@virginmedia Yes, all we get is a known outage, but been like this for 6/7 hours now. No word or updates have been given.

  • DaveGarside Dave Garside❤️🇾🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️⛳️🎸 (@DaveGarside) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia Yes there are and there were all 3 times. Currently 4.00pm estimated to be fixed but that’s my Saturday pretty much gone without any service

  • exvista_eamonn exvista (@exvista_eamonn) reported from Stockport, England

@virginmedia Eventually. Very poor service. Your call centre staff are difficult to deal with. So disappointing as your broadband and TV are so good.

  • WrenJohn John Wren (@WrenJohn) reported from Oldham, England

@virginmedia told by them today that problems with “catch up” service not something that was paid for so in effect had to put up with the poor performance, in the end offered a tenner! Perhaps there is a better solution, ie get rid of them & get someone who cares 🖕

  • shuttsi77 Richard Shuttleworth (@shuttsi77) reported from Wilmslow, England

@virginmedia why won’t my Apple devices work properly on your personal WiFi? What is the solution or should I start charging my phone data bills to you. Your boss heads to space, brilliant but his customers can’t get consistent WiFi in the 21st century. Please help.

  • IanCardy2 Ian Cardy (@IanCardy2) reported from Ashton-under-Lyne, England

Unsolicited sales call from @virginmedia offering me an upgrade but pay more! Why would I pay more when the services you already provide are slow & outdated with zero customer service. Prove it works & then maybe 🤔 but £99 a month is already too much!

  • shuttsi77 Richard Shuttleworth (@shuttsi77) reported from Wilmslow, England

@virginmedia Just Apple, they struggle to connect and buffer whereas non Apple laptops are fine, for example. Either that or it’s our WiFi? Please help?

  • mrcritchy Neil Critch (@mrcritchy) reported from Chapel-en-le-Frith, England

@ollyknights @virginmedia If you need any further help Olly DM me NP at all. I only hope they haven’t been calling Long Distance

  • twiddlemeister Dave (@twiddlemeister) reported from Cheadle Hulme, England

@dj_damien @virginmedia I once had an advisor tell me that my services (that were going down for an hour or so once a day, every day for a week) must have had no issues because I was downloading tens of GB a day. Can’t wait for BT to put their gigabit lines in round here. Will switch in a heartbeat.

  • rebeccahw_x Rebecca🐕 (@rebeccahw_x) reported from Manchester, England

wifi down again @virginmedia in M22 area :/

  • exvista_eamonn exvista (@exvista_eamonn) reported from Stockport, England

@virginmedia your customer service is appalling! After more than 20mins, I finally spoke to someone who confirmed an engineer had been booked. When I checked via chat today I was told no appointment had been made and after a further 30mins offered an appointment a week later.

  • DidymusBrush Paul Holmes (@DidymusBrush) reported from Manchester, England

@cliffchapman @LGUK @virginmedia It'd be a challenge as the broadband is upstairs in the front of the house and the TV is downstairs at the back. But the connection has been v reliable... and seems to be elsewhere on other devices. The TV also keeps losing my Galaxy S10 signal too, so I think it's the problem.

  • NiallDouglass Niall Douglass (@NiallDouglass) reported from Manchester, England

Keep getting some threatening emails from #virginmedia about the return of media kit. Still waiting for them to pick up as a previously agreed confirmation date was made via their site. Worst customer service ever #virgin #virginmedia

  • DidymusBrush Paul Holmes (@DidymusBrush) reported from Manchester, England

@virginmedia Having now wired the TV in via an ethernet powerline kit, the problem is definitely with the Internet, I'm afraid... as the Chromecast on the WiFi system in the same tv is cutting out periodically when the TV isn't. Do you do WiFi boosters or something similar?

