Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Barnsley and nearby locations:

  • HarlamTK Tom “Harlam” King (@HarlamTK) reported from Wombwell, England

@virginmedia I’m trying to resolve an issue with your collections team regarding an incorrect default and because I no longer bank with the same account and do not have those details, they won’t talk to me, yet they are happy to just take money off me without telling me why. It’s disgusting

  • AdamPagett3 Padge 👌 (@AdamPagett3) reported from Wakefield, England

@virginmedia That checker like my service doesn't work

  • a8dullah_mulla Abdullah Mulla (@a8dullah_mulla) reported from Dewsbury, England

@virginmedia well done 👏🏽 new way of resolving complaints! Offer a resolution that you know customer won’t accept so you can pass on to an adjudicator… all in a record time of 8mins!!!

  • SamWatt30745054 Sam Watts (@SamWatt30745054) reported from Barnsley, England

@virginmedia you are aware that a lot of older, more vulnerable people have had alarm and safety devices installed that depend on a safe, fast, reliable service. The one that they, like, you know pay a lot of money for

  • guyrleech Guy Leech (@guyrleech) reported from Wakefield, England

@KevEdwardsRetro I've been with them for years (Yorkshire Cable before that) but changed to the @vmbusiness service to get 4G backup only to find that it doesn't work when their device is in modem mode. Unable to get through to them though - worst support/customer service I've ever experienced

  • AdamPagett3 Padge 👌 (@AdamPagett3) reported from Wakefield, England

@virginmedia finally after 5 days without a service no streaming tv, being unable to work from home and having to sit in Saturday teatime eaiting for engineer while family go to Halloween party It's finally fixed Now the impossible part making contact to discuss compensation

  • paul_phillips83 Paul David Phillips (@paul_phillips83) reported from Barnsley, England

@virginmedia been on hold 15 minutes your agent been back to me yet again same telling me I have to pay extra why do virgin think that if you charge extra this will fix an issue #badcustomerservice actually get it right first time to stop repeat calls

  • SamWalker03 Sam Walker (@SamWalker03) reported from Dewsbury, England

@virginmedia I’ve been hung up on three times this morning by your contact centre! All your willing to do is pass on the “feedback” do you have anyone customer service trained I can speak to ?

  • guyrleech Guy Leech (@guyrleech) reported from Wakefield, England

@vmbusiness strike yet again!😠 Not only are they charging me £7/month for 4G backup that doesn't work, they are now charging me £4 for paper bills that I never asked for. Oh, and still say I owe them money despite me overpaying due a to a red letter that they took by DD later

  • Bexwa Rebecca (@Bexwa) reported from Dewsbury, England

@virginmedia The TV that it glitches on cant reach the box to get it wired in (but its only 10 ft away) I can't hard wire my laptop in. It goes off all the time! And then keep texting me saying you are coming for the WiFi pod after speaking with customer service. Im paying a fortune for this

  • andyksheffield Andy Kershaw Media 🎙 (@andyksheffield) reported from Sheffield, England

@virginmedia @lionsgateplusuk Wish I could enjoy this but my so called 500mb service is so poor I’ve virtually been without internet for a week. Finally your team viewed it as urgent because I do work from home on Zoom and…an engineer is coming on Tuesday. When BT Reach put full fibre in my area it’s bye bye

  • jim_johnson24 Jim Johnson (@jim_johnson24) reported from Shepley, England

@virginmedia 7 days and still no @O2 resolution

  • guyrleech Guy Leech (@guyrleech) reported from Wakefield, England

@vmbusinesshelp @vmbusiness Thanks. The 4G backup not working since the service was installed

  • HarlamTK Tom “Harlam” King (@HarlamTK) reported from Wombwell, England

@virginmedia And I can’t raise a complaint on the site without having an account, which I don’t have, so that is a pointless endeavour as well

  • HarlamTK Tom “Harlam” King (@HarlamTK) reported from Wombwell, England

@virginmedia How do I open a complaint then, because I’m still stuck on the phone with her and she is refusing to let me make my complaint.

  • SamWatt30745054 Sam Watts (@SamWatt30745054) reported from Barnsley, England

@virginmedia No it didn’t help, what is the score SL V England John

  • andyksheffield Andy Kershaw Media 🎙 (@andyksheffield) reported from Sheffield, England

@StueyDay @virginmedia @lionsgateplusuk The service is awful and customers find it too hard to get a prompt response. Last time this happened it took at least 8-10 emails before they got past the automated letter asking me to switch off, reboot and check all the connections.

  • HarlamTK Tom “Harlam” King (@HarlamTK) reported from Wombwell, England

@virginmedia I tried that and that’s how I got stuck in this situation. Is there a number I can call that is DIRECT for a complaint?

  • paul_phillips83 Paul David Phillips (@paul_phillips83) reported from Barnsley, England

@virginmedia the cheek or virgin media staff complain about virgin router dropping out constantly call raise a complaint and tell them router is disconnected from network and request a hub 4 as been told this is what’s needed I get told I have to upgrade to 1 gig for new router

  • AdamPagett3 Padge 👌 (@AdamPagett3) reported from Featherstone, England

    @virginmedia @Virgin Terrible service

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • PhoebesLamb Phoebe Lamb (@PhoebesLamb) reported

Our flat burnt down on the weekend but @virginmedia are charging us £185 to cancel our contract???

  • KateBeaRubi Kate Morley (@KateBeaRubi) reported

@virginmedia I'm on my 3rd call of the day to them - still no resolution... But something has clearly gone 'awry'. I could have told them that on my call yesterday....

  • RMotti Ricardo Motti (@RMotti) reported

@virginmedia No solution. Service can only happen when lockdown is over — which is understandable. Charging for the service, of course, is not understandable.

  • Sorrell_Dowling Sorrell Dowling (@Sorrell_Dowling) reported

@MishWeaver @virginmedia Sounds awful Mish - hope @virginmedia sort this out for you :(

  • KateBeaRubi Kate Morley (@KateBeaRubi) reported

@virginmedia 'This is all I can do in my department'. So, no clue when/if we get wifi installed. Fun times... I would advise/suggest some joined up thinking, and one person dealing with things when they go wrong rather than putting the onus on the customer to clear up your mistakes

  • DerekBetts BaileyBop (@DerekBetts) reported

@virginmedia hi trying to cancel my broadband service and have called twice and thought everything was done but have received no confirmation and doesn’t look like it’s been cancelled yet. Was supposed to get a call back but it never happened, could someone look into it please?

  • tgeducation Tony Gallagher (@tgeducation) reported

@virginmedia Yes. I was in touch with you a couple of weeks ago on this very problem. Tried rebooting, tried the Forum, checked all connections. Worked fine for a couple of weeks, then fell over again last night. The Forum suggests this is a widespread problem, with no obvious solution.

  • 132starman paul corrigan (@132starman) reported

Hi all how have virgin media I have been informed today that my services are rubbish because I am out of contract and being out of contract I get a rubbish signal that's why I have my TV going into little cubes can't watch it and my wifi is useless but if I renew it will be good

  • MishWeaver MishWeaver (@MishWeaver) reported

Beyond furious. Have been trying to cancel my virgin media contract for two weeks. I have phoned, visited website, been on chat, wrote a hand written letter to the address given as the right one to write to. @virginmedia #improperpractice #outrageouscustomerdiservice

  • KateBeaRubi Kate Morley (@KateBeaRubi) reported

@virginmedia It ended there. I'm not sure what you're expecting as it's the same service I've received since signing up. When things go wrong, it should be on Virgin to assist, not just hope the customer will sort it out themselves.
