@virginmedia I just turned everything off at the mains and restarted it all and that seems to have sorted it. Don’t know why I didn’t think to try that before. Thanks for your help and suggestions 👍

@virginmedia Your customer service is absolutely shocking. You have cut off a vulnerable pensioner twice in the past 72 hours for reasons of your own error, leaving her with no means of communication whilst apparently being unable to fix the issue for 24 hours. Shocking! 🤬

@virginmedia Yeah I got it sorted however 1hr on a phone line at 30p per minute is not cheap taking a full hour to sort something that is simple is very poor customer service especially for loyal customers

@virginmedia I’m paying for 200mbps and sometimes I achieve that, like now, but I still can’t watch @BBCiPlayer without constant buffering. This “local” issue was supposed to be sorted. Seriously considering other options to watch @BBCMOTD

@virginmedia I was advised to apply for the indemnity off a supervisor no one said it would be added on at a later date and the whole reason it happened was because an advisor on the chat told me I would have no charges to pay in feb this is my problem too much Erin info and no one fixing it

@virginmedia I’ve done all that and it always says “no issues” but often when you get through on the phone you’re told there are and engineers are working on it. I’m just fed up of having to go through all the tests and restarts every time I want to record something or watch catch-up tv

@virginmedia Broadband once again running at 50% bandwidth, at most. Not funny with parents working from home plus 2 teenagers doing home learning. Should I now just pay half my bill for half the service?

Hey @virginmedia why do you make it so easy to upgrade (a couple of mouse clicks) but almost impossible to downgrade unless you’re prepared to wait in a phone queue for hours? Not great service is it?

-
Mike Surtees

@getgomez @virginmedia I love the Virgin brand but, I’ll never go with @virginmedia again after similar issues. We gave 30 days written notice in Oct 19 and cancelled our DD. They continued to bill and chase for over 6 months.

@virginmedia I would prefer if some checks could be made on my equipment or the connections coming into property as I fully expect the situation to reoccur in next 24 hours. Whilst I can reboot and carry on, I do not feel that given the regularity of this problem is something acceptable.
