  Absolute shocking service from @EE .. sold me a WiFi sim a few months back after explaining my situation regarding a small no of months till upgrade, and I have gone to cancel this WiFi sim to be told it is in a 24 month contract and I can’t cancel it without paying £360!!!

  @EE Yes, we have a scheme paid4 from our annual gov budget which Eng could have instigated too from theirs but chose not to. However mob companies coming to the aid of Eng fams was noticeable as was their omission of supporting Wales/Sco families. Never too late to make amends tho’

  @EE Thx. The issue is that many users are generally older not very tech savvy, (my neighbour is 92) and so could well end up with no service if there is a power cut.

  @EE Still no resolution on this. After all day trying I was eventually told on Monday the 12 month would be created for me. Only for the contract to be sent over at 24 months. When I queried they said contact again in 48 hours for it to be re written. Now being told o can’t have it