  • rebeccahw_x Rebecca🐕 (@rebeccahw_x) reported from Manchester, England

    @virginmedia M22 area wifi not working :/

  • HuddersfieldTi2 Huddersfield Times (@HuddersfieldTi2) reported from Huddersfield, England

@iamaafaq @virginmedia Mine is the same. Though I suspect it's my router rather than the actual connection. Been through the tech support nonsense and they keep saying it must be my device 🙄 funny that 3 laptops, 2 tablets, 3 phones, a few Alexas and a robot hoover called Bernard all go off.

  • WrenJohn John Wren (@WrenJohn) reported from Oldham, England

So many problems @virginmedia this year, poor system, poor WiFI, poor connections, poor customer service, all seem to be continually getting worse as does the response to complaints. Anyone else putting up with this poor quality? @skytv looking a clear future prospect

  • dannyjd19 daniel dries (@dannyjd19) reported from Huddersfield, England

@virginmedia your service is just terrible from start to finish everything is difficult. Couldn’t be further from the positive customer experience I have received from @skytv

  • MaryAkram3 M A R Y (@MaryAkram3) reported from Oldham, England

@virginmedia Shittest internet going problems after problems we’ve had for a week and we pay a fortune!!

  • shackmcfc ShackMcfc (@shackmcfc) reported from Oldham, England

@virginmedia how do I report cabinet damage that needs urgent attention? Tried the number but option 2 to speak to someone just rings out

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • KatePinkSmith Kate Smith (@KatePinkSmith) reported

@virginmedia What I want you to do is actually be helpful and not default to complaint as the resolution. Why are you putting the onus on the customer when I’ve clearly articulated what’s wrong with the process? Why aren’t you taking ownership and taking this away to escalate & feedback?!🙄😡

  • Funkhouser67 Marty Funkhouser (@Funkhouser67) reported

@virginmedia We called on 06/03/22 to give the 30 days notice to cancel the broadband and phone and was told that the service would end on 05/04/22 and that the next bill would be in credit as the direct debit taken on 08/03/22 was for service up to 07/04/22. Then 1/

  • hayley23886 hayley rose (@hayley23886) reported

@virginmedia The last time i was told an estimated fix time was 18th March and its safe to say we are well past that date!!

  • jennytaylor1 Jenny Tea ❤ (@jennytaylor1) reported

@virginmedia CV6 area all services down. No Internet or TV. I work from home!!! How long will it be before everything is up and running again? #virginmediadown

  • GREENCarolM Carol Green (@GREENCarolM) reported

@primevideosport Is anyone else having problems getting the tennis on Amazon Prime using @virginmedia V6 box? On my TV it is not showing Sports on the menu, but it does show it when I access Amazon Prime Video on my PC. Virgin Media Help is rubbish.

  • fachtnaroe Fachtna (@fachtnaroe) reported

@CunninghamLaura @beatingblog I got rid of Virgin Media TV a few years back, & never regretted it. I have Netflix, can still watch TV online if I must, & get my news etc. Cable companies provide lots of channels, which are focussed on dross to fill 24 hour schedules, rather than entertaining us. Go for it!

  • LauraFBrown80 LauraFBrown (@LauraFBrown80) reported

So after 61 minutes the advisor says I can’t transfer we have a problem I will call you back immediately, guess what no call back @virginmedia @BBCWatchdog

  • TheLLCouture LL Couture Hair (@TheLLCouture) reported

@virginmedia surely you are able to advise the appropriate team to call me. This is a serious matter and I want to speak to an appropriate senior manager who can resolve all the outstanding issues not another agent whose remit is limited

  • Funkhouser67 Marty Funkhouser (@Funkhouser67) reported

@virginmedia ..couldn't explain what this was for before cutting me off. I didn't raise my voice or use any abusive language so it seems like it was a difficult query to resolve and they didn't want to deal with it. I asked twice for a complaint to be raised. This wasn't done 3/

  • LauraFBrown80 LauraFBrown (@LauraFBrown80) reported

The level of service from @virginmedia is terrible 3 calls and cut off each time I ask for a manager/supervisor @BBCWatchdog
