@virginmedia Hi. Is there a difference between cat 5E & cat6 & cat7 ethernet performance wise on your network 🤔. I'm using cat 6 ethernet from my hub 3.0 to your provided powerline booster . Then from powerline booster to my V6 box. I'm using cat7 ethernet from hub 3.0 to V6 🤔

  • ElJaffoGuzman
    ElJaffoGuzman (@ElJaffoGuzman) reported

Been with @virginmedia for 7 years now. The best "deal" they can offer me is 500mbs down (boosted to 1gb because of my cell plan) for £51 a month. Or I can swap to youfiber, £30 a month for 2gb up/down 🥴 @virginmedia you aren't the best choice no more. customer retention sucks.

@virginmedia can you tell me why I had one of your employees hang up on me abruptly today after speaking to me like utter rubbish when I confirmed I would be cancelling my contract. Complete and utter obnoxious ignorance.

  • Coleman48J
    john (@Coleman48J) reported

Ofcom has fined Virgin Media a record £28 million for repeatedly making it difficult for customers to cancel their contracts. The regulator found the company used "deliberate" tactics to delay or block millions of customer cancellations.

  • Minutemarketio
    Minute Market (@Minutemarketio) reported

Virgin Media Gets Fined 🫰 Virgin Media was hit with a £28 million, or roughly $37 million, fine by UK regulator Ofcom for repeatedly making it harder for customers to cancel contracts between 2022 and 2024. That is not just a consumer-rights story. It is a warning for telecom and subscription businesses that “retention tricks” can become regulatory liabilities. In a market obsessed with recurring revenue, cancellation friction is now a legal risk.

  • LRNA11
    LaurenA (@LRNA11) reported

@MartinSLewis Another major issue with Virgin Media (and possibly other similar providers) is that they don’t provide customers an option for “No Roll-on” at the end of the contract. Their reminders are puny and twice I got caught with paying almost double monthly rates after contract. 1/

  • liz_langfield
    Liz Langfield (@liz_langfield) reported

@ArturNadol7566 So Virgin Media has to pay a fine of £28m for the deliberate mistreatment of customers. But where does that money actually go? Certainly not to their customer-victims of their mistreatment. As always, fines paid by large corporations and companies NEVER benefit the victims.

  • BluemoonAmy
    Amy McManus (@BluemoonAmy) reported

@virginmedia Had no broadband service since Tuesday evening. Service update showed fix yesterday by 16:07, then today at 16:07 and now tomorrow at 16:07. Totally unacceptable. When will this be sorted. M46.
