@virginmedia broadband down again in SG6 ... makes home working a pretty frustrating experience!
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@virginmedia It’s not specific to me; and to be honest I’m not really bothered. The problem is your marketing 5G phones in areas that don’t have 5G which is affectively mis-selling. Probably something you should look into.
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@virginmedia @mouthwaite Hi John; just jumping in on this. You really need to start advising customers properlyit doesn’t matter how many technicians visit it won’t solve the problem of the poor standard router and your default settings.
-
Gordon Brown (@KTMGordo) reported from Saint Neots, England
Oh joy. Christmas Eve and @virginmedia has a fault that apparently won’t be fixed until 4 January. No TV or internet then this Christmas whilst stuck at home on my own 😢 ...although the service status page says ‘good service’ 🤔
-
Claire Dyer ⚯͛ ⁷ (@cdyer98) reported from Great Shelford, England
@virginmedia internet down in cb22 . system checker says nothing is wrong and fiancé is fast asleep (and knows all the passwords) so can’t get through to report the issue- usual 12.30 drop (5mins ish) happened and then it cut off completely at 4.20am
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@AdamDea29742908 @virginmedia But buying one between £50 and £200 will probably suit most and if it turns out it doesn’t solve your problems it hasn’t broken the bank. I went for an Asus one at about £120. Netgear is another strong brand. I had poor WiFi for years and it was a massive improvement. 2/2

tim (@Claydon8Tim) reported from Hitchin, England
@virginmedia Sorry. That’s it. Sorry. Yes I’ve checked and the WiFi is now working. I also checked and I’ll still be billed the full amount for a 2nd rate service that doesn’t in anyway match your glitzy empty advertising campaigns.
-
tim (@Claydon8Tim) reported from Hitchin, England
@virginmedia I have been forced to work from home and work internationally. For the past 48hrs your WiFi has been down in Hertfordshire. Completely. Have been unable to work and have thus lost money. Get a costumer service that works or I will take my business elsewhere
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@VisctFishpond @virginmedia I had similar problems to you; got the runaround from Virgin. Lots of research done and the issue is almost certainly the router. You can buy a third-party router and turn the virgin router into a modem. Solved all my problems. Worth a try.
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@virginmedia You do realise that the majority of messages sent to you are people complaining that your Wi-Fi is very poor? So perhaps concentrate on that for existing clients rather than pushing new sales? Poor router is the issue. #slowerfaraway
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@StMirrenDaft @virginmedia @mat_fraser One of the key issues is their router. It’s rubbish and has programming which means main signal isn’t direct for WiFi. I had this problem; buy another router and turn Virgin one into modem. It solved my problem.
-
Jay Atkins (@jay_atkins7) reported from Eaton Socon, England
@virginmedia trying to book an engineer to come out as my Internet has been down for over a week now and having no luck over the phone as it keeps cutting us off, can you help please.
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@Lindzell_LFC @virginmedia It’s their router. All the calls in the world won’t change the problem. You can buy a new router abs connect it to the Virgin one. Worked for me.
-
Lucid Dream Pictures (@luciddreamphoto) reported from Hitchin, England
@virginmedia I’ll ring your call centre again tomorrow. When I’m paying nearly £65 a month for a service I’m not getting I don’t really feel I should have to post to a online community forum to solve the problem. A Virgin tech should come to my home & fix it!
-
Paul Gull (@pgull1975) reported from Saffron Walden, England
@virginmedia I’ve spoken to someone who had previously chased this for me and he is still waiting on confirmation of change to residential property. He did say that once confirmed there could be another two weeks before installation. Will I be compensated for lack of service?
-
Lucid Dream Pictures (@luciddreamphoto) reported from Hitchin, England
@virginmedia No known issues on everything (broadband tv & phone)
-
James Denton (pen) (@Denton_james) reported from Whaddon, England
@COOPSthereitis4 @virginmedia Virgin broadband is awful, cuts out all the time

-
Maria-Luisa Prezio (@Tranquil_Maria) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@virginmedia The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Changing a minor detail impossible!!!
-

@virginmedia But it’s not working.
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
DaveAgainst (@dave_against) reported
@virginmedia my situation is getting worse. It’s now been 3 weeks without a connection date for my new address. I’ve just been on the phone for another 60 mins and been cut off with no resolution. I need to speak to a manager ASAP! #virginmedia #broadband awful customer service
-
DaveAgainst (@dave_against) reported
@virginmedia @DaveAgainst I got a call from the field manager through twitter on Friday because of these communication issues. Can you do that again please? I can’t call you again. I tried but after 60 mins nothing had been done and all I did was explain the situation from the beginning again
-
chris broadbent (@FernoxChris) reported
@Nick_Hartley1 @virginmedia I changed from then last year for similar reasons. Great tv, great home phone, appalling broadband, worst customer service ever .
-
Nick Hartley (@Nick_Hartley1) reported
@FernoxChris @virginmedia I moved my tv and broadband too last year due to the service, wish I had listened to myself about the phones and just let the contract finish and then move somewhere else, nothing but hassle again and poor customer service.
-
MJP ☀️ (@mrmjprice) reported
@virginmedia It's okay - I've fixed the problem, it might be worth reporting it to see if anyone can replicate it on a Hub 4? I don't really want to do it my side because I don't want to set up my Ring devices again today.
-
MJP ☀️ (@mrmjprice) reported
@virginmedia I suspect it also happened a few months ago but I didn't realise what the problem was. It's only because I restarted the router that I found the problem.
-
Algo tiger (@AlgoTiger) reported
@virginmedia Forum is not helping. I tried chat and text and of course phoned in to customer support 12 times since Friday 18th June now. They still keep transferring one person to another and then cut me off. This is terrible. How can I claim compensation or get out of my contract?
-
LJ 💙 (@FlamingLJ) reported
@virginmedia And in all honesty not everyone is great with using sites online. Not customer service friendly at all. I’ve been with Virgin for nearly 25 years and seriously considering my options now.
-
Andrew Grainger (@kingofchezo_WBA) reported
@virginmedia Text isn’t going too well @virginmedia not sure they understand I need a replacement adaptor that’s all. It’s so so so hard work I mean ridiculously hard work to get it thru to someone! Sangavi now is the latest name to palm me off and not understanding the actual issue
-
Thea (@theasthinkings) reported from Abergavenny, Wales
@virginmedia please Please PLEASE help me. I have been waiting for a response for hours on your webchat and still haven't spoken to anyone. All I'm trying to do is move my broadband to a new address. Customer service shouldn't be this hard.
