There are going to be *weeks* of follow up at @virginmedia about how the hell they allowed their own status page to be tied to their infrastructure. Pretty useless if your status page goes down when you do.

@virginmedia please tell me how to contact your complaints department as I have an ongoing issue with your mobile department that’s been raised over the last 12 months and no one can help me! #poorcustomerservice #virginmobile #complaint #help

@virginmedia once again your online service status tells me there are no known issues in our area. I call to report I still have the intermittent fault I have had for over a week and told there is a fault in the area which may not be fixed until 12th March.

@virginmedia It's for Virgin Media. Everytime I ring up to try and change something no one over the phone can ever find my account and because of this no one can help me. I want to cancel my package because the offer I'm on expires next month and the services are not worth £84.

Virgin Media customer service is non existent. 6 times today I’ve called to make changes to my package. I’ve waited on average 50 minutes each time only to be cut off each time. You can add to your package on line but you can’t remove anything. Just wait till normality returns...

Not surprised re @virginmedia especially on the TV side - my issues remain unresolved following my attempts to reduce my tv package without being given the assurances or certainty of what channels would actually be removed and what would remain!

@virginmedia Again, why is it so complicated. Designed to frustrate the customer and so they stick with the more expensive package. Your team member could not understand my basic request, which is very concerning. Listen back to the call. Play it to @ofcom they have my consent to listen to it

New tactics from Virgin Media, ring up to cancel, they say they can't find your account and then put the phone down. 🖕🖕

Hi @virginmedia just wanted to get in touch as just got off the phone with the bereavement team. All I wanted is to transfer the account to my mum as my Dad has died. But have been told you have to close the account losing our emails & leaving us without service for up to a week

@virginmedia When I phoned the contact centre they said they knew there was an issue and it would be sorted in 24hrs. A quick google shows this isnt just me its a common trend

@virginmedia your online service status says there are no known issues in my area. However when I called just with a broadband issue I was told there is a fault in our area. If your website was up to date I would not have needed to call and queue for 30 mins.

ISPs seem to enjoy charging a loyalty tax to UK customers by periodically raising prices based on little more than the length of time the service has been paid for. Now on top of that @virginmedia are increasing my price by £7pm. Disgusting.

Cancelling Virgin Media broadband is like running a call centre gantlet. Incessantly asking needless questions, transferred to multiple people, ID checks each time, eventually they let you cancel... Having to phone to cancel things you can buy in 1 click online should be illegal.
-
Mark Gibson
(@MarkIGibson) reported
@virginmedia Would this be relevant if the issue is with the connection rather than the router? It's the same router that we had before the move and it never dropped

@virginmedia your customer service is probably the worst I've experienced. My inet was supposed to be installed on the 02/01, then moved to 28/01. Now installed, it still doesnt work. The cable to the house needs replacing. Ive been told it will take 2 months until it is fixed.
-
Ash Connolly 👋
(@_AshConnolly) reported
@virginmedia And will require a new installation, which doesn't make sense since all install has been done. I was also told by my virgin advisor that to speed it up, I should search my area for virgin installers, and then ask them to do me a favour and come fix it. It's pretty ridiculous.

finally able to switch away from Virgin Media and it's the same feeling of freedom as the day we first bought a house and knew we'd never have to deal with renting from a landlord ever again

-
Mark Gibson

@virginmedia Hi, think we've found out what the issue is. The engineer that fitted the connection has left the hatch open and cabling exposed on the pavement - so any movement looks like it drops the connection
