I speak to @EE on Thursday who tell me they are a company who have not taken part in consumer law in 2016.....

Paul (@Paul82864835) reported@EE Do not buy a new #SamsungGalaxy from EE, they are just the same phones as 2 years ago, get a used one no contract and save a load of cash, a new phone isn't a guarantee on reliability as I had a new £1300 phone and EE wouldn't fix it nor would Samsung, total rip off !!

Could that be the reason it's not working because apple use the mobile number as the apple ID and its obviously the same number I'm using?
