Sky Issues Reports Near Knottingley, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Knottingley and nearby locations:

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@SkyHelpTeam I'm not doing this just for my flat - it's for every flat on our estate. They cut all of us off and reduced all of our speeds. And they could do the same tomorrow if they wanted, as they have full control of the network. It's just hopeless.

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@OpenreachHelp @SkyHelpTeam .. has dropped as a result of Openreach's work (they've been out twice in fact). I then had an Openreach engineer out - he also confirmed the line speed was so slow because the line length was ridiculously long for no reason. After that..

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@SkyHelpTeam There's no point in another Sky engineer coming out as everything is the same as the past two times they did. It's all on Openreach, and they're just not interested in fixing the network for any of us on our estate.

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@SkyHelpTeam It's the exact same story with fibre to the flats on the estate - they either ignore us, or come up with another excuse as to why they have to delay doing anything about it and then ignore us again. All while they're here every day connecting up houses and fixing their network.

  • mart0777 MrPrice (@mart0777) reported from Leeds, England

@simonfromharlow Well said it's absolutely sh•te. If you call to complain or for tech support they keep waiting for 30 minutes then run through diagnostics that don't work. @skytv @SkyUK point blank refuse to send someone out. I'm changing supplier as soon as my contract runs out.

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@OpenreachHelp @SkyHelpTeam So I'm sorry David, but I've heard all this before and nothing happens. There are engineers ever present on our estate, allegedly fixing faults - please ask them to look at and fix the biggest fault of the lot, our line to the exchange.

  • m0apc Michael Brown (@m0apc) reported from Garforth, England

@SkyHelpTeam is there an issue with broadband in LS25 ? Seems to be dropping sync frequently

  • Spofforth Neil Spofforth (@Spofforth) reported from Leeds, England

@SkyHelpTeam why do you continue to use DPD? They have tried delivering my sky delivery to an address that is not mine and won’t redeliver today. I’ve taken day off work as today was delivery date. DPD told me that’s sky’s issue!!! Help.

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@OpenreachHelp @SkyHelpTeam .. nothing happened, as there's no interest within Openreach to fix the issue. Possibly because it means admitting the line speed dropped because of work your engineers did to install fibre to the area (but not to the majority of properties or any flats on our estate).

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@SkyHelpTeam I've spoken to yourselves a number of times, and we've came to the same conclusion each time that it's to do with Openreach's network and the work they did in September 2018. The last direct messages sent between yourselves and I was the 28th August 2020.

  • MrsAKnott Amie Knott (@MrsAKnott) reported from Thorne, England

@SkyHelpTeam The answer to my question is 8 weeks. It is 8 weeks before I can take this to the ombudsman. 9 months in, with a LOT of expense at my end to combat your poor service in order to work I'll be contacting them. Your prices warrant a much better customer experience than this

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@OpenreachHelp @SkyHelpTeam I appreciate it must be embarrassing that your teams have caused such disruption to an estate, but it is your issue to rectify. If it was up to Sky, the issue would have been sorted within days along - unfortunately, its not and we have to go through Openreach.

  • kaw7676 Karen Walsh (@kaw7676) reported from Normanton, England

If your sky fibre broadband goes down at Christmas DONT expect much compensation. Five days no service and received £3.75 @SkyUK

  • StewForsyth Stewart (@StewForsyth) reported from Leeds, England

@OpenreachHelp Sky @SkyHelpTeam will be able to confirm we've tried this multiple times. It's been escalated to your high level complaints team, but still Openreach won't do anything about the issue. We have no other options in this area - the only network available belongs to Openreach.

  • GervaseWebb GervaseWebb (@GervaseWebb) reported from Leeds, England

@SkyHelpTeam @TehPipp Poor you. Trying to communicate with Sky at the moment. Absolutely hopeless. Teacher trying to teach a class remotely with no internet. Brilliant work, Sky!

  • CTymon Char (@CTymon) reported from Leeds, England

@SkySports Hi, your decal - or whatever you call it - just b4 ads in your coverage of the NFL. It is way too loud. Please turn it down several notches. Thanks.

  • Al_Cooper7 Allen Cooper (@Al_Cooper7) reported

@SkyHelpTeam It says there’s no order in progress. It’s to do with a technical problem, not a new dish/box

  • fieldy46 Fieldy (@fieldy46) reported

@SkyHelpTeam Done this twice, and cleared all the cache & data. This seems to be a common issue after doing some googling.. Think it needs the developer to have a looksie at it

  • ChazScholefield Chaz Scholefield (@ChazScholefield) reported

@SkyHelpTeam Hi Sky Help. Our Broadband has now been no more than 12Mbps for 2 days. Via MySky yesterday I was told an engineer would be sent to fix an issue outside the house. Today I can’t even get onto the site to check progress. Speed right now is 11.9Mbps for downloading. Please advise!
