A new development on the BT issue. Had a call following my Tweet from a person @bt_uk apologising for yesterday. Early termination fee waived, apology accepted and relationship restored. Both agreed that this wasn’t the way it should happen but impressed with the resolution.

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • bSocialStrategy B Social (@bSocialStrategy) reported

.@bt_uk it’s 1:30AM and I’m still up trying to get my work done. Why? Because the internet has been awful all evening. I’ve been trying to upload a 45 second video for the last two hours with no success. And I can’t go to sleep unless I meet my deadlines. This happens too often!

  • pawncrackers Liana Scientia (@pawncrackers) reported

@bt_uk @SkyHelpTeam Is* terrible. Not typing that out again on a bloody phone, lol

  • PedroLaBarba Pedro La Barba (@PedroLaBarba) reported

@bt_uk Hi, Clare. How are you? I assume my tone came across as rude - I apologise unreservedly. I was aiming for flippant, not accusatory. Your team have been nothing but lovely (Laura & Aisling especially). That said, doesn't 18 days after our agreed moving date seem unreasonable?

  • DrPragyaAgarwal Prof. Pragya Agarwal (shouldn't really be here) (@DrPragyaAgarwal) reported

@bt_uk the wifi has been down since yesterday. we have called customer service many times. could someone please tell us what is going on?

  • 2plus3times5 Xavier Sprocker (@2plus3times5) reported

@hscrutton @bt_uk They only want your money... Took me a year to get them to realise I had fibre in a old property 4 years ago... then another year to actually give be fibre broadband. Today they're supposedly doing the digital phone switchover, no interference I'm told, broadband down all day!

  • mxtthewpxrker The Memedalorian (@mxtthewpxrker) reported

The thing I love most about my @bt_uk broadband is its inconsistency. Jumping from 24 mbps to 2 mbps then up to 35 then back down to 500kbps. Paying for a minimum 45 mbps and getting anything but even with 2 mini discs!

  • TheGaganJuneja Gagan Juneja (@TheGaganJuneja) reported

@BTGroup @bt_uk Moving house caused entire day of outage and I am not sure if it’s still working. Should’t you let customers know the impact rather hiding or writing obscured wordings in comm? Will not trust ur service anymore. #Badservice

  • systemforce System Force I.T. (@systemforce) reported

@SinclairDayAcct @bt_uk I do too, but for example - I know a family member who isn't keen on technology and never uses their phone, so they rely on a landline to make calls to doctors etc. However, technology has advanced that much, that there is no need for landlines, and Voice over IP is just better!

  • 2plus3times5 Xavier Sprocker (@2plus3times5) reported

@fbuist @bt_uk Same in East Anglia... Told me they were upgrading to digital phone lines and Internet would be fine... went down at midnight still nothing...

  • hscrutton helen reid (@hscrutton) reported

@2plus3times5 @bt_uk We live in a village. It took 4 months to get BT to put in any kind of line let alone broadband. Eventually I emailed the CEO. It got resolved. They still charged me a fortune for the privilege. We have absolutely no mobile signal. Why is this not important to them?!
