Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Dublin, Leinster

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Dublin and nearby locations:

  • ivucica Ivan Vučica (@ivucica) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@VirginMediaIE @SamiHaahtinen Ack, it totally makes sense to delay a page based on dependent service; but last time I recall it was a lot of time. This is one of many times my home is not affected by ESB outage, just the Virgin Media service. Anyway, now you know some affected homes don't lose power :)

  • TheShaneOBrien ᚄᚆᚐᚅᚓᚑᚁᚏᚔᚓᚅ Shane O'Brien (@TheShaneOBrien) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

Everyone should seriously consider changing their virgin media passwords if they use it in another place (common sense really) but yall should consider finding another ISP until they finally fix this

  • Ainemarieban Ann White (@Ainemarieban) reported from Firhouse, Leinster

Virgin Media your service is a joke. You are treating your customers as fools telling them there is no issue in the service when there clearly is. As soon as my contract is up we are out of this absolute nonsense. We got service back in Old Bawn for a few hours and now gone again

  • SweeneysD3 Sweeney's D3 /Lilac Wines (@SweeneysD3) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia broadband down, having to turn away customers because my card machines need Internet!

  • bonkers_ie bonkers.ie (@bonkers_ie) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

In #mobile news, Virgin Mobile launched a new offer of 40GB of data, unlimited 📞 & unlimited texts for just €5p/m for five months for existing Virgin Media customers & just €20p/m for non customers. All on a 30-day, SIM-only plan. Not bad!

  • Felixjbrown Fèlix Brown (@Felixjbrown) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia , my internet has been broke for two weeks now! Every time I call to one of your phones, your employees hang up! £54 a month for Internet while I’m a student!

  • MeanDeaneGaming Mean Deane (@MeanDeaneGaming) reported from Fingal County, Leinster

    @DazzmanTV @FMCreators @virginmedia Ah, that sucks.

  • pmobsligo Peter (@pmobsligo) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@padfootcare @slum_napoleon @Middle_Digital @Mike_Walsh_FIN @JoshDixonTweets @juliaogiehor @virginmedia Not the issue. If there is an IT policy and parts of it are not generally enforced but an employer uses the strict terms of the policy to dismiss an employee, the employee could have their dismissal blocked, overturned or be compensated. There must be fairness and due process.

  • Khayden2412 Karl Hayden (@Khayden2412) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

I’ve reached the end of my patience with the @VirginMediaIE broadband service. It is supposed to be 100mb broadband, nothing remotely close to it. It won’t even work through plasterboard walls in an apartment. My advice, stay away from it, save your money. #Broadband #VirginMedia

  • COSiorain Carol-Ann O' Síoráin PhD (@COSiorain) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

Very poor service from @virginmedia 43 minutes on phone to sort a small issue!

  • phillyrussell Philip Russell (@phillyrussell) reported from Fingal County, Leinster

Everything about my experience of trying to switch my mobile network to @virginmedia Ireland is telling me this is a bad idea. Horrific standard of customer service so far. Not a good omen.

  • annsaint Tallulah Mae Timberlake (@annsaint) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia Our broadband is down now

  • LorcanKav Lorcan (@LorcanKav) reported from Fingal County, Leinster

@virginmedia no service in malahide for the last few hours. Internet, tv and phone all gone. Any info.

  • SimonJohnPalmer Simon Palmer (@SimonJohnPalmer) reported from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Leinster

I grew up on Morecambe Bay, which is the bay featured on ITV (and Virgin Media One) drama The Bay. I spent my childhood summers swimming here. It's a damn shame the state of it now.

  • DanMartinss Dan Martins (@DanMartinss) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia after this so called Intelligent WiFi, for thr first time my connection is horrible. Modem restarted several times, and had to connect to 4G to send this twitter.

  • COSiorain Carol-Ann O' Síoráin PhD (@COSiorain) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia I wasn’t waiting to get through, the problem is related to communication skills, being able to listen to exactly the customer’s needs and being able to evaluate what is required, checking in with the customer to clarify needs- good listen and analysis needed

  • PGprintr Paul Geoghegan (@PGprintr) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia Have been checking...but no fault reported in the area. The network logs show the T3 timeout error notice has been occurring regularly since my last technician visit. Also I note that my 5ghz network gets goo speed, however my 2.4ghz WiFi rarely gets better than 10mbs.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • JKlaise Janis Klaise (@JKlaise) reported

@virginmedia fix estimates have gone up every few hours since yesterday, this morning it was again 10am->2pm-> 4pm->7pm. This is not useful. If it is a major problem, say that it is likely to take days to fix so we can make contingency plans instead of relying on bad estimates.

  • dobbo101 Alan Dobson (@dobbo101) reported

@virginmedia So another call with a hour long wait to then get cut off again is the best you can offer. And how do I discuss my complaint with someone, if it’s nit to much to ask?

  • LouLouMason Lou-Lou 💙 💭 (@LouLouMason) reported

@virginmedia Ah yes good point! Will check. It’s dropping out around lunchtime. Bizarrely. For ten mins. For the last three days. We’ve just had new super hub installed so our service the rest of the time is ACE.

  • jibhibcrm James (@jibhibcrm) reported

@virginmedia To be quite frank, whatever is causing the issue, this should have been rectified by now. It’s been 10 days so far, come your new estimated completion date it will have been 17 days. No doubt you’ll push it back again , and again, and again. Continued...

  • JesterinBlack Will (@JesterinBlack) reported

@virginmedia It states that the refund is only issued if services are unavailable for 48hrs AFTER clicking to report an outage; I'm pretty sure this isn't what the automated process set out of the regulator is...

  • JesterinBlack Will (@JesterinBlack) reported

@virginmedia which caused me to lose online therapy sessions, having to sign up on a new contract and a phone sim that I didn't want; also didn't get refunded for the bill paid before that either. Amazing how my direct debit payment still went out today; never seems to be a problem with that

  • RickC45h Rick (@RickC45h) reported

@virginmedia still waiting for a response. Customer service in any form is quite frankly awful.

  • dave_philbin Dave Philbin (@dave_philbin) reported

@RickC45h @virginmedia Got any new customer deals @virginmedia?? Edit: I don't want it, but it might flash up on their system so they reply

  • JesterinBlack Will (@JesterinBlack) reported

@virginmedia Also as a heads up to fellow VM customers whom are having issues, you have to log in online and click a part to claim a refund regarding outage; the regulator had declared it is supposed to be done automatically but VM has changed the process 1/2
