@virginmedia is there a bandwidth issue in the network? I’m in Fleet, Hampshire #patchy #slow

  • M_Coneley
MissB (@M_Coneley) reported from Fernhurst, England

@virginmedia No it’s not an end of contract discount being removed, worrying if it was since the increase is just £4., it’s for investing in service improvement. The point I was making, which seems to have been missed, is the current service keeps failing & def not close to 99% reliable

  • psjarlo
_jarl_ostensen (@psjarlo) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia Service status is all green, which is wrong because there is known maintenance work happening. My point is that planned work should happen over night to reduce impact.

  • sturooo
Stuart Ross (@sturooo) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia really loved spending almost an hour and a half on the phone to get cut off and the promised call back if that happened not happening. I just want to cancel my contract

Dear diary, day 16 of poor/zero broadband. I called @VirginMedia, joined a queue, cooked, served & ate dinner, started watching The Simpsons then after 48 minutes of Jake Bugg and some other repetitive on-hold phone entertainment, they cut me off!

  • CM40UK
CM40 (@CM40UK) reported from Blackwater, England

@virginmedia Sadly I am not, as I have never any compensation for the lost of my connection, I lost Wi-Fi for about hour yesterday but as normal virgin media are not up holding its guarantee. I an@self-employed and the one thing I rely on is my internet connection.

  • robmcewan1966
Rob McEwan (@robmcewan1966) reported from Finchampstead, England

@virginmedia Truly astounding. I have spent hours trying to get virgin to actually carry out promises made and we’re still not there. I’ll swear the customer services reps I speak to are under so much pressure to move on to the next call they make it up as they go.

Chantelle Newton (@chantelle_ukccf) reported from Farnborough, England

I’ve had to write this as I think the virgin media wireless hub is rubbish, since lockdown I’ve had to reset my router several times a day as we keep losing signal, to the point I’ve gone out and bought my own router and I’m now using modem mode, please fix your rubbish routers!!

@virginmedia I have followed every instruction as advised. Turned off, set, check status and even network issue in area.. it just keeps dropping out daily with no know issues. It’s as if faster broadband has actually slowed it all down! Pse sort it out

  • pears0
gonzo (@pears0) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia We are sorry you are still waiting to be connected to one of the team. Our wait times are very high at the moment due to an unprecedented demand to speak to the team & we are experiencing some issues with our internal systems. This may mean a delay in being transferred to one of

@virginmedia brand new customer coming from sky (after bad service) and received awful customer service from you! I certainly will not be recommending virgin media.

  • flyingjok
John Neilson (@flyingjok) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia Worst part of it @virginmedia is the way your customer service team speaks to customers. Quite appalling and in my experience always approached on basis that the customer is wrong. It consistently bad - to be told you don’t send texts when I clearly had two texts quite insulting!

@ProfChocCaXe @virginmedia Nothing personal? How much more personal than intimating you know my mother's cause of death can you be? Having gone through 3 months of trauma watching her die a slow and painful death, how welcome do you suppose your comments are? I am grieving her loss and people like you are the lowest of the low.

  • CarlBateman
    Carl Bateman (@CarlBateman) reported

@virginmedia My landline has had no dial tone for over a month and my repeated attempts to talk to an representative have failed, there's no live chat option and your "fix your landline" page is a joke with only three options. And why no call back option? How can I get help?

  • ScarlettShaw
    Scarlett Shaw (@ScarlettShaw) reported

@virginmedia Unless you’re going to assist me in fixing your software updates, I don’t see what you can do. But it’s a big problem not being able to rely on your box to record what I’ve asked it to because your constant software updates keeps wiping them.

@virginmedia What is it with the total indifference shown by virgin media? Service is down and we get three different timescales to fix it! They have obviously forgotten that we customers pay for their company

@PeteUK7 @virginmedia I recently had British Gas apologise for not carrying out my mother's boiler service. She died in 2020.

  • perfectme1122
    PerfectMe (@perfectme1122) reported

@virginmedia Called to cancel contract. Given offer of £32 for 2 years. Checked contract to find it rose to £36 in April ‘27 and £40 in April ‘28. Customer service rep insisted it was inflation rise but contract states it’s in addition to. Contract now cancelled after 15+yrs 😕.
