    @geekygirldawn @virginmedia Happened at my house a few months ago. Turned out a local farmer cut the fiber with a backhoe while trying to dig a trench. They fixed it, but didn’t acknowledge the outage until after it had been resolved...

    @virginmedia I wasn’t waiting to get through, the problem is related to communication skills, being able to listen to exactly the customer’s needs and being able to evaluate what is required, checking in with the customer to clarify needs- good listen and analysis needed

If there is an IT policy and parts of it are not generally enforced but an employer uses the strict terms of the policy to dismiss an employee, the employee could have their dismissal blocked, overturned or be compensated. There must be fairness and due process.

    Everyone should seriously consider changing their virgin media passwords if they use it in another place (common sense really) but yall should consider finding another ISP until they finally fix this

    @simonrim @virginmedia You wait for the actual service and dealing with support when you get cut off unexpectedly! Worst mistake I ever made going with them, ended up with no service for a month and eventually changed provider for half the price and more reliable.

    @VirginMediaIE @SamiHaahtinen Ack, it totally makes sense to delay a page based on dependent service; but last time I recall it was a lot of time. This is one of many times my home is not affected by ESB outage, just the Virgin Media service. Anyway, now you know some affected homes don't lose power :)

    @VirginMediaIE Since moving to virgin media I don’t think I’ve ever had more than 2 bars of coverage! Sometimes it just knocks off which is very worrying especially if I’m in an area with no WiFi. I’m in Dublin City so and haven’t changed location so I don’t know what the problem is

    The actual hack of Irish TV at the moment. Bridget and Eamon on RTE and the laughably appalling Darklands on Virgin Media. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as hideously bad on Irish Television.

    In #mobile news, Virgin Mobile launched a new offer of 40GB of data, unlimited 📞 & unlimited texts for just €5p/m for five months for existing Virgin Media customers & just €20p/m for non customers. All on a 30-day, SIM-only plan. Not bad!

When responding to a tweet clearly pointing out how bad their chat bot is they feel the need to give an excuse "this is a chat bot", revealing how little notice they take even when actively trying to engage

    @virginmedia Yep. But it’s not our hub. It’s your network. He cannot fix. He’s gone. Might be Tuesday might be Friday. This has been down since Monday. This is disastrous. Unprecedented too. Never had to wait so long. I always defended you. I cannot any longer. Change of ownership?

    @RachelBull10 @virginmedia I did a year with them, never again! Have you spoken to OFCOM? They may be better for you than the CAB? You can use Resolver? They deal with complaints for you? It’s likely cab will direct you to ofcom and you can ask for your report to be corrected if they find in your favour

    @virginmedia On Monday I was told it was my hub. Then a few minutes later told it was outage. Apparently that was fixed. Then this morning seems it wasn’t. And cannot be fixed before Tuesday or Friday ?
