  • MENorthAffinity
Michael Edwards (@MENorthAffinity) reported from Leeds, England

It feels like @virginmedia and @VodafoneUK are having some weird competition to decide who has the most inept and frustrating customer experience competition. No one is perfect but to be this consistently terrible is almost admirable.

  • westerby1
Norma (Stuckasaurus) Roberts (@westerby1) reported from Thornton, England

@virginmedia Hi, John, is it possible to find out if anyone rang me just before that call was made? I'm wondering if I've responded to something I shouldn't have? I'm normally very careful about unsolicited calls and, usually, hang up, but I'm only human & we all make mistakes! It was April.

  • a8dullah_mulla
Abdullah Mulla (@a8dullah_mulla) reported from Heckmondwike, England

@virginmedia somethings never change, £21 price increase can’t get you good customer service. Complaint logged for the second time, will I get response this time? 🤔

@WhatTheForkAVFC They sent me a bill once. I've never been a customer of Virgin Media. They couldn't explain why when I eventually got through and sent two reminders to pay, the second quite aggresive, AFTER I had been assured it was an error on their part. Absolute cowboys.

  • GazzaAdams
    Gary Adams (@GazzaAdams) reported

@virginmedia I need this escalated as a formal complaint regarding fault **F012421201**, because the information Virgin Media is providing has now become demonstrably contradictory. At **08:01 today, 20 August**, Virgin Media told me: “Our engineer is on site and they're working to fix the problem.” The estimated repair time given was **18:00 today**. At **15:27 today**, after I have had intermittent service for most of the day and had to hotspot from my phone to be able to work, Virgin Media has now told me: “We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way.” The estimated repair time has also been moved to **14:10 tomorrow, 21 August**. These statements cannot both accurately describe the progress of the same fault. An engineer who was already **on site and working on the problem at 08:01** cannot subsequently be **“on their way” at 15:27** without some explanation. I fully understand that a complex network fault may take longer to repair than initially anticipated, and that estimated restoration times can change. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that Virgin Media is repeatedly providing contradictory factual information about the status of the repair, while I remain without the service I am paying for. I consequently have no confidence in the estimated restoration times being provided. Please therefore: 1. **Log this as a formal complaint and provide me with the complaint reference.** 2. Confirm the actual current status of fault **F012421201**, rather than repeating the automated status information. 3. Explain how an engineer could be reported as on site and working at 08:01 but “on their way” at 15:27. 4. Confirm when the outage affecting my service officially began and that the full period of loss of service has been recorded against my account. 5. Confirm what automatic compensation I will be entitled to for the complete loss of service, where applicable. I have retained screenshots of the outage updates and their timestamps. Please respond to the specific points above rather than sending me another automated repair estimate.

@virginmedia 3rd street-wide outage this year in LS6 tonight. Surveyors have confirmed my property is infra-locked with zero Openreach/Altnet access. Virgin holds a total monopoly here, yet the local street infrastructure is failing. Shambolic really, I need this escalating.

Hey @virginmedia Why are there constant broadband issues in the fy4 area? Regular cut offs. At least half a dozen times so far this month. Contract to soon, so maybe time to switch if you can't provide a reliable service. Ps,your chat bot is also as useless as your broadband.
