  • TheonlyJonesy
Martyn Jones (@TheonlyJonesy) reported from Fleet, England

@virginmedia don’t worry about supplying a service that I can use to work from home, I’d much rather leave the house in a pandemic to access stable broadband...!!!

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

‘ere, @VirginMedia, it’s been a full month now of totally unreliable service at my house; 5 engineers later, with the last call to 0345 454 111 on Friday saying you KNOW there’s a problem and it WILL be fixed in 24 hours. I called bullshit. I was right. Sort this out!!!

@virginmedia I’m asking your team whether they want to do anything to match that to keep a customer but I keep connecting someone new & around I go again. Happy to DM or take a call from someone

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@Binky_2301 @virginmedia The service was pretty reliable until now 19 days ago. Their status tool says no issues yet an engineer told me there were. And that they were fixing it. Been watching Twitter and it’s been an issue with folks all over the country.

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Hi, yep. It’s been poor for over 4 days and non-existent for nearly 36 hours. Yes, I’ve checked BB status, it’s supposedly OK, yes I’ve rebooted, yes I’ve factory reset, multiple times. Still no BB. Still have to go to office, no choice unfortunately. No BB = Big health risk🙁

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

Dear diary, day 16 of poor/zero broadband. I called @VirginMedia, joined a queue, cooked, served & ate dinner, started watching The Simpsons then after 48 minutes of Jake Bugg and some other repetitive on-hold phone entertainment, they cut me off!

  • flyingjok
John Neilson (@flyingjok) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia Still no landline service to home and neighbour similarly. It’s been close on 24hrs - pretty irritated that there is no information coming proactively from your team to be honest but appreciate the social team’s responsiveness to my contact

  • rohaaminho
Najm Khan (@rohaaminho) reported from Farnborough, England

Had the worst internet day ever. Never use Utility Warehouse or whoever own the line around here which is @virginmedia

  • fleetsaints
Steve Jones (@fleetsaints) reported from Fleet, England

Changed from sky broadband to @virginmedia seriously didn’t think it could be worse. How wrong I was. Utterly shocking broadband. Lost count of the number of times on the last 48 hours we’ve lost service.

  • mattrose18
Matt Rose (@mattrose18) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia TV is an issue. broadband is not. Tests are always either cannot connect at this time or say there is nothing wrong. Don’t see how my kit in the house can one minute have speeds on +300Mb to next to nothing?

  • rattyliveshere
Kim Ronaldson (@rattyliveshere) reported from Guildford, England

Hi @virginmedia You “help” isn’t helpful at all. How do I get to a human for support on my Virgin landline please? Frustrated from Guildford

Dear @VirginMedia, are there problems in the GU14 area? Because the reliability of broadband here has been appalling since at least Thursday/Friday. You really need to sort it out, I have to WFH and my daughter needs to connect with her school.

  • tashaj1984

@virginmedia I have posted but not sure how a forum post will help. Can you advise of your official escalation complaint process

@virginmedia Yes, it has happened yet again today. Not working at all. Rebooted several times. As usual App says no problems in the area. Happens every 4-6 weeks. Then we call virgin and wait 5-8 days for an engineer! Then it comes back on b4 engineer turns up.!

  • stelz_o
    stelz✨🇬🇭 (@stelz_o) reported

@virginmedia We have! We even got a text Message today saying service has been restored, yet I still am not able to work from home fully.

  • Malcolm_Sillick
    Malcolm Sillick (@Malcolm_Sillick) reported

@London_W4 The trouble is that O2 are now in bed with Virgin Media, who also have dreadful Indian 'Tech Support', who can't sort anying out and just read from scripts. Like many companies these days, if you can even find a phone number, they just give loads of messages, telling you to go to their website. The UK could do with a dose of American style customer service!!

  • samtilston
    Sam Tilston (@samtilston) reported

This isn't just a bad press cycle for Virgin Media O2. We are tracking a specific pattern of synthetic 'outage' reports designed to trigger algorithmic short-selling and erode public trust in UK telecoms infrastructure during a sensitive regulatory window.

@virginmedia Hi , I’m really disappointed for the customer service standard, I have been charged twice double my bill and I have contacted the customer service team they promised me to solve the problem and call me back in week time. Somehow now more than 10 days and no one call
