And pricks of the day award goes to @virginmedia . 89 Year old mother forgot to pay her bill , €30 over the Christmas. Dad 93 was in hospital for a Hip replacement, so bills understandably forgotten you'd think . Nah , the world we live in and Virgin media cut the Service.

@tumsh21 @virginmedia Terrible mate! Brought the service to Musselburgh and I’ve not heard anyone saying they are satisfied. Biggest complaint has been around customer service. Sales answer calls in 2 mins. Customer service 45 + mins

I will never, as long as I live, use Virgin Media or indeed anything related to that horrible brand. Have been treated appallingly by Virgin Media Ireland. Cancelled a service of theirs only to be billed for 3 successive months *and* receive a threatening letter.

@p_burnzzz @pauldonaldillon @irishfabian @NUJofficial @rte Agree - if they were all removed RTE would still have financial issues. If it’s like the rest of the public sector, salaries are probably 40% higher than equivalents in Virgin Media, Communicorp, etc.

@virginmedia Yes, my equipment is fine, my neighbours internet goes off and on same as mine so i can safely say the problem lies with the signal to the cabinet, can i ask if yous will come out and turn the cabinet off and on again

@virginmedia As you can see it's fine in most parts of the house I understand the signal will be weaker the further away you are and the more ppl on it etc. But as you can see its totally dropping out in a matter of yards its not been gr8 since installation but this week has been the worst

@megaancar I doubt you are the worlds no 1 Virgin Media WiFi hater. I’ve been holding for customer support for 30 mins (they said the wait was 20), my hate is growing. Our broadband works about 30% of the time but they charge us for 100%. 34 mins and counting.

@virginmedia Struggling to understand how 1G of Internet turns into nothing just coming down some stairs. I'm assuming it's your hub/router as when I was on 86meg with so a tenth slower I got better WiFi all be it with their discs

@virginmedia Well after ringing virgin yesterday we today received a new router (not an upgrade but same as I already have). Fast service when you want to #virgin. Only time will tell if problems are sorted. And please fix green cabinet at end of street so wires are not exposed! Dangerous!!
