@HSBC_UK Well therein lies the difficulty. Online application is only for joint current account customers who are ‘new to HSBC’ which I am not. Over the phone we can’t seem to get past the standard check boxes which don’t cover our scenario of one existing customer / one new customer.

@HSBC_UK Another angry customer here. Been locked out of all online banking, and because I've had too many 'failed attempts' at security questions, I can't do anything. Just stuck in an endless cycle of 'go to our website' followed by 'do this in the app'. I can't reset ANYTHING!

@HSBC_UK We can’t visit a branch at the moment and you can’t open a joint account for one person - it would then be an individual account first. We want to switch our joint account from another provider but me being an existing individual customer seems to make that more difficult.
