I'm posting my problems with TalkTalk to emphasise my point that the railway social media teams are ahead of not just other transport modes but other industries. The e-mail problem affecting me began at 10.00 on Friday. It finally appeared on the TalkTalk service site 45 min ago.

@CateSevilla @virginmedia They then tried to fine me for not sending their 'hub' back and refused to refund the house move cost I'd paid a few months earlier. So so incompetent! SO stressful when all of us work from home too. I moved to TalkTalk & is cheaper and no problems so far, at least :)

@TalkTalk Becky. This problem was first reported by affected dial.pipex users on the TalkTalk "Community website shortly after it started at 10.00 last Friday. I'm staggered that it has taken 50 hours for it to be made official. How will we be notified when service is restored?

@TalkTalk Yes, the inability of my e-mail account to receive messages since the so-called "upgrade" at 10.00 on Friday. I have a pipex.dial account. Can you tell me when I will be able to retrieve my e-mail? And why have customers not been contacted about this prolonged outage?

Worst customer service ever experienced @TalkTalk @TalkTalkGroup spent one full hour on phone and they end up hanging up on me! Trying to cancel my home broadband with one week of line going live becuse I am not getting any connection and they try to charge me for cancellation!

Email from @TalkTalk claiming that "We remain committed to providing all of our customers with the best value connection compared to our competitors" because they are putting their price up by only CPI+3.7% and not CPI+3.9%. CMA really need to crack down on in contract rises.

@talktalk your bereavement service is not fit for purpose. Rude and hugely insensitive staff who keep you waiting on the phone on and off for 50 minutes to cancel a landline and a mobile phone account. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Other firms get it right why can't you?
