Question for you. If we have a Virgin Media contract (Broadband) in my Wife’s name and we cancel (contract is up) that to then put a new contract in my name is this allowed for the same address?! #VirginMedia

  • westerby1
Norma (Stuckasaurus) Roberts (@westerby1) reported from Thornton, England

@virginmedia Hi, John, is it possible to find out if anyone rang me just before that call was made? I'm wondering if I've responded to something I shouldn't have? I'm normally very careful about unsolicited calls and, usually, hang up, but I'm only human & we all make mistakes! It was April.

  • DarylBeaumont2
Daryl Beaumont (@DarylBeaumont2) reported from Leeds, England

@virginmedia I was moving house they said the bill would be different for the first three months, then back to normal, however apparently I agreed to a new contract @ £14 extra per month, I’d only had my previous contract for 6 months so why would I do this, oh and the house move was cancel

  • westerby1
Norma (Stuckasaurus) Roberts (@westerby1) reported from Thornton, England

@virginmedia You say it's a business number that I spoke to for 23 mins! I checked online & it's not a real area code, but a premium rate number, often used for scams. Thing is, I NEVER ring these people, or press 1, or whatever, I always hang up! But lady said there's nothing u can do, so...

Rebecca (@Bexwa) reported from Dewsbury, England

@virginmedia The TV that it glitches on cant reach the box to get it wired in (but its only 10 ft away) I can't hard wire my laptop in. It goes off all the time! And then keep texting me saying you are coming for the WiFi pod after speaking with customer service. Im paying a fortune for this

  • astolante
Louise🐦🐝🌵🧀🐌 (@astolante) reported from Leeds, England

@virginmedia No, it wasn't clear that a different socket was needed, so rather than have to arrange for an engineer to visit, I cancelled the service. I still have the hardware and am happy to return it

  • Barry80901949
Barry (@Barry80901949) reported from Bradford, England

@virginmedia Have you received my email yet? 21 hours and no response to confirm as you said you would. Still an absolute **** show of a company

  • Lisalav22
Lisa Lavelle (@Lisalav22) reported from Guiseley, England

@virginmedia They never spoke to me or changed anything this is the problem nothing should be resolved because on my side it isn’t, I’ve just had an email to say I’m getting charged £40 for installation from a box change which I was told was free

  • Aidan1964
Aidan Carey (@Aidan1964) reported from Wakefield, England

@virginmedia I'm a new customer and cannot access my account. I've spoken to your customer service team a number of times and they haven't been able to sort my issue out. My account is tagged as a secondary account, but I'm the primary account holder!

  • JoeMHirst
Joe Hirst (@JoeMHirst) reported from Halifax, England

@virginmedia The excuse is always to make further improvements in my area. I have only been with Virgin for around 12 months and this has happened a handful of times. It would be great if I had a consistent network connection. Had multiple engineer callouts to fix that issue to no success.

  • astolante
Louise🐦🐝🌵🧀🐌 (@astolante) reported from Leeds, England

@virginmedia I've received a bill for April but I never actually used your service as I didn't have a compatible socket so cancelled. Trying to sign in, I'm told my email address and account number are not recognised.

  • Yuz6Yusof
Md Yuzaiful Md Yusof (@Yuz6Yusof) reported from Leeds, England

Having been a loyal customer for 4 years with @virginmedia, I have been lied to by customer service. They applied a different package than what agreed on phone. Violation of customer’s right! Rang 3 times since to complain but nothing has been done! Disgraceful @VirginMediaCorp

  • Mcollinson72
Michael Collinson (@Mcollinson72) reported from Wakefield, England

Slow glad to be moving from @virginmedia broadband this Friday. Their advertised speeds used to be unparalleled but since FTTP alternatives becoming available their appalling level of service and refusal to acknowledge or deal with faults has forced a once loyal customer

  • westerby1
Norma (Stuckasaurus) Roberts (@westerby1) reported from Thornton, England

@virginmedia I've been checking & used the PSA website to trace the call and, seemingly, it is a number from a Dyson "contact us" website! Now, I did contact Dyson, a couple of months ago, but it was via an 0800 number, so I will contact Dyson to pursue the matter. Thanks for your help, John!

  • guyrleech
Guy Leech (@guyrleech) reported from Wakefield, England

@virginmedia I do need assistance over why the 4G backup didn't kick in when I had an outage last week but I've raised that with you already, I hope

  • JayDS87
Jay Smith (@JayDS87) reported from Halifax, England

@virginmedia why is my internet disconnecting every 5 minutes and the website won’t load for service updates……

  • guyrleech
Guy Leech (@guyrleech) reported from Wakefield, England

@vmbusiness strike yet again!😠 Not only are they charging me £7/month for 4G backup that doesn't work, they are now charging me £4 for paper bills that I never asked for. Oh, and still say I owe them money despite me overpaying due a to a red letter that they took by DD later

  • mostly_sleepy
    Kat (@mostly_sleepy) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia They never said anything about wanting our broken 2nd TiVO back (had been broken unknown amount of time, so cancelled), and we were going to take it to get WEEE'd. Seeing this I'm glad we put it off long enough that we needed a VM engineer for something else and gave it to him!

  • ConfusedFergie
    Adrian (@ConfusedFergie) reported

3 days in a row WiFi is down... @virginmedia you need to step up your game. Perhaps I won't pay you 3 months in a row and see if that gets you to get your act together...

@virginmedia another outage 24hrs of intermittent signal. When are you going to fix it

  • DeviousPL
    invs86 (@DeviousPL) reported

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt It’s mind-blowing anyone is still using Virgin, they are absolutely awful, network is held together by string and tape and customer services do their absolute best to infuriate you - either dropping the call, long holds or arguing. “Technical faults” are a weekly occurrence.

  • JasonBurns_CM
    Jason Burns (@JasonBurns_CM) reported

@LK_Yanited @Simon_Whale @virginmedia I've taught their customer service about how to fix their own issues it's so bad.

  • Tea_lover99
    Sammy (@Tea_lover99) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia They once set me a virgin box that we had never asked for. Then a year later they tried to charge me for it when I closed the account. Never paid (gave it to a friend).

  • sephiroth17181
    Seph (@sephiroth17181) reported

@RevQntmBigfoot @virginmedia with how bad things have gotten ive decided to get rid of virgin and go with EE 1.6gb connection for £35 a month, install is on tuesday. just sick to death of not having a solid connection and people pretending everything is fine when they just read from scripts

  • original1hanwoo
    Ewan McLachlan (@original1hanwoo) reported

@Simon_Whale @virginmedia Ive been charged by @virginmedia for using a service after I left the property and cancelled everything. Their customer service are so inept that after multiple phone calls etc they still dont understand the situation and have passed the £500 pound charge onto debt collectors.

  • langers777777
    B (@langers777777) reported

@DeviateDefiant @virginmedia @MoneySupermkt You have to play VM at their own game, I have been with them since the days of telewest. Once your contract comes to an end, cancel, within the 30 day cancellation they’ll call you with a new customer offer, works everytime.

  • MrProcter
    MrProcter (@MrProcter) reported

@virginmedia Thank you. And maybe consider disabling it for World Cups, Christmas Day etc? No-one wants their telly to shut down because they've been watching it. I know you understand this. Thanks.
