Virgin Media Ireland says it doesn’t have a “repair time frame” on a sizeable broadband outage affecting “the Dublin area”. It hopes that the undiagnosed issue will be fixed today as, “given the scale it would be very rare for this to continue for the full day”.

@F_Silvia95 @virginmedia Hi Sylvia, I spoke to James on the Customer Service Team and he has advised that they are aware of an outage in the area. There is an Engineer on site and an estimated repair time is 12 o'clock. Hopefully it will be sorted sooner 🤞

@Alexrose90 @virginmedia Don't worry, last nights Merseyside Derby coverage was awful. VHS style pictures with pixellations and a 30 second delay compared to coverage on mobile phone. Was sent goal notifications 30 sec before pictures on screen. Very poor from Amazon.
