@virginmedia hey there - lost all connectivity at home suddenly this morning and can’t get through to any of your helpline numbers. Is there problem in GU15 3HY area. Can’t understand why 150 and external numbers are either not connecting or just showing as constantly unavailable

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

Dear @VirginMedia, after 3x visits from technicians over 6 months (one of whom LIED about fixing bb/WiFi) I’m now back to no service (48 hours). Yes, tried rebooting, off/on etc, status says everything OK, Called yesterday and there IS an issue. When are you going to fix it?

  • M_Coneley
MissB (@M_Coneley) reported from Fernhurst, England

@virginmedia No it’s not an end of contract discount being removed, worrying if it was since the increase is just £4., it’s for investing in service improvement. The point I was making, which seems to have been missed, is the current service keeps failing & def not close to 99% reliable

  • jjjjxxx
janet arias-ball (@jjjjxxx) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia time to leave, you’re staff are wonderful individuals that spend hours trying to help your customers but at the end of the day you don’t care about your customers. Wonder what other providers are going to step in and help?

  • terrygparrott
TGP (@terrygparrott) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Broadband in GU14 is up and down like a "****** draws". I pay for 350 Mbps but am getting much less than that. I've rebooted and reset my Hub 3, please sort it out!

  • flyingjok
John Neilson (@flyingjok) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia Your web site is not very helpful really - apparently the fault will be rectified by 08.40 this morning. Understand technical problems arise but it’s surely much better to provide proactive updates rather than to react in receipt of complaints?

  • fleetsaints
Steve Jones (@fleetsaints) reported from Fleet, England

@virginmedia Yes. Turned it off. Unplugged everything & put it all back in and still we get intermittent issues.

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

‘ere, @VirginMedia, it’s been a full month now of totally unreliable service at my house; 5 engineers later, with the last call to 0345 454 111 on Friday saying you KNOW there’s a problem and it WILL be fixed in 24 hours. I called bullshit. I was right. Sort this out!!!

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@GuseensLV @virginmedia Ah man, I’m with ya. 350MB here was fab until 16 days ago. Been “OK” today, had a relatively stable connection but it never crept over 10MB and that was if I was lucky *sigh*

  • AlisonJaneWilso
Alison Jane Wilson (@AlisonJaneWilso) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia truly awful company stuck in the dark ages why would you trust them with broadband when after 3 months notice to quit they take full payment and then you have to apply for a refund !!! Company run by dinosaurs looking for opportunities to rip you off when leaving !

  • rattyliveshere
Kim Ronaldson (@rattyliveshere) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia thank you for the reply... my home number is ex-directory and has been for years, how do i cancel this service please?

  • terrygparrott
TGP (@terrygparrott) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia I'm paying for 350 Mbps and getting less than 100, very poor now. You website says no problems so its telling porkies!

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Hi, yep. It’s been poor for over 4 days and non-existent for nearly 36 hours. Yes, I’ve checked BB status, it’s supposedly OK, yes I’ve rebooted, yes I’ve factory reset, multiple times. Still no BB. Still have to go to office, no choice unfortunately. No BB = Big health risk🙁

  • MarkWhiteley
Prof Mark Whiteley (@MarkWhiteley) reported from Godalming, England

@virginmedia No - Still cannot get anyone to cancel the contract and send a final bill - even though I moved 3 weeks ago and wrote to you 5 weeks ago!!!!!

  • mattrose18
Matt Rose (@mattrose18) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia TV is an issue. broadband is not. Tests are always either cannot connect at this time or say there is nothing wrong. Don’t see how my kit in the house can one minute have speeds on +300Mb to next to nothing?

  • woodyturts
Alex Turton (@woodyturts) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia hey, it’s been slow going on broadband in GU14 since Tuesday.

  • kirstyrosenunn
Kirsty Nunn (@kirstyrosenunn) reported from Guildford, England

Hey @virginmedia @virginhelp can you have a look at your wifi service in the Guildford area? It’s been patchy for weeks, now have had no connection on any device for the past 24 hours; as someone who works and studies from home a lot, this is quite worrying and frustrating

  • Vikk3rs146
    Mark vix (@Vikk3rs146) reported

@virginmedia And you’ve got the nerve to want £200 for early termination yet I’ve never got a penny from you for losing service consistently..literally been with you since you were called Eurobell .

  • Lord_Arse
    Lord Arse! (@Lord_Arse) reported

@markrmifsud @virginmedia Oh, back down again since 9:30pm. Looks like we were one of the lucky ones who were able to use our services for a day. Would be nice to know what the actual issue is @virginmedia? Some people have had no service for days now in our postcode.

  • StevieJ____
    Steven Jackson (@StevieJ____) reported

@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Why did you not just log a formal complaint then go to the ombudsman when they say they won't let you leave without paying the fees? The ombudsman would clearly side with you and you probably would have already been with a new provider by now

  • MarkTHFC92
    Mark (@MarkTHFC92) reported

@virginmedia Hey, is there legit an area issue in PR5 8JE? Your test page often just makes stuff up. Having issues today so want to know if its me or you

  • MelG54321
    Mel54321 (@MelG54321) reported

@virginmedia services down in my whole area since Thursday night. Only got a message at 18.30 yesterday that they had an engineer on site. Child trying to revise for their GCSEs has no Internet access.

  • daddytoatribe
    Kyle (@daddytoatribe) reported

@virginmedia If you can offer a deal to a new customer you should be able to offer the same deal for existing customers. This is why your retention rate is diabolical because the introductory offers expire and the new offer is 300% more than what they was paying. Should be illegal

  • stewiejohn2
    Danger Mouse 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (@stewiejohn2) reported

@Tony_Minter @OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Yes you are correct. I was thinking of a delay to service starting. The latest increase means that providers will now need to pay out £10.34 per day for delayed repairs, £32.31 for missed appointments and £6.46 per day for a delay to the start of a new service.

  • Inforder
    🇬🇧🇨🇳🇮🇱🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (@Inforder) reported

@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia For a media company they are extraordinary bad at being able to communicate, had them once-never again.

  • Mr_ITellYah
    JFT97 (@Mr_ITellYah) reported

@virginmedia The issue is it’s not the Tivo box. Also, recording series is not as straight forward like on the Tivo box. None of the features on it are particularly great. Tivo box is just all around better. 360 is a downgrade!
