@TalkTalk What a surprise.. I finally got a call from a case manager from CEO team after my tweet, told she would call me back with update yesterday at 12.30pm.... No call or email.... and no response from @dburdon either... I’m moving my account to a company that can do customer service!

  • PaulTCinnamon
Paul Cinnamon (@PaulTCinnamon) reported from Harrow Weald, England

@TalkTalk Most #appalling #CustomerService trying to cancel account on three occasions x2 on phone x1 on live chat on x2 different days #system #incompetence #prevents - record of live chat instructing to close and cancelled direct debit will have to do!

  • carolinehjames
Caroline James (@carolinehjames) reported from Esher, England

The issue is affecting a number of TD residents and impacts those who don’t have mobiles. Still no service for those in the High st. Let’s hope it is sorted soon. @TDResidents @TalkTalk

  • Paul63B
Paul Bibby (@Paul63B) reported from Richmond, England

@UB5simon I'm on TalkTalk. They're not perfect but my research tells me none of them are. I hardly ever get connectivity problems & they're cheap. I now find the best approach to customer services is to avoid them unless 100% necessary, which means only when I have a hardware problem.

  • jodyrule
jodyrule (@jodyrule) reported from Winkfield, England

Honorary mention to @TalkTalk Like @VodafoneUK they too thought **** it why call a customer when we say we will. #4weekslater #nothing

  • Borja_Bilbao
Borja Bilbao (@Borja_Bilbao) reported from Hounslow, England

For my UK friends...please avoid @TalkTalk and their network services. You will be more offline than online and they will not make the best as possible to fix it as soon as possible.

  • deveena_r
Deveena R (@deveena_r) reported from Brentford, England

@TalkTalk why have you sent me a bill when I am no longer a customer of yours and have terminated my contract?

  • Aizaz58542395
Aizaz (@Aizaz58542395) reported from West Molesey, England

@TalkTalk Been sending so many DMs with no response. I'm fed up. You just cannot phone me to help. Been leaving so many messages. You've even set up another direct debit but still refuse to send someone to help set me up. I'm disgusted.

  • DianeCoyle1859
Diane Coyle (@DianeCoyle1859) reported from Richmond, England

Hi @TalkTalk So @ruskin147 has been on a call to your ATROCIOUS customer service number for 1hr on behalf of an elderly relative - seems like she has been mis-sold a new package - & they absolutely refuse to accept there’s an issue.

  • GaryAblett3
Greyman (Gary A) (@GaryAblett3) reported from West Molesey, England

Hopefully. But seeing as your team have failed to contact me when they say they were going to, I feel that tweeting is the only method of communicating the issue. #richardbranson #libertyglobal #loyalty #customerservice #bt #talktalk #offcom #plusnet

  • NotTell24055912
    Not Telling You (@NotTell24055912) reported

@currys you are currently giving the 100% worst customer service i've experienced since leaving TalkTalk 10 years ago. You should be ashamed. My elderly and vulnerable grandfathers fridge freezer delivery has not shown up as planned yesterday. No customer support at all.

  • homegoal
    angela pring (@homegoal) reported

@TalkTalk I would recommend to anyone not to bother going with Talktalk for their broadband as the customer service is shocking. You can only talk to someone online not a physical person and you just get fobbed off and mislead and your issue don’t get fixed

  • HonorUkb
    Honor Barnes UK (@HonorUkb) reported

@TalkTalk I absolutely do NOT recommend TalkTalk. We spent hours trying to renew the contract. And today it turns out TalkTalk made errors and we have been “chatting”to SEVERAL “departments” for four hours still not sorted. This is criminal! Moving asap to a UK based one.

  • Lifeline04India

@TalkTalk talk Talk is Down Globally? Please confirm as ur support team is pathetic

  • maggie_tat
    MaggieTat (@maggie_tat) reported

@tesssummers98 I've just spent over 4 hours talking with a TalkTalk chatbot. Eventually managed to resolve my issue by cancelling the service. If I'd spoken to an actual person the problem would have been solved in two minutes. It's absurd.

  • Mia1257A
    MAC (@Mia1257A) reported

I have been a Talktalk customer for years but they are really testing my patience at the moment @talktalk

  • ronniesands

@TalkTalk Mate just re instate my email account every day this week someone from TalkTalk has promised to fix it promised they care they haven’t they don’t

  • WF2K_
    Kerrie (@WF2K_) reported

@llqdave @TalkTalk @TalkTalkGroup They did that to me as well until I sent them a blunt response. And no, talking to customer service on here doesn't help much at all. They have less access than those on webchat and email etc.

  • devilscustard
    Twiggy Bigwood (@devilscustard) reported

@Andy_Ross1962 @TalkTalk Sounds brilliant! We are using a Smarty sim in a mobile router. Have done for nearly a year. It’s the only way to get any WiFi. Most of my videos are uploaded on the side of the road! TalkTalk know our problems, did nothing and kept taking the cash!

Real world weight, then the fix. SQL injection has powered some of the largest breaches in history. The 2017 Equifax era of breaches, TalkTalk, Heartland Payment Systems: hundreds of millions of records, much of it through injection flaws. It has sat at the top of the OWASP vulnerability lists for two decades. The fixes are well known. For SQLi: parameterized queries, which keep user input permanently separated from database commands. For XSS: input validation and output encoding, so anything a user submits gets treated as text, never as runnable code. Never trust user input. Sanitize and validate everything, every time.
