@virginmedia Still no landline service to home and neighbour similarly. It’s been close on 24hrs - pretty irritated that there is no information coming proactively from your team to be honest but appreciate the social team’s responsiveness to my contact

  • fleetsaints
Steve Jones (@fleetsaints) reported from Fleet, England

@virginmedia Yes. Turned it off. Unplugged everything & put it all back in and still we get intermittent issues.

  • pears0
gonzo (@pears0) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia so, I've been trying for over 3 hours now to cancel my contract and absolutely no progress made so far!!! 3 hours. Surely this is a breach of ofcoms rules to make cancellation a reasonably quick and easy process!?

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@Firesnapper999 @virginmedia It’s really frustrating; the third technician was brilliant, replaced everything almost like a new install and it worked great for just over a week. Now the status site says everything is good whilst a call to support says it isn’t. #Grrr

@virginmedia Awful customer service. And it is virgins fault. They offer the referral offer. Not the 3rd party company.

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Hi AR, I was given no time at all, only that there were ongoing issues the last two weeks then he said 7-10 days. He said you were working on it, it would be fixed but no timescale. 15 days of unreliable BB is awful. Have had 100% outages of up to 36 hours.

CM40 (@CM40UK) reported from Blackwater, England

@virginmedia Yes I have on multiple occasions, I have just been taking to engineer who running the 30 day test, while taking to him I had 3 lost connection issues. Your employees are trying say that I will have to pay to leave my contract, @Ofcom state, I can leave without penalty

  • pears0
gonzo (@pears0) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia We are sorry you are still waiting to be connected to one of the team. Our wait times are very high at the moment due to an unprecedented demand to speak to the team & we are experiencing some issues with our internal systems. This may mean a delay in being transferred to one of

@virginmedia Promised date someone to sort external connections come and gone and still same s*****. Can’t believe 4 weeks and nobody can’t fix it. 🤔I think something is fishy @virginmedia get it sorted

  • flyingjok
John Neilson (@flyingjok) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia Worst part of it @virginmedia is the way your customer service team speaks to customers. Quite appalling and in my experience always approached on basis that the customer is wrong. It consistently bad - to be told you don’t send texts when I clearly had two texts quite insulting!

  • adimarlow
Adrienne (@adimarlow) reported from Camberley, England

Switched to @virginmedia broadband in Nov ‘20 and agreed to pay more per month than I was paying before just to get reliable broadband. Now I find myself never using the Wi-Fi at home and the kids having to use my phone data to complete school lessons and work as it is SO BAD 😡

  • flyingjok
John Neilson (@flyingjok) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia Thanks for getting the internet sorted but any reason why there is still no phone service or any information to explain?

  • gerimcc
GeraldineMcCambridge (@gerimcc) reported from Aldershot, England

Becky Morrish (@BeckyMorrish13) reported from Camberley, England

Useless service from @virginmedia called 2 discuss package options on hold for ages the agent says he was trying to help them puts me on hold then put the phone down. If their customer service is like that I think I’ll try give someone else a go @skytv can you do better?

  • KGirdler
Katie Girdler (@KGirdler) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia Spoken with someone today that has confirmed they've solved my problem. I am awaiting a confirmation email (don't hold much hope). We will see if I've been lied to AGAIN! #worstcustomerservice

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

Dear diary, day 16 of poor/zero broadband. I called @VirginMedia, joined a queue, cooked, served & ate dinner, started watching The Simpsons then after 48 minutes of Jake Bugg and some other repetitive on-hold phone entertainment, they cut me off!

  • DHPrevention

@Ofcom Good! It's the sneaky snaky foreign (South Asian) call handlers. It's bad enough they can hardly speak English. @virginmedia

  • CliveDaviesUK
    🇺🇦 Clive Davies #FBPE 🔶🇬🇧🇪🇺🇭🇰 (@CliveDaviesUK) reported

.@virginmedia So 2 days with no TV, no broadband, no landline and an @o2 mobile with no signal. A fix date of 15th July!!!? Zero means of communication. Totally unreliable. What a dreadful company you are. So pleased you got fined. When will this be fixed?

  • Chrismtson
    Chris (@Chrismtson) reported

@Ofcom Still can’t get in contact with customer service today either via webchat and phone calls @virginmedia

  • hopskipjumpy
    Xmarksthespot (@hopskipjumpy) reported

@MatthewStadlen @virginmedia Virgin Media are the single most useless, duplicitous, awful company on the planet. I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

  • Gary_Freemantle
     Gary Freemantle (@Gary_Freemantle) reported

@virginmedia in light of @Ofcom ruling, will you now be refunding the 6 months you continued to take from my bank account by DD after I moved house and cancelled out of contract? Especially as even after a 4 hour call you were still transferring me to ‘someone who could help’

  • SarahLudford
    Sarah Ludford 🇬🇧 🇮🇪🇪🇺 🇺🇦 (@SarahLudford) reported

@Ofcom “@virginmedia made it harder for customers to cancel their contracts and then did not fully cooperate with our investigation. ‘As a result, we are levelling our largest ever fine under our consumer protection rules for direct harm to consumers’.”

  • HinsdaleNH
    Hinsdale, New Hamster (@HinsdaleNH) reported

@SSyskey @virginmedia That sucks. Hope they get you straightened out before too long. 🤞

  • kestrel89B
    Liam (@kestrel89B) reported

@itvnews To be honest it is so difficult to speak to a human at @virginmedia I'm not surprised anyone could cancel their contracts. #virginmedia

  • TMSH71
Steve Williams Fan Club (@TMSH71) reported

@BBCBreaking If you think Virgin Media are bad, Virgin Mobile were beyond useless, so much so they 'joined forces' with O2. Good riddance to bad rubbish

  • CowdrillEmma
    Emma Cowdrill (@CowdrillEmma) reported

@virginmedia my vulnerable 90 yr old mother is one of those caught up in the tactics that caused you to be fined 28m by Ofcom. I still cannot extricate her from her contract or get through to someone who will help. I can't even do the basics and set up a DD!
