Virgin Media Ireland says it doesn’t have a “repair time frame” on a sizeable broadband outage affecting “the Dublin area”. It hopes that the undiagnosed issue will be fixed today as, “given the scale it would be very rare for this to continue for the full day”.

@virginmedia now waiting 45mins for support to pick up - you said 20mins! The problem is your service is so awful I can’t do this online. Please let me know if the 20mins is a lie and that you don’t answer at all.

@virginmedia Yes it shows no issue. My connection has just came back about 30 seconds ago. However it was down for approx 30 minutes. The checker always lags behind customers contacting you about outages.

@O2 @virginmedia But if you're a loyal O2 customer but not in a virgin media area you can go whistle - nothing for you - VM reaches just over 50% of UK addresses - so that's 50% of your customers who it appears you don't care about but still put their bills up by over 11%

@virginmedia After a few cancelled appointments, someone came out to fix the wiring outside but didn’t actually check it was working, which it wasn’t. So waiting for someone else to come tomorrow, hopefully.
