  • ryau3
Ron Yau (@ryau3) reported from Repton, England

@virginmedia Reboot will help for a while but have to stop all in the family who still have signal for streaming radio, Xbox or watching Tv on the TiVo every time. How inconvenient is this for all due to a @unreliable service provided by @virginmedia. Had many other issues before as well...

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @ScottMcGready @PWTooStrong This isn't as bad as some would make out. 10 isn't ideal, but it's not insecure either. That's not to say you can't choose an insecure 10 character password however...

Neil else (@Neilelse1974) reported from Chellaston, England

@virginmedia That does not answer the question I spoke to your representative, ‘what is the best price for loyalty you can offer me for the bigger bundle ‘ can you please help me on this. Thanks

  • antbates1991
Anthony Bates (@antbates1991) reported from Burton upon Trent, England

@virginmedia It's for Virgin Media. Everytime I ring up to try and change something no one over the phone can ever find my account and because of this no one can help me. I want to cancel my package because the offer I'm on expires next month and the services are not worth £84.

  • something_phil
Philip John 🇪🇺 (@something_phil) reported from Lichfield, England

There are going to be *weeks* of follow up at @virginmedia about how the hell they allowed their own status page to be tied to their infrastructure. Pretty useless if your status page goes down when you do.

  • Ebike_holidays
National Forest E-Bike Holidays (@Ebike_holidays) reported from Ashby-de-la-Zouch, England

@virginmedia It’s even more stressful as we can’t tell her when you will resolve the problem. Extremely poor service.

@kinoshitajona @ScottMcGready @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Agreed, neither are secure and should never be used... however it's certainly possible to make an unbreakable MD5 password.

  • Paul_Reviews
Paul Moore (@Paul_Reviews) reported from Burntwood, England

@ScottMcGready @kinoshitajona @SCwithGin @virginmedia @NCSC @troyhunt @PWTooStrong Scott, we use the term "unbreakable" in the trade to imply the credentials cannot be broken in a timeframe which realistically presents a risk to the user... it's not an OED term. Sure, if we're talking to an end-user, you either use a different term or explain the meaning

  • ryau3
Ron Yau (@ryau3) reported from Repton, England

  • MakelyStudio
    Ali@Makely (@MakelyStudio) reported

10 years. 50M+ users. £11M+ revenue impact. Mercedes. Citibank. Sky. Virgin Media. NatWest. I spent a decade fixing conversion problems at some of the world's most recognised brands. what I learned: the same broken patterns show up everywhere - onboarding that loses people in the first 60 seconds, pricing pages that confuse instead of convert, signup flows with friction nobody ever fixed. Now I build the same systems for funded startups.
