  • john003

@griptmedia @john_mcguirk From RTE point of view cheap price...Means they never have to have John McGuirk on again for fear of libel....Newstalk and Virgin media can use the same excuse....

@MarkPaulTimes Problem is RTE Newstalk and Virgin Media see ISAG as presenting the settled science...Don't question the assertion they repeat..."If last July we had implemented zero covid.. would need no lockdown for last 6 months"...Media see anyone against them as some sort of covid deniers

The fact that there is a weird, outdated weight-loss show on Virgin Media 2 just before #LoveIsland is just wild to me. So many young people are tuning in to watch Love Island and catching even 15 mins of this before hand does so much damage and is also just really out of touch?

This time last year I was working a delivery job just to survive and pay my car insurance/mobile bill and basic food shops. Fast forward a year. Now working 2 brilliant jobs with DIY SOS and Virgin Media, which I never would've got had I quit on Irish Football Fan TV.

For more than a decade, Stan Beaton held onto something that many people would consider priceless. It wasn't jewelry, money, or a photograph. It was the voice of his wife, Ruby. Ruby passed away from cancer in 2003. Before she died, she had recorded the greeting on their home answering machine. It became the last recording of her voice, and whenever grief felt overwhelming, Stan would play it just to hear her speak again. He was so afraid of losing that message that he stayed with the same phone company for years, believing it was the safest way to protect it. Then, in 2014, everything changed. Following routine maintenance by Virgin Media, the voicemail suddenly disappeared. Stan was devastated. He believed the final piece of his wife's voice had been erased forever. When Virgin Media learned what had happened, they refused to give up. The company assembled a team of 11 engineers, who spent three days searching through backup systems and archived data. One executive compared the task to searching for a needle in a haystack. Against the odds, they found it. When the recording was played back to Stan during a BBC Radio Leeds interview, he broke down in tears. "That's her... It's just a wonderful, wonderful sound that I thought was lost forever." Virgin Media later provided him with copies of the recording so it would never be lost again. Sometimes technology isn't just about cables, servers, and code. Sometimes, it's about giving someone one more chance to hear the voice of the person they loved most.

@shashpatel23 @virginmedia @HopeForTo Honestly, it’s a joke! Saying 8:07pm fix time here in Birmingham! If I hadn’t been forced to upgrade my V6 box to 360 software I’d still be able to access the tv channels!! But because 360 relies on wifi connection I can’t get any tv!! 🤯🤯😡😡
