Crawford Milne (@CrawfordMilne) reported from Glasgow, ScotlandSo @virginmedia won't send out a technician because the signal coming into my house is fine - even though I keep telling them it's a problem with the WiFi from the router. I was offered a technician at a cost of £25 !! Absolutely disgraceful customer 'service'.
-
Francesca Docherty (@FrancescaDocher) reported from Overtown, Scotland@virginmedia you are not very good at keeping your side of the contract but you expect regular FULL payment for INCOMPLETE SERVICE AND EQUIPMENT. Your customer service need more training on how to complete work orders and deliver the proper equipment.
-
oor Jim (@jimnimmo60) reported from Airdrie, Scotland@O2 @virginmedia probably the worst mobile phone company to deal with. Customer service is a joke. Trying to resolve fraudulent activity on my account and no understanding. Abysmal. Please go anywhere else except them. Just cut me off now.
-
Respawn Doesn't Respond (@PotatoAimZero2) reported from East Kilbride, Scotland@virginmedia Connection keeps cutting every 45 or so minutes. Receiving 0 to no network what so ever at any giving time. -
Gallagher D (@Jockthrax) reported from Airdrie, Scotland@virginmedia Possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with. Cut off twice. I only wanted to buy a new remote. Absolute shambles of a company. Disgraceful customer service.
-

-

Redemption80 (@RedemptionBroon) reported from Birkenshaw, Scotland@GSpellchecker @virginmedia They are rarely competent, not as bad as Vodafone but no one is. Broadband speed wise though no one is close so no interest in cancelling.
-
bristian cungay (@ChristianBunga7) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@virginmedia Yeah, I’ve already done this. I had a guy sent out to take a look and he just left without fixing it. Mind I can’t use most of these support things cause I was never sent my customer number or contract information. This does also make it so I’m unable to cancel my contract @Ofcom
-
Elenita (@Coops_71) reported from Thornliebank, Scotland@virginmedia I’ve waited 12 hours and still have the same issue
-
Joan Murdoch (@ThistleTigger) reported from Dennistoun, Scotland@virginmedia No, it's not fixed. Same thing happening now as it did yesterday. Alexa cannot connect to Internet, yet my phone can. Echo Dot has been checked and is fine so problem is with @virginmedia
-
Anne Marie McPhee (@nuttynanaannie) reported from Motherwell, Scotland@virginmedia OK. That's fine . Every time I service check my broadband it tells me there's a fault in my area and its being investigated and to come back in 24 hours and it will be looked into but when I do this it just gives the same response . Its very confusing. And not very helpful at.
-
Alexander Adair 🌙 (@AlexxAdair) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@virginmedia It wont even let me run a speed test. When I go to status check it says no problem found but when I call I says intermittent issues??
-
bristian cungay (@ChristianBunga7) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@virginmedia The checks tell me there are issues. regardless I don’t really care about wider issues in my area. I’ve been sent in a loop for the past month and it’s still broken, I’ve been paying for this time and not receiving a service - this is not the first time either @Ofcom
-
Loraine Riddick (@LoraineRiddick2) reported from Glasgow, Scotland@virginmedia I’ve phoned numerous times and had to hang up as constantly kept waiting, but will try again this evening when it might be easier to speak to someone
-
Tony McCaffery (he/they) (@tonymccaffery) reported from Glasgow, ScotlandHey @virginmedia, can you help please? I’ve never plugged a landline phone to my router since becoming a customer. (I never needed one til now). So I just took the voip/landline adapter out the box and it’s broken. How do I get a new one so that I can plug in a landline? Thanks.
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Lynne Harper (@LynneHa33713143) reported@andyburnham Just keep issuing massive fines to these companies like you did with Virgin Media until these companies make it much less complicated to cancel their subscriptions.
-
Trevor Hambley (@1bigtrev) reported@biggle1908 I changed to Virgin media for that same reason. Very happy customer.
-
Tom (@tommoyiddo) reported@JKloppsKop @PolitlcsUK Virgin Media isnt a subscription service. Its a telecommunications service. You get 14 days from when you sign up to their services by phone or online already.
-
Brown (@BrownyanYK) reported@littlemankay Hoping it can be gotten with virgin media too again (yes that's a real wifi network)
-
Brit Ian (@dearbrit_ian) reported@SandyofSuffolk You really are out of touch, unsurprisingly. Virgin Media getting fined £28 million for preventing customers from cancelling their subscription shows that this is endemic. Many businesses insist that you contact them via telephone to cancel, but they make it impossible to reach them via telephone. These days, many recurring payments are automated against your bank card so you cannot cancel it via the app, you have to cancel the actual card.
-
paul d (@pauldewolfe) reported@virginmedia I’m now speaking to your web team, who have found a better offer that your renewal team couldn’t. It’s too late now, though, as I want to cancel.
-
AHMADINHO 🇳🇬🇬🇧 (@dinho_1545) reported@Buzillion Now three is giving me 15 pounds option sha , the problem is the building only had virgin media service
-
Wix (@wixinho) reported@steppaCS @virginmedia They’re so ****. Since moving back I’m on EE and never had any issues other than a day outage when they were doing maintenance on the area.

Investigation Findings The regulatory investigation covered calls made between January 1, 2022, and September 11, 2024. Ofcom found that MILLIONS of customer service interactions were mishandled to prevent or delay cancellations. Specific tactics included: • Deliberately dropping or hanging up calls when customers asked to cancel. Putting callers on hold for no reason to frustrate them Excessive and unnecessary call transfers between departments. Using a two-tier retention system where only specific agents were allowed to process final cancellations. THIS LOT ARE CONFIRMED CRUEL SCAMMERS

michaela👑💋 (@michaelad1997) reportedSomeone give us a good WiFi provider. Currently with @Hyperoptic that is shocking, TV loads every 2 minutes. Also been with @virginmedia and NEVER again, shocking connection. So yeah an actual decent recommendation would be nice
