The latest in the ongoing, and frankly unbelievable saga, between myself and @bt_uk sees them keep me on hold before simply cutting me off. Weve had over a week of no Internet, unfulfilled promises of return calls, unfulfilled promises of service restoration, and an approach to

@bt_uk No known issue. Since there was BT van outside my home doing some sort of upgrade on the copper wires of the area. Internet been very poor. Already replaced router twice. When gaming on PC with ethernet cable plug in and someone makes a WhatsApp call my ping spikes to 500ms!
-
melodiouscode (@melodiouscode) reported from Bristol, England
Does anyone know if the "hub" provided by @bt_uk for their 900mb broadband can be put in modem mode so it can work with custom network equipment (in my case a unifi security gateway). I don't want their WiFi, etc: my gear is better!
-
Daniel Fry (@DanielFry23) reported from Filton, England
@AS_FootyReview @bt_uk Virgin is the same mate in Bradley Stoke . Most days it’***** and miss, it’s got to be down to the new builds going up and over loading the network locally
-
Katherine Thomasset (@Kaththomasset) reported from Bristol, England
.@bt_uk not impressed that we’ve been without broadband for 4.5 days now - our timeline has said since Thurs that problem should be corrected by today, but no update and massive phone queues - what’s going on?
-
Greg (Big Bernie) MW7BUF 🏴 🇵🇸 (@BigBernie4) reported from St. Julians, Wales

-
John Crabtree (@jocra14) reported from Clevedon, England
@Tonysmini @OpenreachHelp @bt_uk It was until last weekend but now it’s flashing. I’m told the issue is that Openreach have the wrong s/n attached to the property and Bt give them the correct one but it doesn’t get updated
-
James Moss (@UKEmpLawyer) reported from Allt-yr-Yn, Wales
@omitbdf @bt_uk The person I spoke to from @bt_uk, who eventually called me back, did not know what LOS meant on the Openreach ONT. I had to Google it & informed him it meant Loss of Signal. Pathetic service so far - we still have no WiFi.
-
Daniel Fry (@DanielFry23) reported from Filton, England
@bt_uk No need to Matt, appreciate your concerns I’m just saying your service currently is the same level as virgin media who I’m with which always cuts in and hot. Too many users using the overcrowded boxes
-
Katherine Thomasset (@Kaththomasset) reported from Bristol, England
.@bt_uk still without internet after a week, and no sign of the engineer who was supposed to be with us between 1 and 6 today. We received a message saying the problem was fixed but it definitely isn’t!
-
Greg (Big Bernie) 🏴 (@BigBernie4) reported from Bristol, England
So, after a week of no Internet, unreturned calls, promises of service resumption that have come to nothing, @bt_uk 's promise to send an engineer to me today between 1pm and 6pm has, probably rather predictably, been broken. No engineer. Still no service. I'm beyond frustrated.
-
Gwen (@edwardsgwen) reported from Keynsham, England
@bt_uk In the meantime, all 50+ households keep paying full price. Awesome! How many years do we have to ensure this intermittent, shoddy service we pay you for?
-
Emma Shepherd (@partyfairy) reported from Alveston, England
@bt_uk But surely when both yourselves and @OpenreachHelp have made multiple errors, from day 1, costing your customer money, things should be escalated and sorted out. It's now been over a month of broken promises and mistakes.
-
Jonathan Holmes (@JHolmesEsq) reported from Bristol, England
@bt_uk I’ve found an old router in my house - can I send it back to you for recycling if I’m not a BT customer?
-
John Crabtree (@jocra14) reported from Clevedon, England
@Tonysmini @OpenreachHelp @bt_uk We were supposed to have an engineer visit on the 18 Dec 2020 and that never happened. I asked BT to arrange an engineer last week and they said no need.
-
Moomat (@moomatahico) reported from Bristol, England
Hey @bt_uk when do I get a refund from my abominable internet? It's been terrible for six months. I think you should give me the service I've paid for, or compensation.
-
Greg (Big Bernie) 🏴 (@BigBernie4) reported from Bristol, England
I mean, I know all about utter incompetence, I spent 25 years on the railway where we managed to run a service despite incompetent management. But @bt_uk have taken it to a new level. So @westcountrybird , clinically vulnerable in these strange times, will have to continue going

@VintageDidier @SkySports @btsport We pay a lot of money to watch #PremierLeague & #UCL football on your channels, We deserve better than ex pro's who if they have any knowledge fail to pass it on to the viewer. Just because someone was once a decent player doesn't mean they are any good at tv.

@bt_uk hey guys how do I go with switching to your full fiber without the landline rental? Your customer service told me that it not possible but why do I have to pay for landline rental when I get full fibre which is independent of phone line?

My internet is still flakey but @bt_uk are fixing it now (there's been a number of complex faults & bad luck). I recommend messaging them on social media. They got me in touch with the right people in the company & it seems to be a good & decent social media team running it.
