@virginmedia Morning! Any chance of providing the service that we all pay for today?

  • westerby1
Norma (Stuckasaurus) Roberts (@westerby1) reported from Thornton, England

@virginmedia I've been checking & used the PSA website to trace the call and, seemingly, it is a number from a Dyson "contact us" website! Now, I did contact Dyson, a couple of months ago, but it was via an 0800 number, so I will contact Dyson to pursue the matter. Thanks for your help, John!

@virginmedia @O2 what's the point Virgin is as bad as BT I was supposed to have Virgin Broadband & phone installed on Friday got told yesterday it was delayed til December 1st earliest with no reason as to why asked for a 5G router to get me by til then was put on hold for 20 mins then cut off.

  • JoeMHirst
Joe Hirst (@JoeMHirst) reported from Halifax, England

@virginmedia Been on the phone twice today in relation to this. My broadband is now being monitored (apparently) for the next 24 hours. An engineer will then be booked, depending on the results. It’s not good enough when I’ve had nearly as many engineer visits than months using your service!

Kamal Sharma (@KamalSh03012772) reported from Leeds, England

@virginmedia . C-230122117, my complain is pending with you, which you suppose to resolve with 30 days. Now 30 days have passed and you have not redolve my complaint and been overcharging me for last 2 months. Please resolve.

  • Mcollinson72
Michael Collinson (@Mcollinson72) reported from Wakefield, England

Slow glad to be moving from @virginmedia broadband this Friday. Their advertised speeds used to be unparalleled but since FTTP alternatives becoming available their appalling level of service and refusal to acknowledge or deal with faults has forced a once loyal customer

  • Barry80901949
Barry (@Barry80901949) reported from Bradford, England

@virginmedia free gifts(£150.00) gift voucher& Apple Watch) now she’s been given 5 accounts with a massive bill & you’re asking for a payment to release the gifts. MASSIVE SCAM. D.D cancelled. Racheal Barrass as customer services director I fully expect you to sort this mess out

  • GavHeaton
That Heaton Mess (@GavHeaton) reported from Wibsey, England

@virginmedia Currently not so bad as of yesterday evening. But as @GGTVBD has stated, quite expecting that to change later today. I have noticed however that at a few points throughout the night it must have dropped again as parts of my cctv recording I've reviewed says 'Poor WiFi connection'

  • Mcollinson72
Michael Collinson (@Mcollinson72) reported from Wakefield, England

@virginmedia ongoing intermittent issues with my broadband for weeks now and yet your website gives no option to get through to anyone to help despite it promising to do so. Keeps telling me to check back in 24 hours. Unacceptable level of service!

  • Porter__Face
Richard Porter (@Porter__Face) reported from Halifax, England

  • francesktaylor
Mosaicmania (@francesktaylor) reported from Otley, England

@virginmedia really poor customer service. My sister died, I kept her broadband for her lodgers. Months later, house is sold and I’m told I should have returned the router. £40 fee. I live 200 miles away and I’m not psychic! You never told me about this at the time.

  • philter66

Richard Parker (@Ripark114) reported from Pannal, England

@virginmedia @Ambo2005 I cancelled mine under the 30 day terms (on 3rd try) and my service was immediately disconnected. Now I’m told I have to wait up to 72 hours to be reconnected. Clearly not good enough but what can you do?

  • MENorthAffinity
Michael Edwards (@MENorthAffinity) reported from Leeds, England

It feels like @virginmedia and @VodafoneUK are having some weird competition to decide who has the most inept and frustrating customer experience competition. No one is perfect but to be this consistently terrible is almost admirable.

  • guyrleech
Guy Leech (@guyrleech) reported from Wakefield, England

@vmbusiness strike yet again!😠 Not only are they charging me £7/month for 4G backup that doesn't work, they are now charging me £4 for paper bills that I never asked for. Oh, and still say I owe them money despite me overpaying due a to a red letter that they took by DD later

  • gazbullsfan22
Gareth Rider-Smith (@gazbullsfan22) reported from Keighley, England

@virginmedia Still not helpful once we have paid what you told us after not applying your contract! Been told it’s the agents error on a record call and then saying it’s invalid, and prepared to offer new customer better than current! Massive complaint in writing your staff on phone shocking!

    Anumcara (@Anumcaras) reported

@virginmedia I will be in touch by Monday. I’ve just discovered two layers of payments added to my credit file. Although there was no services connected because your call centre signed me up with an engineer. Knowing I was leaving the country and I needed the internet for my cctv. I was reluctant but rejoined sky and your call centre refused to cancel and persuaded me to move the account to a different address. An address that’s under renovation and empty. There’s something afoot about how all this has been handled and I will be requesting my credit file is amended with your support. Going forth I will update publicly on this thread any success or failures I have with these issues.

@Benleo Disgusting customer service. I’ve had many issues with then. Financial Ombudsman Service have always helped, but now they’ve changed regulators, who are almost as bad as VM. Virgin Media just hiding behind a great product.

  • GothGuyGamer
    Gothguy (@GothGuyGamer) reported

@saltyy_savage start a new contract with virgin media with a new email address, the "new" customers get all the decent prices, sincerely ongoing customer for 10+ years paying £40 for a decent connection

@CityFibre have blanket banned anyone from having fast fibre broadband who has a Telecare device (warden alarm system). @virginmedia the only realistic alternative in my area, had me up and running within 3 days of ordering. No dramas, excellent service!

  • Richard75129359
    Richard Ryan (@Richard75129359) reported

@Benleo @virginmedia I left them years ago as we have fibre now that does 2gb up and download. Had sales people knocking on the door ring doorbell showed one of them spitting at my front door. Called them to report it wasn't interested and told them to never come again still put flyers in the door.

  • IamCarrieagain
    Carrie (@IamCarrieagain) reported

@virginmedia Which part of I am disabled and cannot do this on demand do you not understand? Did you even think of the consequences on your disabled customers? You weren't upfront re my current, working router being switched off after just 5 days. Disgusting service. Now I'm without any

Sadly we are still last mile copper here, no Community/Open Reach fibre yet but we do have Virgin Media (old cable)... Yes I know...but I suspect support will be as **** like nearly all of them now....if Plusnet wasn't dropping phones and Zen wasn't hyper expensive I'd use them.
