@vmbusinesshelp What is the plan? 24 hours no internet in LS29 radio silence. I definitely won’t be renewing my @vmbusiness account no customer service on the phone or online chat.

@virginmedia Hi there, Thanks for your reply, you’re the nicest feedback I’ve had from virgin media so far! I have no clue why I’m not eligible; what does the customer have to go through to be eligible for a technician to come and examine why the signal from the hub keeps on dropping out

  • T_J_PetSupplies
Tyler-James Ltd (@T_J_PetSupplies) reported from Ilkley, England

@Virgin_Victoria @virginmedia Thank you. They’re fully aware but are doing absolutely nothing to sort the problem. We haven’t had any broadband since the 24th of August! As a business it’s near impossible to operate with broadband these days. It’s so frustrating.

  • lordairey
James Airey (@lordairey) reported from Wetherby, England

@TomMockridgeVM @virginmedia finally cancelled! Only took 40 minutes - for the record they could not have cared less! Worst company I have dealt with for a long time

  • safaribrit
Chris Martin FRGS (@safaribrit) reported from Kirkby Malzeard, England

@virginmedia 1 hour and 42 minutes queueing for a help desk operator to take a call from an 87 year old “shielding” old lady who can’t set up her self install box. Absolutely shoddy customer service. You should be ashamed.

  • Ripark114
Richard Parker (@Ripark114) reported from Pannal, England

@virginmedia @Ambo2005 I cancelled mine under the 30 day terms (on 3rd try) and my service was immediately disconnected. Now I’m told I have to wait up to 72 hours to be reconnected. Clearly not good enough but what can you do?

@virginmedia This is a small house, I have not had this problem in the 5 years we’ve had Virgin and, unfortunately, I cannot afford an extra £3 per month to see whether a booster is a solution.

  • TonzerWee
Tom Whewell (@TonzerWee) reported from Guiseley, England

@virginmedia Every year you seem to stick on an extra 3 or 4 quid for no extra quality in service. I really don’t know why I stay with your mobile service. It’s appalling. I rally should leave.

  • jacksplats
Jack Clarkson (@jacksplats) reported from Guiseley, England

  • GazaniaGal
Susan Turner (@GazaniaGal) reported from Wetherby, England

@virginmedia Checked all rooms - this is a small detached house - every room says cannot receive a signal except the living room. A conservatory is in direct sight of the Hub and maybe only 10 meters away; Kitchen Same distance with just one wall. In every room, it recommended a booster .

@virginmedia Not good when a customer has just negotiated a new deal though. As long as your shareholders pockets are well filled I guess 👍

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • IFBMedia
    IFB Media (@IFBMedia) reported

This is the problem LOI TV and Virgin Media can’t solve on their own. Both have done more for this league in a few years than RTÉ managed in decades. Let that sit for a second. A streaming service and a commercial broadcaster have outworked the national broadcaster on its own game. RTÉ isn’t short on money. It’s short on will. Every household in this country funds that broadcaster through the licence fee. League of Ireland clubs are part of that country too. Yet the domestic game still gets treated like an inconvenience, squeezed out whenever something bigger comes along… That’s not neutrality. That’s a broadcaster showing you exactly where its priorities sit. And it ain’t with covering our Domestic Football teams irrespective of whether it’s home, abroad or both. Other platforms shouldn’t be doing RTÉ’s job for it. They shouldn’t have to. A national broadcaster shows up for the national game. Consistently. Not when it suits the schedule. Until RTÉ treats League of Ireland like it matters, everyone else will keep doing the job it was funded to do. That’s not a compliment to the others. It’s an indictment of RTÉ. This is exactly why Irish football needs a genuine TV deal, not scraps of coverage from whoever happens to show up. The prize money isn’t there. The funding model is fragile. A real broadcast deal is how you finally finance this league properly. Until that exists, moments like this keep repeating.

@RichardLXXII @virginmedia Simple. Arrange a new supplier. Cancel direct debit. Commence a claim under the direct debit guarantee scheme for the un-agreed unauthorised increased amount Never have anything to do with @virginmedia again Except for suing for damages for falsely registered credit reference

  • paz565
    Paz DLXV (@paz565) reported

@O2 The whole 'customer service' provided by O2 in relation to this matter has been nothing short of appalling. As O2 is now associated with Virgin Media, I will be taking the earliest opportunity available to switch the services I have with them too.
