@bt_uk I swear, if I get one more text saying there’s delays and you’ll call me in 3 days, I’ll go down to the bloody exchange and fix it myself! You now owe me £100 in mobile data which is shit slow anyway and I’m writing an article for the media about this disgusting service.

@btsport should follow the lead of @SkySports and allow customers to pause/cancel their contracts until real sport is resumed. I’m happy to pay for what I signed up for. I did not sign up for constant replays on the 2012 Championship season and closed door WWE wrestling......

Some seriously shocking customer service from @bt_uk Anyone else in any other job that had hung up on their customers several times and not rang back when promised would have been sacked by now! Safe to say still not internet or access to any features! 🤬

@VancityReynolds @Vanarama @btsport Could have a bad effect on clubs in lower leagues. Fans might not go to games and just stream.

PaulineM

@VancityReynolds @Vanarama @btsport How much would you charge for the live streaming? How about the revenue lost in catering etc and what happens when no one can be bothered to go to the match? Canned chanting and cheering? Agreed it was brilliant during the pandemic but serious revenue issues are a concern.

@VancityReynolds @Vanarama @btsport But saying that. 3pm blackout should stay in place. If certain clubs with smaller fan base start to struggle and fans think, I'll stay at home and watch in TV, these clubs would go under. #keep3pmblackput

@bt_uk Box didn't work so got sent a new one but that doesn't work!! Turns on but then doesn't do anything. Tried resetting etc and nothing! It's crap!!!
-
James Turnbull
(@jamestbl) reported
@VancityReynolds @Vanarama @btsport The reality Mr Reynolds is that unfortunately the teams in this league are not well off financially. Streaming would be cheaper than tickets so attendances will go down and towns will lose the footfall of potential customers for it's shops, restaurants etc.

PureH
(@PureH11) reported
@VancityReynolds @Vanarama @btsport Basically, half your matches wouldn't be streamed anyway thanks to the 3pm Blackout, which is for all Football in the UK which is to encourage people to actually go to the grounds instead of staying at home and 9 times out of 10 would watch a prem match over the lower league.

Aidan Gamble
(@Aidan_Gamble) reported
@VancityReynolds @Vanarama @btsport Is your proposal that the home team keeps all the revenue, in the same way that the home team keeps all the revenue for league games? Have no real issue for overseas streaming if so.
-
Andy Birks
(@andybirks_) reported
@VancityReynolds @Vanarama @btsport Be careful what you wish for. Streaming has definitely impacted (circa 20% less) championship attendances plus incremental spend on food/drinks and club shop due to lower footfall. This was mainly midweek games. Got to protect 3pm Sat blackout for steaming as piracy risk.

@VancityReynolds @Vanarama @btsport I bet Mint mobile data plans.. a couple of fans with proper cameras and the ability to upload solves that issue. Private persons, maximum effort. Did you want that live feed in 4K?
