@virginmedia it took my nearly 3 hours to cancel my contract after 7 years with you. Your customer service representative made up a fake outstanding bill from 2016 as an excuse not to help me. All sorted now but never going to be a #virginmediacustomer again.

@Walpie27 By being an O2/Virgin Media customer. Statement yesterday said lots of tickets held back for general sale, but after the O2 Priority app & website crashed I’m not holding hope of getting tickets. In the past I’d have queued at the arena but the box office isn’t opening tomorrow

@virginmedia Or you could invite your customers to get in touch when out of contract or you could even tell us what deals are on offer to help us stay. I suspect you don't because you realise that inertia effects are high when it comes to changing broadband packages.

@virginmedia the internet you installed yesterday has stopped working and you can’t get anyone out until Tuesday? If I want to escalate the issue then it will take 3-5 working days? Can anyone help me?

@virginmedia There isn’t an outage. I have been told it may be a line fault but the hub was fine yesterday afternoon

@PreetBharara @ZellaQuixote Around 2009 or 2010. I had a computer with a modem that could send faxes that was just about working, and I had to get @virginmedia to send an engineer out to fix my landline. The landline broke again a month or two later and hasn’t worked since, though they still bill me for it.

@simonnread @virginmedia I'm having the same issue. For the period of lockdown I could broadly rely on the signal to my home office. The last 2/3 months I haven't and I am constantly having to tether my mobile at my expense. The router hasn't moved and neither has my office. The service has just worsened

@simonnread @virginmedia I'm looking at the new Sky Stream service that starts on 18th October combined with Three 5G broadband. Both offer rolling 1 month contracts

Customer Services via @WhatsApp is just appalling. Looking at you @virginmedia. Feels like I've wasted hours trying to sort out a contract, one bot message at a time.

@virginmedia Still no service. Disconnected without speaking to current owners first. Won’t take instructions from us only new owners who don’t get keys till 28th. 2 days of lost productivity and counting. Will be asking for compensation.

@mister_tee @HKesvani @virginmedia Logged a complaint on their website on Sunday - didn’t receive an acknowledgment so spoke to them & they told me that they already have a general ticket number for this particular issue (no service since 25/09/22) so they haven’t registered my complaint. Seriously, WTAF is that?!

@virginmedia I'm a new customer. Been fobbed off & messed about awaiting connection for wks.Last minute emails saying you're not coming, work from home.Cust Serv dreadful,45min calls, cut off & charged for privilege. What is going on????
-
Duncan Cheung
(@DBop86) reported
@virginmedia P.P.S. Even if a general ticket has been raised for an existing outage, you should still acknowledge when customers raise a complaint relating to it. This is bare minimum Customer Service 101. To hear nothing & then be told later about why I received no response is terrible form

Internet connection has become borderline unusable today, can't watch a video. Speeds of like 1Mb. Mega BIT. Virgin Media saying my area does not have an issue, and also is unable to test my connection.
-
Duncan Cheung
(@DBop86) reported
@virginmedia That Virgin engineers have been unable to fix the problem. It was damage caused to a hub serving the area I believe. Do you feel £8.40/day is sufficient for no internet for nearly 4 weeks? 🤔

@virginmedia So here we are another week later with another set of new remote controls and the same result. Go online and Virgin is too busy to take on new messages and the phone never gets answered!! This whole thing has been dragging on now for over two weeks!!
