@virginmedia is there a problem with email all of a sudden? It was working this morning and now when I try to send an email from Outlook or on my iPhone, I’m told my password is wrong and when I try to log onto webmail I’m told I have no password.

@virginmedia It says there are no problems in my area!what does it take to actually speak to someone, or get a technician out to check where fault is originating from!it’s absolutely shocking!Ive worked in customer service for a good many years, and never experienced such awful service!

  • Lshire_Laird
The Lanarkshire Laird (@Lshire_Laird) reported from Motherwell, Scotland

@virginmedia Pretty sure you could be asking fir my details in a DM. Otherwise, what was the point in replying to me in the first place. Never mind, I’ll stick to keep calling.

  • Karencrafts
Karen Sime 💙 #TeamNHS (@Karencrafts) reported from Glasgow, Scotland

@MargMarvelous @virginmedia I know. Virgin is down in Glasgow but I still need a new hub as the reset button on mine is broken. I’ve been going in circles on the app and website for the best part of an hour. A simple email address would have resolved it in 5 minutes!

  • jimnimmo60
oor Jim (@jimnimmo60) reported from Airdrie, Scotland

@O2 @virginmedia probably the worst mobile phone company to deal with. Customer service is a joke. Trying to resolve fraudulent activity on my account and no understanding. Abysmal. Please go anywhere else except them. Just cut me off now.

  • Lshire_Laird
The Lanarkshire Laird (@Lshire_Laird) reported from Motherwell, Scotland

So @virginmedia broadband and tv appears to be down (again) for hours and their webpage to check service status is offline. I’m currently having to connect my work laptop to my personal phone just to work. This is not good!

  • nuttynanaannie

@virginmedia Hi, thank you for replying. I can't see where to register. I did another service check and it says an intermittent service fault is affecting my area. But gives no guidance/option to register for loss of service. Guidance please.

@virginmedia Yeah but then I realised you can't use a 192.168.1.x network with the hub either 🙃 so sadly into modem mode it goes.

  • nuttynanaannie
Anne Marie McPhee (@nuttynanaannie) reported from Motherwell, Scotland

@virginmedia For the past 5 days I've had limited Tivo use and no access to apos at all in Ml15hd also no Internet 90%of the time. Virgins site says they're working in my area to fix this by 20th October. So will I get a reduction on bill for a week of no service.

  • spongebath63
Willem_Wikkelspies (@spongebath63) reported from Dennistoun, Scotland

  • ChristianBunga7

@virginmedia The ‘step by step help’ doesn’t help. It tells me thing I already know - restart hub check connections, reset.

  • weeshug72

@virginmedia why just you just call me under the guise of "offering me a discount on my services" then offer me a deal that means me paying for an extra service I don't currently use or want?

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • LOCthedreamer2
    Luke O' Connor (@LOCthedreamer2) reported

It's a scandal that these media companies spend your money in order to try and influence how you think. Virgin Media received 3 million euro worth of state grants from Coimisiún na Meain last year. They would never think of doing a documentary on how immigration has negatively impacted the economy or society, which is why it is so galling to see them propagandise the immigration scam in Ireland. #HowIrelandWorks

  • Notts52
    Mo (@Notts52) reported

@virginmedia DM about what? From my post you have my details, the situation that repeats and repeats and repeats. None of this happened until VM decided that you would make changes for better security by having the VMO2 p'word. Is this problem just us or are others affected? #virginmedia #O2

@virginmedia when I press the red button to access sky sports plus I no longer receive an error message. Has my box been successfully updated to fix this issue and I should now expect no further issues from this incident? Thanks @Virgin

  • GazzaAdams
    Gary Adams (@GazzaAdams) reported

@virginmedia I need this escalated as a formal complaint regarding fault **F012421201**, because the information Virgin Media is providing has now become demonstrably contradictory. At **08:01 today, 20 August**, Virgin Media told me: “Our engineer is on site and they're working to fix the problem.” The estimated repair time given was **18:00 today**. At **15:27 today**, after I have been without service for most of the day, Virgin Media has now told me: “We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way.” The estimated repair time has also been moved to **14:10 tomorrow, 21 August**. These statements cannot both accurately describe the progress of the same fault. An engineer who was already **on site and working on the problem at 08:01** cannot subsequently be **“on their way” at 15:27** without some explanation. I fully understand that a complex network fault may take longer to repair than initially anticipated, and that estimated restoration times can change. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that Virgin Media is repeatedly providing contradictory factual information about the status of the repair, while I remain without the service I am paying for. I consequently have no confidence in the estimated restoration times being provided. Please therefore: 1. **Log this as a formal complaint and provide me with the complaint reference.** 2. Confirm the actual current status of fault **F012421201**, rather than repeating the automated status information. 3. Explain how an engineer could be reported as on site and working at 08:01 but “on their way” at 15:27. 4. Confirm when the outage affecting my service officially began and that the full period of loss of service has been recorded against my account. 5. Confirm what automatic compensation I will be entitled to for the complete loss of service, where applicable. I have retained screenshots of the outage updates and their timestamps. Please respond to the specific points above rather than sending me another automated repair estimate.

@virginmedia A recent software update for Virgin TV 360 and Stream boxes intentionally changed the startup behavior so the box now boots directly to the Home screen instead of the last watched channel. This update aims to give you quicker access to your apps, recordings, and recommendations. It's all a social media. Everyone hates it. Do you take feedback from? Your customer
