  • Pogit
Richard Adams (@Pogit) reported from Lincoln District, England

Any update to the Digital Landline faults in #Lincoln @virginmedia. I’m told the cancellation my services for the 1st April has been cancelled why is this? Why are 150 trying to upsell me @VMO2News products when your core products don’t work! +3wks without a landline @Ofcom help

  • HannGrenade__
Hannah Stevenson (@HannGrenade__) reported from Lincoln District, England

Terrible service from @virginmedia, was told Internet would be on by 9am today, activated line, nothing happened, customer services made me jump through hoops and had the most disgusting attitude, then been palmed off with the old "it's been reset, give it an hour". Disgraceful.

  • castiger14
🔱ayne (@castiger14) reported from Lincoln District, England

So @virginmedia are doing a discounted deal plus £100 credit for ex service people who have the DDS card , very good of them if they didn’t tell me that it can only be done online!! So if you’ve served your country and decide to call them on the phone , tough! @discounts_mod

  • Pogit
Richard Adams (@Pogit) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia not happy #VirginMedia landline forcibly converted to digital line after “fault” broadband outage 1am this morning sets off lifeline phone line warning. The point of having a big red emergency button is when there’s an emergency you press it and it calls for HELP!

  • SkyAlicry
AlicrySky (@SkyAlicry) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia It’s intermittent. Not off often enough to be called no service or you’d have to pay us back for the lack of service but not on long enough to be much use.

  • obendorf
Simon Obendorf (@obendorf) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia No. Trying to upgrade to a faster broadband-only plan. Chat can’t do it because cancelling the landline I don’t use is heretical. Fastest broadband speeds require me to take a SIM I don’t want or need. Online tries to push a TV service. No one listens. Customer fumes.

  • greznic
Grez Nicholson (@greznic) reported from Skellingthorpe, England

@virginmedia any problems in the LN6 area, your connection keeps dropping

  • Clive_Burt

@virginmedia Also perhap if you read the full thread, it would help.

  • Clive_Burt
Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia Is it an instructional twitch of all customer service officers, to say "I am sorry ....", wouldn't it be better if your organisation actually did something about it? So it becomes the exception and is not the norm?

  • Clive_Burt
Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia I do really get fed up with VirginMedias poor service and platitudes. The speed on my internet connection is down less than 56kb, but your Helpdesk technicians consider this to be a problem

  • ONLYONEGIBBO
GIBBO (@ONLYONEGIBBO) reported from Waddington, England

So @virginmedia refused to let @SkyUK transfer our landline so now all services have been removed by SKY. How can people work from home when you give a fix date of 3 December - thus needs sorting now - no TV, no WiFi no phone

  • Clive_Burt
Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia @KazH50 Can you tell me what the issues are in Lincoln, speed down to 2Mbs ... Paying for 200Mbs

  • MattBenson1
Matt Benson (@MattBenson1) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia Hi - nope. Thats the issue, no response on the text service and the call centre just gets into a loop and I can’t book anyone. Help!

  • cutechub69
Justin (Kandi Kane) Hussey (@cutechub69) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia Still no reply I’ve sent messages in all Social media platforms as well as emails, I refuse to call the number anymore because it’s already cost me £47 in pound charges trying to sort out my connection issues, I’m feeling very let down by your service at the moment!

  • Davith03257086
Davith (@Davith03257086) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia Can you please tell me why your broadband is so rubbish it can't even support me streaming a game of the PlayStation network?. It happens every day all day. Sort it out

  • SkyAlicry
AlicrySky (@SkyAlicry) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia I’ve given up. You’ve failed yet again to provide what I we needed. I’m not surprised. Virgin Media is fast becoming synonymous with this lack of service. I do NOT recommend you to friends and family.

  • Clive_Burt
Clive Burt (@Clive_Burt) reported from North Hykeham, England

@virginmedia @dev101 Your on-call Network support, who had to wait 18 hours to be sent the ticket, and then he had to endure 4 hours on the phone to India. 2 other households in area also affected. Offer of compensation £0 (issue occurred 15:30 17/9, finally rectified 18:30 19/9).

  • JonLPage
Jon Page (@JonLPage) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia Hello! Do you have any update on the intermittency issues in LN5?

  • lexyfj_
Lexy F-J 🦊 (@lexyfj_) reported from Lincoln District, England

@virginmedia hello, I'm having an issue signing into my online account, I've tried resetting my password and have entered the correct information multiple times, it says that the site doesn't recognise my account/password. Can you please advise?

  • Pogit
Richard Adams (@Pogit) reported from Lincoln District, England

@O2 @virginmedia Thanks I’ll look into what multi-sim plans you have but the reason I left was due to poor family, multi user based tariffs.

@virginmedia @fernrix I once had virgin broadband and thank god I didn’t renew my contract. Your customer service is pathetic !

  • gingerlegs747
    Gingerlegs747 (@gingerlegs747) reported

@dshensmith @Benleo @virginmedia I had a customer that I went out to maybe 10 times for endless disconnections on their WiFi, turns out they had fitted her a faulty refurbished router from day one.

  • Sir_Moanalot_
    Sir Moanalot (@Sir_Moanalot_) reported

@Benleo @virginmedia They are awful. I’ve been stuck with an exorbitantly priced rolling contract because I plan to move house soon and have no idea if wherever I move to will have VM cable in the street. Zero reward for customer loyalty. When I do finally move, @virginmedia can get in the bin.

  • LouiseMensch
    Louise Bagshawe (@LouiseMensch) reported

Wow. Shockingly bad by @virginmedia. Lying to @BenLeo that he needed a new contract in order to get equipment repaired, misselling him the contract with a box that didn’t work (admitted by them) and then telling him he wasn’t allowed to go back to his old contract.

  • helkhiana
    Helkhiana (@helkhiana) reported

@saltyy_savage I had Virgin media for years and only issues and expensive contracts. I am on Plusnet right now £43/46 for 900mb with 0 problems and uk customer services. They do £3 increase yearly and I am curious to see my first contract end what I'll get. Bet still better than virgin

  • Andy_wxm
    Andy Jones (@Andy_wxm) reported

@virginmedia Been a customer of yours for 2 months and my broadband keeps dropping out. Have switched off the hub and back on yet the broadband signal is still having the same problems

  • MCCsboy
    Me. Iam...... (@MCCsboy) reported

@skytv has the WORST customer service possible - I advise everyone against using this service. Choose @virginmedia. Told @skytv agent x3 times to speak to manager - request refused! Rubbish products that do not work! Cancelling the lot!

  • idczn
    D (@idczn) reported

The only contract I ever signed with Virgin Media was in 2018, and it continues to this day. I have never changed or upgraded it; I only occasionally tried to report home network connection issues. It turns out that in November 2024, a two-year contract was accepted, which I only found out about in 2025 when I wanted to cancel their services. I couldn't leave them XD However, checking who did this on my behalf and when (because it certainly wasn't me) was impossible, as I had no way to log into my Virgin account Now I cansee- the accepted contract has different number? There is no any signature of mine- and information that was sent to e-mail: back then controlled by hacker

  • Rough_Shuffle
    Rough Shuffle 🔀 (@Rough_Shuffle) reported

@Benleo @virginmedia I recently had to contact them. Their CS is the worst ever experienced. It's like it's ran entirely by 12 year olds on work experience. I'm horrified at how bad it is. Initially contacted because of a litany of f'ups on their part. CS seems completely dethatched from the company.

    @virginmedia Joke Customer Service.
