@virginmedia I'm well aware of the service status page, but when it just gives a generic 'we know there's a problem and hope to get it fixed by 3pm' it's not very helpful. But seemingly the chatbot is even less so. Just lost connection for the 3rd time in 28 hours. #Anyone4Starlink?

@VisctFishpond @virginmedia I had similar problems to you; got the runaround from Virgin. Lots of research done and the issue is almost certainly the router. You can buy a third-party router and turn the virgin router into a modem. Solved all my problems. Worth a try.

@virginmedia @mouthwaite Hi John; just jumping in on this. You really need to start advising customers properlyit doesn’t matter how many technicians visit it won’t solve the problem of the poor standard router and your default settings.

Stuart Paterson (@Gordonsalive200) reported from Bedford, England
Are there any other UK @skytv customers having trouble with Sky Q boxes over a #virginmedia broadband connection?
-
Rob Anderson #TipToeingOutOfHibernation (@Tech_Analyst_UK) reported from Bedford, England
2nd day running that @virginmedia services have dropped out. Unacceptable with so many working from home. Chatbot just redirects to service status #fail

Chris Belcher (@PC_Lawyer) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@virginmedia broadband down again in SG6 ... makes home working a pretty frustrating experience!
-
Tony (@tony_cop) reported from Ampthill, England
@LloydGriffith @virginmedia The worst company to deal with by some distance. Can never talk to anyone. Just some automated guff. Where you go round in circles
-
Su Felce (@swimmingsu) reported from Cardington, England
So frustrated with @virginmedia spend over an hour on hold only to be cut off by their customer service rep #whatcustomerservice #frustrated #zerocustomerservice

Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@StMirrenDaft @virginmedia @mat_fraser One of the key issues is their router. It’s rubbish and has programming which means main signal isn’t direct for WiFi. I had this problem; buy another router and turn Virgin one into modem. It solved my problem.
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@virginmedia You do realise that the majority of messages sent to you are people complaining that your Wi-Fi is very poor? So perhaps concentrate on that for existing clients rather than pushing new sales? Poor router is the issue. #slowerfaraway

In a constantly changing world we need something to rely on. @virginmedia can guarantee that you will be kept on hold long enough to see if you die waiting for help. #crapcustomerserviceasusual
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@Lindzell_LFC @virginmedia It’s their router. All the calls in the world won’t change the problem. You can buy a new router abs connect it to the Virgin one. Worked for me.

Petar Kralev (@PetarKralev) reported from Fen Drayton, England
@virginmedia Another bot service that resolve nothing ! Thanks but no thanks

Nancy Paladina (@NPaladina) reported from Bedford, England
@virginmedia Had to have a really tough call this evening to query a bill sent to my deceased father’s address. I want to highlight the exceptional customer service I received from Franco (no idea how else to identify him), but he was truly amazing and did everything he could 👏🏼
-
Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@virginmedia It’s not specific to me; and to be honest I’m not really bothered. The problem is your marketing 5G phones in areas that don’t have 5G which is affectively mis-selling. Probably something you should look into.

Let's get back to normal #KBF (@TMITV19) reported from Bedford, England
@virginmedia *poor

Jason Flynn 💙 (@jasondflynn) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England
@AdamDea29742908 @virginmedia But buying one between £50 and £200 will probably suit most and if it turns out it doesn’t solve your problems it hasn’t broken the bank. I went for an Asus one at about £120. Netgear is another strong brand. I had poor WiFi for years and it was a massive improvement. 2/2

Su Felce (@swimmingsu) reported from Cardington, England
@virginmedia 1/2 been on the phone for over an hour on hold waiting for customer service - finally get through and the customer service rep cuts me off before I even say what I want...

@virginmedia Hi, we are at our wits end trying to get help from Virginmedia for 86 yr old father in law. He has dementia, no idea of passwords no email. My husband has registered power of attorney with Virgin but trying to get help to change the account is impossible, it just rings no answer.
-
Andrew Creer NAMMT(RM) (@AndrewMassage) reported
@virginmedia But you make it impossible to cancel the contract - my wife has been trying for over 24 hours now and you keep saying the information she is providing is incorrect - it beyond frustrating 🤬
-
George Messa (@georgemessa) reported
@virginmedia We reboot it all the time to try and fix it but it only ever works for a few hours. Rebooted a few days ago I think. I haven't been told about a BQM so that would be good. I also would like to find out about getting a booster upstairs so I can run a wired connection
-
neal b (@goonerneal) reported
@virginmedia It’s following on from the beginning of these messages, I had a engineer out Saturday 15th and unfortunately he couldn’t rectify the problem, said somebody else would need to come out and sort it but I’ve heard nothing since ? I’m now paying for 1gb and not getting it ?
-
chris maher (@chrismayoman11) reported
@virginmedia worst service ever broad band and tv deal up in 2 months will be cancelling the lot and moving to @sky if they have good deals 😜
-
John Nicol (@MrNicol1) reported
@virginmedia I rang to cancel on 9 Dec and agreed cancellation date was 8 Jan. attached what’s app capture confirms. Yes can chat between those times, but would need 15 mins notice of call time.
-
Sarah Louise Robinson (@slrtheauthoress) reported
@virginmedia Nope. Your engineers keep telling us they are coming out to do works — like today — we call to confirm, they confirm it’s happening and then it gets cancelled with no warning. Todays installation has now been pushed to 8th feb with no resolution.
-
George Messa (@georgemessa) reported
@virginmedia It's just so unreliable, the speeds fluctuate so much that it makes it so frustrating to use. I've spoken with your customer service teams before and they always want to do a speed test, which doesn't reveal the nature of the problem
-
emma may (@BallardEmmamay) reported
@virginmedia Do you mean these this PDF? I do hope that you are not insulting my intelligence along with the horrific customer service I have received. I believe I am being treated unfairly and being deliberately left in financial hardship as a way of penalising me for leaving Virgin Media

kevin o connor (@kevinoconnor26) reported
@virginmedia The link does not state a time Have received a text now saying fix time expected to be 26th of January by 13.00 We have been told this several times
