@virginmedia @Ofcom how is it acceptable to have no service staff picking up a call after 90 minutes and to leave a vulnerable older person with no telephone?

  • richardtaylor37
richard taylor (@richardtaylor37) reported from Stapleford, England

@virginmedia Hi, we are having issues connecting to the wifi throughout the house. The room the hub is in is good but the rest of the house is very poor, we have our children complaining that their games consoles won’t connect or buffering and glitching and it’s costing us a fortune.

  • katej1984
Kate J (@katej1984) reported from Sandiacre, England

@virginmedia any chance you could hire call centre staff that don’t hang up the phone after 3 seconds in an attempt to bring their AHT down?

  • aaronfarny_b
B Farn (@aaronfarny_b) reported from Ilkeston, England

Right @virginmedia is truly the worst internet - So I am looking to change providers as soon as possible - Not worried about TV packages etc as We are good with free view - can anybody recommend a ISP with a good monthly rate and none of the hidden fees etc?

  • TuesdyB
Tuesdy Burgin (@TuesdyB) reported from Ilkeston, England

  • iamj_armstrong
James Armstrong (@iamj_armstrong) reported from Beeston, England

@virginmedia the internet you installed yesterday has stopped working and you can’t get anyone out until Tuesday? If I want to escalate the issue then it will take 3-5 working days? Can anyone help me?

  • roberto85
Rob Parker (@roberto85) reported from Beeston, England

@virginmedia it took my nearly 3 hours to cancel my contract after 7 years with you. Your customer service representative made up a fake outstanding bill from 2016 as an excuse not to help me. All sorted now but never going to be a #virginmediacustomer again.

  • NikkiPearman
Nikki Pearman 💙 (@NikkiPearman) reported from Loughborough, England

@virginmedia I have an issue with my wifi signal being weak upstairs - until last 2 mths it was perfectly fine. However it’s impossible to speak with anyone - I don’t want the automated system or a broadband check as service is fine it’s just range. Unhappy customer

  • dannychappo
Danny Chaplin (@dannychappo) reported from Beeston, England

@virginmedia service checker says your not in my area, but I know others who have your service and also diamond cable box right outside my house?

  • acmtix

@virginmedia This could not have happened at a worse time for me. I'm happy to make them cups of tea if they fix the fault a little sooner.

  • mattdowning5
matt downing (@mattdowning5) reported from Selston, England

@virginmedia How about just giving your customers reliably service for the extortionate prices. We can look after our kids as parents. You do your job as service providers. I don't want my kids in borstal

  • iamj_armstrong
James Armstrong (@iamj_armstrong) reported from Beeston, England

@virginmedia There isn’t an outage. I have been told it may be a line fault but the hub was fine yesterday afternoon

  • sarjeantm01

  • haasty_kawa
haasty kawa (@haasty_kawa) reported from Derby, England

@virginmedia I'm not at all satisfied. Since last night until now, my internet has been down. When I attempted to contact customer service, it flatly refused. I attempted to access the page, but it is still blocking me. I am self-employed. The region DE248ET is shown here. Fix it asap

  • bigbrawbill
Lord William Niven (@bigbrawbill) reported from Ilkeston, England

@virginmedia I am sorry, but what a shocking customer service, hardly speaking a word of english, patronising me as if I am setting it up wrong and going over what I have already done. Can I have someone english explain what us wrong. !!!!!

  • Ebike_holidays
National Forest E-Bike Holidays (@Ebike_holidays) reported from Ashby-de-la-Zouch, England

@virginmedia We followed instructions to switch phones to fibre optic. Can dial out but can’t get calls. It’s really upset my mother in law as she is vulnerable and we are her emergency support. Our mobile signal is very poor at home, so she is frightened she can’t contact us.

  • AndyBtheatre
    AndyB (@AndyBtheatre) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia Not disputing experiences with @virginmedia but we've been lucky; broadband was poor - upgrade FOC, don't use landline since it went VoIP - charge removed, cancelled TiVO - accepted my reasons, canx TV, upgrade BB, sent box to return set top - all went through no problems

  • PhilMcCrachn
    Phil McCrachn (@PhilMcCrachn) reported

@virginmedia terrible internet all week, speeds less than a 10th of what I'm "guaranteed". Seems this is happening to others as well.

  • duckterwhoo
    Duckterwhoo (@duckterwhoo) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia Not had a single issue and been a customer for 10 years. And I get 1gb line which is full fiber no issues.

  • RednalNut
    RednalNut (@RednalNut) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia If you have a good mobile signal consider a LTE router & buy a unlimited Data Sim. I left Virgin after 23 years for similar reasons as above. With EE & happy with the service.

  • Blinkfan180
    Robin (@Blinkfan180) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia Terrible service. Internet would regularly drop at least once a day. Been on gigaclear and Internet has gone down twice in 10 months. Speeds comparable too. Also use sky stream. All good too.

  • oveja77777
    @Oveja77777 (@oveja77777) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia Would it be worth trying to ring them? I find their customer service people are usually helpful. Use the 0335 454 1111 number, as I used another one in the past and it had really high charges. I ring them every year to stop them putting my direct debit up.

  • christophlander
    Chris Lander (@christophlander) reported

@virginmedia Thanks for your faux sympathy, but its still not working. Terrible service. Is there a way to compensate for this?

  • original1hanwoo
    Ewan McLachlan (@original1hanwoo) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia Ive been charged by @virginmedia for using a service after I left the property and cancelled everything. Their customer service are so inept that after multiple phone calls etc they still dont understand the situation and have passed the £500 pound charge onto debt collectors.

  • bribiotech
    BriBiotech (@bribiotech) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia @richardbranson I was as pissed off as you but rather than take pain of dealing with them open the box damaged the innards reassembled and sent it to them. Would you believe it took me 36 hours of chasing them on WhatsApp to cancel the contract.

  • WebBuildingFrog
    Anon frog poster (@WebBuildingFrog) reported

@Simon_Coates @Simon_Whale @virginmedia I have the same. Only issue I've had with it is the cable was short by 1m so I had to order a longer one (third party much cheaper) Installed it all myself, whole village is impressed.
