Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Risley and nearby locations:

  • SawdayJames James Sawday (@SawdayJames) reported from Manchester, England

Hello @O2 your network coverage across the UK is awful: there’s about one street in Manchester where I get a useable 4G signal and nowhere else. Definitely isn’t my devise as I’ve just been aboard and the signal worked perfectly. What are my options please?

  • J0eH0lmes Joe Holmes (@J0eH0lmes) reported from Salford, England

@O2 my phone is saying no sim so I have zero signal or data to call or text you. Any chance of getting someone to give me a ring to sort out a new sim card?

  • springviewer John Edgar (@springviewer) reported from Wigan, England

@shafterjay @O2 Now we're paying good money for no service

  • eagleeyedferret Adrian Simcox (@eagleeyedferret) reported from Urmston, England

@O2 Yes the original problem is still not resolved. Can you DM me please to sort it out as I’m not wasting any more time with your shocking overseas call centres. Have you not realised by now they are a false economy?

  • OliverBanks Oliver Banks 🇺🇦 (@OliverBanks) reported from Manchester, England

@O2 hi, how do I cancel a contract within the 14 day cooling off period please?

  • Andy_TheGrouch Andy (@Andy_TheGrouch) reported from Bryn, England

@O2 no chance i’m renewing, genuinely shite network coverage, cant make call when driving without it sounding like someone is under water & call failing. Mast been down in Ashton for over a week. Phone basically useless. Troubleshooting links are pointless - not good enough.

  • Dr_Bass Doctor Bass (@Dr_Bass) reported from Manchester, England

@O2 Hi, my 4G signal over the last few months has been dreadful. I’m currently sitting with 3 bars of 4G and waiting about 10-20 seconds for a picture to download. I thought it was just me but seen plenty others complaining.

  • SawdayJames James Sawday (@SawdayJames) reported from Manchester, England

@O2 Also sorry - but what’s the point in telling me to use a network checker if you don’t accept the results of the checker? That’s literally your app I’m using and it’s giving me terrible results.

  • eagleeyedferret Adrian Simcox (@eagleeyedferret) reported from Urmston, England

@O2 3/3 only conclusion I could reach is that your call centre staff are under pressure to make more calls and now routinely disconnect customer calls after a period of making no progress. What do you think??

  • CurryInTurry DJ Nerja 🇺🇦 (@CurryInTurry) reported from Manchester, England

@O2 @purpledolphins7 They didn't help me. They didn't apply the increase in speed. In fact they said I could have 1gig for £30 extraper month. False advertising and liars!

  • SawdayJames James Sawday (@SawdayJames) reported from Manchester, England

@O2 Hey - I have checked the guide. It’s not my device as it worked 100% better on a recent trip to France. It’s not the environment as this is something I experience everywhere (in Leicester, in Manchester, on trains, at festivals) - but your signal checker says I have good 4G.

  • JMcKnighty ~Jack 🐝 (@JMcKnighty) reported from Manchester, England

Really unimpressed with @O2 Contact Centre customer service. Working in customer service myself, I know changing a direct debit date shouldn't take 30 minutes with 2 agents, a dropped call, being called back, and then being told I need to call again tomorrow This should be 2 mins

  • SawdayJames James Sawday (@SawdayJames) reported from Manchester, England

@O2 Well I said I am having problems with my 4g, you told me to follow the guide which told me to use the network checker, I showed you the results of the network checker and you said 4G isn’t about speeds. So what’s the point in telling me to use the network checker?

  • itspaulactually Paul (@itspaulactually) reported from St Helens, England

Nah, @o2, you’re *************** now. If I’m in a crowd of more than 10, I get no signal. Tear up my contract now. @ee, you game?

  • grantmathieson Grant Griffiths-Mathieson (@grantmathieson) reported from Manchester, England

@BruceDevlin @O2 Has she maybe assumed data protection issue

  • DaveWrigh Dave Wright (@DaveWrigh) reported from Manchester, England

@BruceDevlin @grantmathieson @O2 I work in the industry (not for O2 though, although I have had internal dealings with them) and that does seem like a very odd course of action to recommend. DM me with your issue if you want and I’ll see if I can point you in the right direction?

  • eagleeyedferret Adrian Simcox (@eagleeyedferret) reported from Urmston, England

@O2 2/2 both occasions the call centres were noisy. Call centre operative didn’t speak very god English. Both operatives complaining their systems were slow or not working at all and putting me on hold for long periods.

  • chrisrogan Chris Rogan (@chrisrogan) reported from Manchester, England

Pee'd off at @GreggsOfficial and @O2 three weeks in a row with priority debacle. One week over charged, last week paid for my own this week walked out. Staff not trained in the offer and Greggs not responding to customer service emails. More Greggs issue than o2.

  • TomSaun67531334 Tommy (@TomSaun67531334) reported

@O2 2 hours later and the website is still ******. Unbelievably **** performance from o2. Seems they didn’t prepare for +1000 people to try at the same time

  • CazCrompo Caroline Crompton (@CazCrompo) reported

@O2 Unprecedented? It's Peter Kay! Not prepared I'd say. In the meantime it appears American Express have not had an epic technology fail and their customers are snapping up all the presale tickets.

  • laura53374735 L xoxo (@laura53374735) reported

@tjs0071 @O2 as a virgin media customer, I cannot access it either via the O2 app !! frustrating!!

  • TaniaPery taniaperry (@TaniaPery) reported

@O2 Disgusting!! I can’t even log into my O2 priority app. It returns a bad gateway error message. It was totally fine yesterday as I could just go straight in from my iPhone. Today it’s asking to physically log in.

  • Tmullen09 Tom Mullen (@Tmullen09) reported

For anyone thinking of joining @O2 as a service provider. I wouldn't expect much service. I decided to be a loyal customer and purchase through @O2 My upgrade has been stuck at processing for 7 days and i have had ZERO information about why.

  • BleachBunnii 𝐄𝐦 (@BleachBunnii) reported

@willhunter03 @Vicaah @O2 oh wtf, it lets me buy them?

  • am_doyle17 Tony Doyle (@am_doyle17) reported

@O2 shite service as usual, no data, no signal and low and behold crashes when @peterkay_co_uk tickets go live
