  • adrianweckler
Adrian Weckler (@adrianweckler) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

Virgin Media Ireland says it doesn’t have a “repair time frame” on a sizeable broadband outage affecting “the Dublin area”. It hopes that the undiagnosed issue will be fixed today as, “given the scale it would be very rare for this to continue for the full day”.

  • MeganRoantree
Megan Roantree (@MeganRoantree) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

The fact that there is a weird, outdated weight-loss show on Virgin Media 2 just before #LoveIsland is just wild to me. So many young people are tuning in to watch Love Island and catching even 15 mins of this before hand does so much damage and is also just really out of touch?

  • john003
John003 (@john003) reported from Fingal County, Leinster

@griptmedia @john_mcguirk From RTE point of view cheap price...Means they never have to have John McGuirk on again for fear of libel....Newstalk and Virgin media can use the same excuse....

  • HazelPBP
Cllr Hazel De Nortúin (@HazelPBP) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia I'm being charged for a mobile phone service that I cancelled two years ago. I'm still having trouble reaching someone to fix it.

  • jamesmcc2000
jamesmcc (@jamesmcc2000) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia now waiting 45mins for support to pick up - you said 20mins! The problem is your service is so awful I can’t do this online. Please let me know if the 20mins is a lie and that you don’t answer at all.

  • Planty1929
Graham (@Planty1929) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

Love Virgin Media man, nothing like a good random WiFi outage for an hour during the work day. 10/10

  • mandobanjo
Mandy Kenny (@mandobanjo) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@virginmedia need to speak to someone about cancelling maintenance appointment urgently. Keep getting cut off in call centre and website not working

  • TadhgKenny1

Shocking experience @virginmedia trying to cancel a technical appointment which was never agreed to in the 1sr place.

  • 56Hz
dave anderson 💙 (@56Hz) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@John_B_Stewart @British_Airways Having worked in Support for 25 years, unfortunately I know all of the maths. Outsourcer gives good price, undestaffs, survives QBRs with client. Company saves, customer and call agents are all in hell. See also: NTL/Virgin Media and all iterations thereof.

  • d__hughes
Darren Hughes (@d__hughes) reported from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Leinster

Analyst on Virgin Media, presumably being paid to be there, claiming he’d fancy United more 2-0 down than at nil all case in point why football coverage nearly unwatchable these days

  • KieranKelly1988
Kieran Kelly (@KieranKelly1988) reported from Dublin City, Leinster

@Andrewkdublin @SkySports Seems to be a Virgin Media issue, Sky customers can watch it no bother.

  • finto182
Finto182🇮🇪 (@finto182) reported from Firhouse, Leinster

@BlodAxeMox @ItsRusherr I had a similar issue about 18 months ago and it was actually Virgin Media at fault! Congestion on line and old splitters coming from the box on the street into my apartment! Might be worth a call to the ISP rush! For me it was timeouts on the line causing it .

  • RHoldsworth1969
Richard Holdsworth (@RHoldsworth1969) reported from Fingal County, Leinster

@SkyIreland unbelievably poor service. New SkyQ upgrade - spent over €2k per year for last 10 years of loyalty, box faulty & best service you can give is engineer out in 6 days. I’ll be off to @virginmedia unless this changes. #CustomerService

@longlaneroyal @virginmedia I don't understand why anyone uses Virgin Media. I've literally never met a happy customer of theirs. Plusnet forever and always.

  • johngunn2
    johngunn (@johngunn2) reported

@virginmedia @CliveR39 The last time I checked a couple of days ago it gave an estimated fix of 28th August. Which considering it’s been at least a week since it went down is a considerable length of time to not receive the service we’re paying for.

  • dansmurph
    Daniel Murphy (@dansmurph) reported

@DartingMelon @alexand979677 @virginmedia Easiest thing to do is phon them up and ask for a loss of service credit, they literally have to give you the money back. No need to wait for the ombudsman etc. you only really need that when your at the deadlock stage

  • LOCthedreamer2
    Luke O' Connor (@LOCthedreamer2) reported

It's a scandal that these media companies spend your money in order to try and influence how you think. Virgin Media received 3 million euro worth of state grants from Coimisiún na Meain last year. They would never think of doing a documentary on how immigration has negatively impacted the economy or society, which is why it is so galling to see them propagandise the immigration scam in Ireland. #HowIrelandWorks

  • piercetravers26
    Pierce Travers (@piercetravers26) reported

@celticbars Virgin media 2 in Ireland are showing the game next Tuesday if any1 has a vpn it’ll get round the issue and be free to watch on the virgin media player website

  • swindon124759
    Swindon! (@swindon124759) reported

@virginmedia when I press the red button to access sky sports plus I no longer receive an error message. Has my box been successfully updated to fix this issue and I should now expect no further issues from this incident? Thanks @Virgin

  • LeeDeacy90
    Lee (@LeeDeacy90) reported

@virginmedia who in their right mind decided that a software update was a good idea on the weekend the Premier League launches. Literally had no issue with my Sky or Sky+ yet you choose to do a update on the weekend the football launches. Absolutely shambolic decision making.
