  • hoarp001
Peter ***** (@hoarp001) reported from Fleet, England

@virginmedia my broadband is running at 10mbps (supposed to be 200). The app has done a "scan" and it says there is a network error and check back in 24 hours. Problem is, it's still slow three days later and there appears to be no more help on offer. Now what?

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Hi, yep. It’s been poor for over 4 days and non-existent for nearly 36 hours. Yes, I’ve checked BB status, it’s supposedly OK, yes I’ve rebooted, yes I’ve factory reset, multiple times. Still no BB. Still have to go to office, no choice unfortunately. No BB = Big health risk🙁

  • pears0
gonzo (@pears0) reported from Camberley, England

@virginmedia so, I've been trying for over 3 hours now to cancel my contract and absolutely no progress made so far!!! 3 hours. Surely this is a breach of ofcoms rules to make cancellation a reasonably quick and easy process!?

  • KGirdler
Katie Girdler (@KGirdler) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia Spoken with someone today that has confirmed they've solved my problem. I am awaiting a confirmation email (don't hold much hope). We will see if I've been lied to AGAIN! #worstcustomerservice

  • sturooo
Stuart Ross (@sturooo) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia really loved spending almost an hour and a half on the phone to get cut off and the promised call back if that happened not happening. I just want to cancel my contract

  • KGirdler
Katie Girdler (@KGirdler) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia What a surprise still no call from you that I was promised! I can't believe this is how you treat new customers!

  • terrygparrott
TGP (@terrygparrott) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia I'm paying for 350 Mbps and getting less than 100, very poor now. You website says no problems so its telling porkies!

  • pmross
Paul Mackenzie Ross (@pmross) reported from Farnborough, England

@virginmedia Thanks. Done that. Multiple times. And over the last 6 months. And when I was an ntl: customer. And CableTel before that. 27 years of 56k > 350Mb and now it’s totally doing my head in. Unable to work from home properly. Boss won’t be happy!

  • StuRobsonFrisby
Stuart Robson-Frisby (Ivanti) (@StuRobsonFrisby) reported from Yateley, England

@virginmedia No broadband in GU46 7RR... is this part of the outage as have seen others in the area with issues but your website says no issues reported?

@virginmedia I have followed every instruction as advised. Turned off, set, check status and even network issue in area.. it just keeps dropping out daily with no know issues. It’s as if faster broadband has actually slowed it all down! Pse sort it out

  • danjsaunders
Daniel Saunders (@danjsaunders) reported from Guildford, England

@virginmedia Yes this was one of the first things we tried. Ended up having a repull after two engineer visits, but still not fixed the issue. How about trying a new hub?

@ndabas @TLRailUK More interesting IMO – the IP address 80.0.1.0 belongs to Virgin Media (as part of 80.0.0.0/13). I wonder if the PIS uses VM, or if they're just using public IP space on a private network and hoping for the best?

@virginmedia Don’t go to Virgin there internet has been **** for weeks I have got in contact with them and they have done nothing what a ******* joke (stay away)🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

  • SprocketEtQuill
    Sam Greenland (@SprocketEtQuill) reported

This week I’ve learnt a lesson. Resilience in AI Agents isn’t just about model provider Vs local hosting. This week @virginmedia accidentally cut my internet connection and it’ll be a week before they can fix it. I’m buying a 5G router so the baby monitors still work because that’s a safety concern! The router will also bring the Mac Mini back online so two of my three agents will be back. The third agent is on a laptop at work so they’re still up anyway. Resilience baked in was a good strategy, but it will get better still. There’s always room for improvement?

@virginmedia hello, I’ve been having WiFi problems for some time now. I already have a WiFi pod in the home but if I move it then we get another dead spot. I have called about this but was told that I need to have a speed test below 30mbps.

Virgin Media broke their agreement, then breached the formal complaint resolution about it within 6 days. Their own staff told me the complaints process has "limitations" and to take it to social media. So here we are 🧵
