@dgwbirch @Barclays Looks familiar. @HSBC_UK does the same thing. Go over your daily payment limit and, rather than say that, you get a indecipherable error message leaving you to imagine it’s an IT issue or worse. Why are established banks so bad at this stuff!?

It never ceases to amaze me that a full service bank @HSBC_UK can be so unhelpful. I only wanted to pay in a cheque (rarity I know) into my @firstdirect account, but it was all so much hassle. Machines not working, no paying in slips. Unhelpful staff! FD you are so much better!!

Dealing with @HSBC_UK at the moment is like being in Tartarus. I have spent over 10hrs on hold/trying to speak to someone. When you do they tell you a) they can’t help b) send a letter or c)use online chat. When I pick c) I then get directed back to to call the number

I called in the 1st place, for over 10hrs, who couldn’t help! This is for a charities bank account, where a significant donation is missing in your payments system. But literally no one cares @HSBC_UK or can help. I’m stuck in a circle with no solution
