevs sevs66 (@mgsevs) reported from Kirkham, England

@virginmedia This help page just walks me through what I've already done, it doesn't show me how to reset the pod

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@johntweedie @frednfrank @virginmedia It may be 30 years old. Strangely, with BT (Cable), Sky (wired), never had issues.

  • stevelthompsom Steve Thompson (@stevelthompsom) reported from Preston, England

@virginmedia new customer trying to register on your media app always comes up with an error code!!!! Not a great start......may cancel if this is how you roll ??

  • LawAspi TheAspiLawStudent (@LawAspi) reported from Chorley, England

@virginmedia @JTCHANGINGBIZ Whilst they provide a marginally better speeds than competitors their customer service is just non existent, until you say you're leaving..

  • salfordbeerfest Independent Salford Beer Festival 💙 (@salfordbeerfest) reported from Bolton, England

@virginmedia Now showing estimated "fix" time of 16:00. 21 hours without "service". This. Is. Not. Funny.

  • Cuttsrich rich cutts (@Cuttsrich) reported from Tyldesley, England

@virginmedia I've woken up to no Internet service at all, again

  • JaTeken JaTeKen 🤖 (@JaTeken) reported

My power was off for some considerable time due to the storms across the North East so obviously my Virgin Media modem was down. When it's booted back up, they gave me the same IP address again. I know VM use pseudo static addressing so thanks for ensuring I got the same address!

  • librodipendente ilenia (@librodipendente) reported

@virginmedia It's just odd you seem to have complex issues every 10-12 days since March, with broadband being unavailable for days, while other providers are perfectly fine.

  • _Donks_ Matt Sibley (@_Donks_) reported

@virginmedia And after over an hour on the phone today suddenly the guy said it is a common issue and it is because I have a 360 box as a second box . And that the technical team are working on a fix but there is no timescale on how long it would take.

  • _Donks_ Matt Sibley (@_Donks_) reported

@virginmedia Yesterday after an hour and a half on the phone I was told the back end support guys would solve the problem after 3 hours and then guy ended the call.. 12 hours later nothing was done. So I phoned again today
