More than 12 months later I have been contacted by debt recovery agents. Not only did @TalkTalk not cancel at my request they continued to charge me for over 12 months, at one point even renewing my contract. All with no contact despite my request.

@JasElizabethB I have talktalk but had problems during setup and their customer service is a right faff. they did give me £70 compensation for the problems though and the pricing is pretty reasonable. only very occasionally does the service drop out for a minute or two but it's rare.
