@TalkTalk my partner's gran is isolating alone and is 86 years old. Her internet hasn't been working for a week and we've called the automated line but no one has got back yet. She's in the vulnerable category and we need to get her back online. Any help would be appreciated.

Three and TalkTalk are down at home, guessing not enough capacity as everyone is at home!

  • Silecta S!lecta/Eclecticist (@Silecta) reported from Poplar, England

@TalkTalk Many of us are working from home and rely on a stable internet connection. You are still yet to indicate what the problem was/is and it leaves a large quantity of your customers in doubt as to whether you a a suitable service provider

  • Jeaneauk1 Jeane Anderson (@Jeaneauk1) reported from Bromley, England

@TalkTalk your ridiculously BAD broadband coverage doesn’t get any better I am so fed up of buffering buffering buffering - please do not message me with “oh let us test the line” where you tell me I can resolve the problem by paying more money - shysters !!

  • adjemal Aydin Djemal (@adjemal) reported from Bromley, England

@SamGate82667604 @TrevGates @TalkTalk All I have heard is bad things about talk talk. What they have done and still not rectifying while we are on lockdown is disgraceful. Sham on you @TalkTalk

  • matthewcarter7 Matthew Carter (@matthewcarter7) reported from London, England

@RSdriver00 @TalkTalk That is very poor. Never been with them, but heard a few tales. Best way is to find new provider and they will migrate across. When I left Virgin I went back to BT 6 years ago now, was the best decision, but varies a lot depending on post code. Good luck!

  • Hols_79 sןoH 🙃 (@Hols_79) reported from Abridge, England

@Tractorgirl @TalkTalk @VodafoneUK My internet is so slow that when I video call a group of friends I'm unable to join in. They can't hear me and my screen keeps freezing, I can only communicate by typing in chat whilst watching them chat away to each other. I live alone, internet is so important for me to connect

  • Jones1966Lisa lisa jones (@Jones1966Lisa) reported from Dartford, England

@CooganLuke @TalkTalk Same @TalkTalk shouldn’t even say they are here to help! Take down the service

  • Hols_79 sןoH 🙃 (@Hols_79) reported from Abridge, England

Hi @talktalk could you let me know how I can cancel my Internet with you. Phonelines and chat bot all closed.

  • Hols_79 sןoH 🙃 (@Hols_79) reported from Abridge, England

@Tractorgirl @TalkTalk It's crazy, their message is that they're not running those services because of covid which suggests they haven't managed to make the move to working from home. I would've just upgraded with them but instead I'm moving to @VodafoneUK who've been great and will cancel TT for me.

  • nora_selinah Nora Selina Helal (@nora_selinah) reported from London, England

@talktalk are really hopeless. Terrible broadband & no support during the outbreak. I have tried contacting @talktalk for 2 weeks - no success! @MoneyTelegraph

  • Silecta S!lecta/Eclecticist (@Silecta) reported from Poplar, England

@TalkTalk On the day, you had a large number of people in East London including vulnerable people and key workers trying various ways to get an indication you know of a problem in the area. Your Twitter continued putting out automated posts but didn't acknowledge the problem or help us.

  • Jones1966Lisa lisa jones (@Jones1966Lisa) reported from Dartford, England

@TalkTalk My broadband is too slow, was on the phone for an hour why can’t TalkTalk increase the speed seeing as a majority of people are working from home

  • ladyzfave Grant Moreland (@ladyzfave) reported from Gravesend, England

@TalkTalk already done this around 6times & every time it says it's ok. I still need to reset my router 3 to 4 times a day. I wish to cancel my contract please let me know how I can do this as your not answering the phone

  • Hols_79 sןoH 🙃 (@Hols_79) reported from Abridge, England

@Tractorgirl @TalkTalk @VodafoneUK If that happens I'll just cancel my dd and accept a number change. I don't understand how one of the biggest broadband companies don't have the technology to move their staff to home working and continue operating.

  • henerrrrs H (@henerrrrs) reported from Basildon, England

@TalkTalk honestly, the worst customer service I’ve EVER experienced. My problem still isn’t sorted

TalkTalk Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Malcx97 X (@Malcx97) reported

@financialombuds @TalkTalk Hi, the solution Talk Talk provided does not work!!!! Case to remain open !

  • BradburyMaureen Maureen Bradbury - #THE HORSES MOUTH #FBPE (@BradburyMaureen) reported

@TalkTalk @Google 16. My PC says my files are visible & is telling me to change my File Sharing settings. I have never set file sharing & I can't change them because TalkTalk needs to Miracast enable their Ethernet connection for older PCs (prior to 2015) to go online or provide a Miracast Dongle.

  • Sanchellis Jonny ellis (@Sanchellis) reported

Part2 @TalkTalk from that moment the Internet went down for my TalkTalk Wi-Fi and I’m also assuming the telephone signal has also gone down too. I contacted OpenReach to tell them about this issue and they wouldn’t listen and passed the book stating it is up to your provider….

  • BradburyMaureen Maureen Bradbury - #THE HORSES MOUTH #FBPE (@BradburyMaureen) reported

@TalkTalk @Google 18. A Miracast Alliance document dated 2015 (which I told TT about) explains that manufacturers should ensure that, if a device is not Mirocast enabled (and therefore won't go online) it shoudn't indicate WiFi failure, security issues or give a blank screen (but my PC does).

  • BradburyMaureen Maureen Bradbury - #THE HORSES MOUTH #FBPE (@BradburyMaureen) reported

@TalkTalk @Google 10. I felt someone had taken over my connection, so TalkTalk sent me a black router, but it didn't solve the problems. Before xmas I had used the Samsung S7 phone without a sim to take pictures & I was shown how to forward them to my gmail address, over my TT home WiFi...

  • BradburyMaureen Maureen Bradbury - #THE HORSES MOUTH #FBPE (@BradburyMaureen) reported

@TalkTalk @Google There are a lot of TT customers & others who have had the same problems as me. Even TT & Openreach Technicians can't understand what the problems are. We all need proper written instructions & a list of technical terms & abbreviations (all of which I found with Google's help).

  • BradburyMaureen Maureen Bradbury - #THE HORSES MOUTH #FBPE (@BradburyMaureen) reported

@TalkTalk @Google I have also realised from what I have Googled that the reason my Chromebook becomes unstable when it connects to WiFi Direct is because Miracast technology was originally designed to mirror one screen to another eg a phone to a TV & it needs a stable connection to a single stream

  • Sanchellis Jonny ellis (@Sanchellis) reported

Part1 @TalkTalk 2 days ago (after continuously trying to get in touch with this company with no response or resolving my issue I have got no further with my fault.. outside my property and OpenReach van and was doing some works with the telephone poles outside from that moment…

  • sjblakemore Prof Sarah-Jayne Blakemore (@sjblakemore) reported

@talktalk I have a saved chat with you from February 2021 saying you will disconnect broadband services on 12.03.2021. This never happened and you have continued to bill since. Can you explain why?

  • bicskeit80 Bicskei Tibor (@bicskeit80) reported

@virginmedia It says ‘No network issue found’. I spent half an hour doing what your chatbot was suggesting this morning. I am a software engineer team lead wfh in need of a reliable connection. I had more issues with @virginmedia in 3 months than with @TalkTalk in 5 years. I am disappointed
