  • nicholasjemetta Nicholas Jemetta (@nicholasjemetta) reported from Hitchin, England

@virginmedia I’m trying to help my mother-in-law who’s a registered cater, with her broadband. Her wi-fi signal is very patchy and it’s causing her problems (plus unnecessary extra stress). She has a Hub 3; can she get a Hub 4 without upgrading to Gig 1?

  • cdyer98 Claire Dyer ⚯͛ ⁷ (@cdyer98) reported from Great Shelford, England

@virginmedia internet down in cb22 . system checker says nothing is wrong and fiancé is fast asleep (and knows all the passwords) so can’t get through to report the issue- usual 12.30 drop (5mins ish) happened and then it cut off completely at 4.20am

  • PigsIggle Iggle Piggle Guinea Pigs (@PigsIggle) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia service is rubbish , I pay £90 a month for flms to buffer every 3 seconds ..so frustrating

  • Jagercraig Craig (@Jagercraig) reported from Saint Neots, England

@virginmedia can you help? Recently got broadband with you and my iPhone won’t stay connected

  • Jagercraig Craig (@Jagercraig) reported from Saint Neots, England

@virginmedia I’m not free from my awful contract with @VodafoneUK until 13/12/21, I’ve changed delivery date to be 11/12/21, but there’s nothing to say my contract will start then, can you help?

  • maggietodd10 maggie.todd@live.co. (@maggietodd10) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia We can’t use landline because of fault. Tried mobile - no response. We shouldn’t have to keep reporting. You know there is a problem. Fix it please.

  • Tranquil_Maria Maria-Luisa Prezio (@Tranquil_Maria) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Changing a minor detail impossible!!!

  • Claydon8Tim tim (@Claydon8Tim) reported from Hitchin, England

@virginmedia Sorry. That’s it. Sorry. Yes I’ve checked and the WiFi is now working. I also checked and I’ll still be billed the full amount for a 2nd rate service that doesn’t in anyway match your glitzy empty advertising campaigns.

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia It’s not specific to me; and to be honest I’m not really bothered. The problem is your marketing 5G phones in areas that don’t have 5G which is affectively mis-selling. Probably something you should look into.

  • PC_Lawyer Chris Belcher (@PC_Lawyer) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia broadband down again in SG6 ... makes home working a pretty frustrating experience!

  • luciddreamphoto Lucid Dream Pictures (@luciddreamphoto) reported from Hitchin, England

@virginmedia No known issues on everything (broadband tv & phone)

  • pgull1975 Paul Gull (@pgull1975) reported from Saffron Walden, England

@virginmedia I’ve spoken to someone who had previously chased this for me and he is still waiting on confirmation of change to residential property. He did say that once confirmed there could be another two weeks before installation. Will I be compensated for lack of service?

  • luciddreamphoto Lucid Dream Pictures (@luciddreamphoto) reported from Hitchin, England

@virginmedia I’ll ring your call centre again tomorrow. When I’m paying nearly £65 a month for a service I’m not getting I don’t really feel I should have to post to a online community forum to solve the problem. A Virgin tech should come to my home & fix it!

  • Jagercraig Craig (@Jagercraig) reported from Saint Neots, England

@virginmedia Ok I’ve ordered, but didn’t see the option to change delivery date, can you help?

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@AdamDea29742908 @virginmedia But buying one between £50 and £200 will probably suit most and if it turns out it doesn’t solve your problems it hasn’t broken the bank. I went for an Asus one at about £120. Netgear is another strong brand. I had poor WiFi for years and it was a massive improvement. 2/2

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@Lindzell_LFC @virginmedia It’s their router. All the calls in the world won’t change the problem. You can buy a new router abs connect it to the Virgin one. Worked for me.

  • jasondflynn Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia @mouthwaite Hi John; just jumping in on this. You really need to start advising customers properlyit doesn’t matter how many technicians visit it won’t solve the problem of the poor standard router and your default settings.

  • maggietodd10 maggie.todd@live.co. (@maggietodd10) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia This problem was reported 11th November 2021. You promised to correct the problem by 18th November.

  • maggietodd10 maggie.todd@live.co. (@maggietodd10) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@virginmedia Landline is still NOT working. Try ringing yourself.

  • Claydon8Tim tim (@Claydon8Tim) reported from Hitchin, England

@virginmedia I have been forced to work from home and work internationally. For the past 48hrs your WiFi has been down in Hertfordshire. Completely. Have been unable to work and have thus lost money. Get a costumer service that works or I will take my business elsewhere

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Elise755 Elise75 (@Elise755) reported

@virginmedia For fibre broadband to go down Every. Single. Day (without fail) there must be something seriously wrong with either your network or your maintenance of it. Useless.

  • Ashton_Akai Erik / Ashton_Akai (@Ashton_Akai) reported

Hi @virginmedia would love to find out more about this fault that has appeared in my area. My connection was fine until after some engineers seemed to be doing something near my home and now I have no connection. I've had to cancel meetings and now can't work.

  • bozinblue Chris bostock (@bozinblue) reported

@virginmedia We have tried all of this. It hasn’t worked since 28/11, totally unacceptable. No local problems either. My TiVo v6 box will not connect to the virgin servers at all. It just mitigates and then fails. Please can this be rectified, keep getting to 65 minute calls and it drops out

  • TimmyLeeOwens Timmy10P (@TimmyLeeOwens) reported

@virginmedia The automated number says my line has been activated. If I tree get through to speak to someone I’m still on the line after 90 mins so gave up.. very poor phone service.

Trying to get through to @skytv is like drinking tea from a chocolate teapot. **** and impossible. Ffs. Is @virginmedia any better

@virginmedia the service is again a joke !!

  • LeedsinSalford LEEDSinSalford™ 💙💛 (@LeedsinSalford) reported

@virginmedia why does it take you crooks over 5 months to issue a refund after cancellation of a contract. We’ve lost count of the number of times you’ve promised repayment. @MartinSLewis can you highlight this appealing customer service via your media channels.

  • Stvceydoll Stacey (@Stvceydoll) reported

@virginmedia have the worst customer service ever! All I want is a confirmation email for what I bought! It’s like getting a needle out of a haystack! #wouldnotreccomend

  • Housewife6 Shaz (@Housewife6) reported from Hammersmith, England

@virginhelp i have been having issues with my broadband with @virginmedia for months. The router has been changed still no joy, a virtual tech was supposed to call me on Wed, he didnt, i keep calling and im still at square 1. Kids all study from home, so frustrating, help me🙏🏼🙏🏼

  • LutherGravy Luther Gravy (@LutherGravy) reported

@virginmedia No, we've had intermittent issues with broadband and TV for a little while, tried all the usual stuff. I think it might be in the wiring. It's all a bit old and crabby looking, was here when we moved in a few years ago. Hence would like an engineer to come and have a look.
