My wife had been waiting 50 minutes to speak to a @HSBC_UK Business Banking Agent. This is NOT the first attempt either. Without any explanation the line became disconnected! Very poor customer service.

@_EmmaGH @HSBC_UK I gave up on them years ago, and I used to work for them. Online is dated. Customer service is awful. No US branches. Then there is the long string of egregious bad banking practices. Money laundering, rate rigging, offshoring and tax evasion. I’d change banks if I were you.

@_EmmaGH @HSBC_UK FCA complaint may be viable - they're simply not meant to leave you that long. I'd look at Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) in broad terms but I'm sure there's a thing about prompt response from a contact centre.

@_EmmaGH @HSBC_UK Switch to @firstdirect and never have to worry about bad customer service again. Not even a customer at the minute but their customer service was always unbelievable. Almost always speaking to someone within 3 rings

Shout out to @HSBC_UK for my dad's church down (you know, the one who is the vicar of the church) bc telling them they have the 30th of June to fill a thing out was a LIE and we've now basically been accused of money laundering.
