Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Kai (@housecatkai) reported@whisperwoIf @virginmedia Easily the worst damn ISP here in the UK, I don’t miss them at all 🤢
-
Victor (@winningearly) reportedOfcom has fined Virgin Media O2 £28 million after concluding that, over a prolonged period, many customers faced unnecessary obstacles when trying to cancel their services.

Flaitheas 🇮🇪 (@M4817211887561) reported@EoinLenihan Those who provide cover for evil, are evil. I include the dangerous fifth columnists in RTE, Virgin Media and the newspapers in that cohort. They must all be held to account, they must all pay for the terrible terrible damage they are willfully doing.
-
fatmogs1 🐎 (@fatmogs1) reported@virginmedia What about poor O2 customers who have been trying for months, with loads of wasted hours of listening to hold music, to unlock their accounts. I have been told 17 times now that it would be sorted, still not sorted. I think I’ll need to move all my family’s phones.
-
chris floyd (@mrchrisfloyd) reported@Ofcom @virginmedia love this!!! They’ve been at this for years!! Hanging up on customers! I hope it affects their staff now. Because ultimately it’s the company that gets fined for this, not the rude, stuck up staff they’ve got working for the company
-
Minute Market (@Minutemarketio) reportedVirgin Media Gets Fined 🫰 Virgin Media was hit with a £28 million, or roughly $37 million, fine by UK regulator Ofcom for repeatedly making it harder for customers to cancel contracts between 2022 and 2024. That is not just a consumer-rights story. It is a warning for telecom and subscription businesses that “retention tricks” can become regulatory liabilities. In a market obsessed with recurring revenue, cancellation friction is now a legal risk.
-
Andy (@andyosb) reported@Ofcom @virginmedia did exactly the same thing to me back in 2019! It was - and still is - the worst customer service experience of my life (and I'm now 65). I was just so relieved to escape them eventually. They're utter scum. Do yourself a favour & don't go anywhere near this company
-
Jimmy Jones (@_James_Jones_) reported@AdamT1875 @virginmedia Correct! I managed to use Starbucks WiFi to send the message. I reckon their own staff are also suffering with poor connections due to not responding after requesting info... they are currently arguing the toss on chat saying, you sure its not in the box? GAPING HOLE SAYS NO!
