Ps I've already tried turning the router off and on, I don't have a landline phone either to check the line, and I use a Chromebook with no ethernet port

My grandad recently rang to renew her HBB and EE tv, on inspection of her contact and setting up her new unit your customer adviser has changed her to fibre broadband with no EE tv. Malcolm Sillick (@Malcolm_Sillick) reported@LeilaniDowding @EE Lellani, it's not just EE, it's everyone. Even those on cable (Virgin Media) still have to have the phone plugged into the router. Seems like a good idea, until you get a power cut (which can be supported by a back-up battery, which is NOT given as standard) If the internet goes down, then so does your phone. Great if you have a mobile, but if you live in an area with a poor mobile signal, so reply on 'Wi-Fi calling' in the house, then when the internet goes down, you also have no mobile service. It's called progress!!
