@John_B_Stewart @British_Airways Having worked in Support for 25 years, unfortunately I know all of the maths. Outsourcer gives good price, undestaffs, survives QBRs with client. Company saves, customer and call agents are all in hell. See also: NTL/Virgin Media and all iterations thereof.

@BeardofRice1 @virginmedia They received my letter on Tuesday. It was only a couple of quid to get it recorded and I have proof of delivery. It's on their website that you can cancel in writing, and it fulfills your obligation. They haven't responded yet, but we'll see.

@larracroft @virginmedia There are lots of other options. Hyperoptic, Cuckoo, many smaller providers that have great customer service and offer better latency (ie. better streaming) and should be able to match VMs speed once Openreach Ultrafast Full Fibre is rolled out nationwide (end of 2024, I think)

@virginmedia Tried those. 150 doesn't work as you're "too busy to answer" and the other number you get through to someone after 45minutes who won't talk to me because I don't remember the "different password to talk to someone" than to log into my account with. Ludicrous

@virginmedia I want to cancel my service. Before I can do that I have to speak to someone in customer retention/cancellations. They’re not coming back to me. But it’s dead easy to get through if you’re a new customer. Seems like you need to shuffle some staff about a bit.

10 days until we with the broadband and phone to @virginmedia and they still haven't got it right! We will be cut off from old supplier without a line. had 2 unsuccessful calls already and now 20 minutes into this one on hold. Can you help here?
